Came to Kraving Kebab Pizza after doing some digging on local eats that aren't basic or fast food. I've visited twice and have left satisfied! If you haven't had Swedish pizza yet, this is your sign to try it! Located in the Scandia Village along the train tracks of Turlock, Kraving Kebab fits right in with the plaza's Swedish/European aesthetic. The inside looks like a typical pizza parlor with dark wood and multiple booths to eat in. You order at the counter and find a seat if you're dining in. We have ordered: - Some variation of shawarma/gyro pizza - always a good choice. The meat with the sauce and pepperoncini taste great, plus on top of the pizza crust (crispy btw, no soggy bottoms)... even better. - Swedish pizza - the thought of bananas with chicken in a pizza kinda scares me. But trust, the taste goes so well together. The SO says it gives breakfast vibes. It has a great sweet and salty combo. - Shawarma loaded fries - this comes in a huge dish with a crazy slathering of their sauce that they have to present the dish on top of another plate to catch all the sauce lol Fries are crispy and the meat with the pickled jalapenos go well with it. - Wings - these were crispy and has a good glaze on it. Wish the mango habanero was actually spicy though. - Kanafa - crispy, creamy, cheesy. Definitely a must eat asap type of dish since it's hard to re-heat once cooled. Service is pretty standard. There was one incident in which the order was placed wrong and we ended up receiving a personal sized pizza of our correct order (and got to keep the mistake). I thought that was a nice touch. Overall, Kraving Kebab is one of those places that I would go out of my way to return to. Try the Swedish pizza!! read more

This pizza is so delicious, up there with some of the best pizza in Stanislaus. I'm new to mediterranean so I can't really compare it to anything, but it's exactly you want from a pizza. It's cheesy, crispy, and great toppings that complement one another. The interior is pretty run down unfortunately. read more

I love fusion restaurants and this one was a hit! The fries were not really salted, but they were still delicious. The wings were nice and crispy and the flavors tasted very homemade. I just wish the mango habanero was spicier, but that is just a personal preference. Now the pizza, it was the star of the meal. The crust was perfectly baked, it wasn't too thick or too thin. The gyro had a lot going on, but it all worked perfectly together. This might be my new favorite pizza in the area. The service was great, they kept checking in on us. Service was good! Decent to be completely honest. It was quick and simple. Went on a Sunday and it was fairly empty which in my experience can be a red flag for business. However I also do acknowledge Turlock is a fairly slow and calm town. Music was great and playing at a conversational level. Food was good! I ordered the two meat plate of Chicken and Kebab! And I enjoyed it, very salty and the chicken fell on a "carne asada" taste comparison. The meat was well cooked and tender. Rice was nice and soft. The salad was fresh and their sauce was delicious. Not very spicy more on a creamy side with a hint of spice. Very good nonetheless. I plan on coming back and trying their Pizzas since that's what they advertise and updating my review. Good spot for different flavored pizzas other than the usual pepperoni or combo. Had a Spicy bbq chicken pizza that had a lot of flavor. Pricing was about normal for a pizza now a days. Located right near Stanislaus State. Was ready when they said it would be and very nice servers. Plenty of parking and large indoor area. read more

The pizza wasn't the best. They charge extra for a large party, the fries needed salt, the wings had no flavor, it was like they only used the sauce for flavor which isn't good enough. Their large only has 8 slices of pizza. Bathroom is dirty. I recommend you visit if your expectations aren't high. 2 stars, 1 for the ok pizza, 1 for the employees working hard. They need to step up the experience they give their customers. read more

Food and service were fantastic. The host was very friendly and incredibly helpful with our selection. Everything looked and sounded as delicious it was. We had half gyro and half chicken nachos. One word, YUM!!!! The dish was served with fried flour tortilla chips, gyro and chicken meat, onions, jalapeños, olives, and a warm, rich, creamy hummus spread (better than any other I've had). I went here today after hearing great things and this is HANDS DOWN my favorite restaurant in Turlock. Not only is staff very sweet, but the food if also delicious. The cashier was very helpful and gave amazing recommendations. The chicken kebab supreme pizza was phenomenal. We also indulged in some chicken wraps and jalapeño poppers which are a must try! Always a hit for a quick bite to eat. Pizza is good. Pita, hummus and jalapeno poppers are the best!! Service is fast and friendly. Plenty of seating (indoor only) but parking can be an issue at times. Small room that can be used for smaller private lunch/dinner party. Great for a to go office order! We use them and buy family dinners to feed 20+. read more

They were supposed to close at 8 pm we called and asked if they could stay open a little later for a special event and they had no problem with it. The place was clean and quiet. If you know what shawarma and hummus should taste like, and you live in the valley (Stanislaus county) then this is your place to eat both, if you come here for the food alone;... you have made the right choice, but if you plan to sit down with a friend and/or family member then it is an excellent choice,.. lively, but not loud, awesome staff, skilled cooks, clean facilities..., pray that this business stays open, if only for keeping the tradition of good food in America! Ordered at 7:03 for delivery. EST time was 7:48. Still had no food at 8:35. Called restaurant and they said the order was picked up and delivered. I requested a call when delivering. Did not receive call. Restaurant said I needed to contact GrubHub. Gave me the delivery person's number and said they couldn't do anything. Called person and had to leave a message. It's now an hour later and no call. Tried GrubHub and the note on the website said they were too busy to help at this time. read more

Stopped here during a road trip at 11am, genuinely considering ordering, but the experience turned us off. Instead of being welcoming, the lady seemed more concerned about whether we were going to use the restroom than actually treating us like potential customers. Order number 001532... order online, husband went to pick up. We love the chicken supreme kebab pizza.. we ordered wings and garlic fries as well this time. I was really looking forward to trying their baklava but when my husband got home it wasn't in the bag... he said it was busy there so I can understand minor mistakes. They still get a 5 star rating... garlic fries aren't bad for the price, pizza is bomb, wings are good too although I wished they were spicier. Will eat here again read more

We were quickly seated after ordering two different flavors of hookah. We had a pineapple and a mint one. Both flavors were pretty decent, with the mint one being my favorite one of the night. What makes this place stand out from other hookah places is that they also serve some drinks. They have a few teas and coffee available. The place is laid back, spacious and pretty chill. The decor is a bit different and doesn't seem to really go with the theme/flow of the place. Maybe if it was a bit more modern rather than just some random painting it would be cool. The staff came around to make sure we were doing ok and change our coals here and there but sadly I wasn't able to hear half the things she would say to us.
