My experience was unacceptable. I purchased tickets for tonight's comedy show, drove 30 minutes to the venue, and then waited another 20 minutes outside with no response from anyone. Calls to (708-422-5055) went unanswered. There was zero communication, no staff present, and no updates to ticket holders. This is not how any reputable event should operate. My time and money were wasted due to poor management and a complete lack of accountability. Has anyone had to receive a refund for pre-sale tickets?

Old azz stage with the cheapest back splash that's coming off.

I am here on Father's Day. The show started late- it was supposed to start at 7, we waited 40 mins. The venue is outdated. There is a 2 drink minimum. Cash only! Ridiculous drink prices... I don't drink but forced to drink with an automatic 20% gratuity. SMDH... Bottle water - $5 Cup of flat pop - $6 Bottle beer - $7 - $9 Glass of Wine - $8- $10 Mixed drinks - $10 - $18 If you are going to charge, put money back into the business. Update the place. It's so dated! The comedians were ok. The acoustics terrible. The reverend was the best followed by the head liner, and the guys who imitate voices. The host was a host, he was pretty funny and ignorant at the same time.

Comedy show right in Oak Lawn/Alsip. Show was really funny. We did the 8pm show and grabbed dinner right before at Barrel Club. With purchase of tickets here it gets you entry but there is a 2 drink minimum. Prices for wine was $9 but well liquor started at $13 and for premium $18. Show ran on time. Parking lot attached but up front spots go quickly. All in all, I would return. Cash only so bring cash or have to use atm in comedy club.

Riddles is located in a small strip mall with very limited parking. Upon arrive, we noticed that all of the parking spots were taken. We ended up parking next to the Tile Store across the street, and had to cross the busy street which was pretty unsafe at that time of night. Cars were speeding! That is highly inconvenient. The seating in Riddles was very tight and compacted. I highly disliked sitting that close to other parties. I was kicked by the big lady in front of me several times. The seats were tiny, hard, and uncomfortable. I found it difficult to see the stage from the back. The opening comedians were not funny at all. The main act of T. K. Kirkland, and he was entertaining. Unfortunately, all of his materials were X-rated so please beware. This is not a clean comedy show. There is a 2-drink minimum, and that is fine as long as it is mentioned before the show starts. Unfortunately, the drinks were served in small cups with barely any liquor in it. It was just a cup of ice with a small amount of liquor, which is a waste of money for 10 dollars apiece. I suggest just ordering 1 watered down drink and a bottle of water to meet the 2 drink requirements. The wait staff was absolutely terrible. (Note that this is a cash only bar)! The waitress was uninformed about the beverages and unhelpful. She couldn't answer any questions. At the end of the night, the waitress attempted to run off with the change from several patrons. Many tables waited for their change back, but the waitress stressed that it was too dark and that she couldn't see the money to give the change back. When the lights came on after the show, she tried to run past, but the patrons began arguing with her about returning their change. My party was owed 14 dollars. The party behind us was owe 6 dollars. Another table was owed 20 dollars! Yes, she tried to keep the change as tip money! This tip situation is a major turn off. Don't steal people's money. Plus, the club also includes 20% gratitude on top of your bill! So yes you pay gratuity fees that are included in your bill. If you tip your waitress then you will be tipping 2 times. Patrons need to thoroughly read their receipts before paying!

I suggested to a date that we go to a comedy club and I think he found this one on Groupon and it was close to his house so off we went. We got there about 15 minutes before the show started and there was no one there. The bartender was watching tv. It felt weird. Slowly more people came in. We got seated right up front...so of course I expected to get "picked on" by the comedians. We were informed there was a two drink minimum per guest. So I had to order two drinks and so did my date. The first two drinks I requested, I was told they didn't have. Essentially you can order beer or the drinks on their drink menu...which are premixed. Each drink was about $10 and "ok". So my date probably spent around $50 for drinks. If you don't drink or don't want to spend $20 per person you might want to look elsewhere. The waitress was super sweet. Once seated there was probably about 20-30 people there on a Friday night. Jay Deep was the host and it was quite refreshing as I was a bit worried this was gonna go bad quick. He was very funny and poked fun at the fact there was only 17 people there. He did point jokes out to my date and I as "the only two white people there" however it was funny. After Jay Deep I was excited thinking man this place is great. However, as the night went on the comedians got worse. Some were funny and some made me feel downright uncomfortable. My date and I were consistently pointed out as the white people and at one point I looked over at my date and saw his arms crossed and could tell he was over it. So I dunno. I feel like if you are Jay Deep you could point us out as the white people and it's ok cause he is FUNNY but other comedians weren't and made us feel alienated from the audience rather than a part of it.

I had a great time at Riddles Comedy Club on May 24, 2018. All of the comedians were hilarious. I laughed so hard that I cried.

We had to silence our phones and make sure to buy 2 drinks each. We were a little late for the opener was performing. They sat us at the middle front table. I liked the way you light up the menu to get a waitress to come. We each had a tropical cocktail then a seltzer. Comedy was great. We were at the later show. At the end, we were talking to one of the comedians and the workers kept pushing us out which was a little rude. That's the reason for minus 1 star. Other than that we had a great experience.

There's been bad reviews in the past but he truly does not care about how he treats the people that spend money at his establishment. I wish I could leave a better review, but our experience at CG's was absolutely unacceptable. The manager/ owner Glen Martino completely mishandled a situation with my family while one of my family members was getting sick in the bathroom. Instead of showing concern for a guest's wellbeing, he assumed they were dining and dashing, yelling curse words and slurs in the process at my female family members. This lack of professionalism not only disrupted the show completely and then throwing the rest of us out even though they had our cards for the bill during this whole process. To make matters worse, the manager physically assaulted my brother during the commotion which stopped the show in front of the rest of the guests. This was supposed to be a fun family night out, but it turned into a nightmare because of the manager's (Glen Martino's) hot-headed and rude behavior. It's shocking that someone like this is allowed to run a business. I highly recommend avoiding CG's Comedy Club. Save your money and spend it somewhere that values and respects its guests. Glen Martino should be ashamed of his behavior, and honestly, he should be fired if he could be. This was hands down the worst experience we've ever had at any venue. 0 stars if possible would not recommend.

I think if they were a stand alone building, the parking would not be as awful. After you park, they have two lines going into the building. One is general admission and the other is VIP. General admission was on the left and VIP was on the right. They are not labeled. VIP just means that you sit closer to the stage. Seats are like first come first serve. Btw when it is busier, they have people sitting in front of you at each table. They fill each table to the max. In general, I would recommend lining up at least 30-40 mins before the show begins, for better seating. After you sit down, you have to order two items per person. We just ordered two drinks each. It's kind of an asinine rule but I guess that's how they make their money. We ordered food in the past. Ever since then, we just grab food nearby before coming. Food was okay here. The drinks are not bad, the glasses are a good size so you can sip on it throughout the show. Service was good, although it could be better. It took awhile to receive our drinks. Depending on the comedian, you can get a free picture or you have to pay for one. Overall, it's like a 3.5 experience but 5 stars for the comedian. Meh, I'll give it 4 stars.

Parking was in an issue the place is small their stairs but there's also an elevator which I like the fact that it is small because it's more intimate that way and the comedian can actually interact with the audience. We didn't really try the food but there is a two drink minimum or an order of food so we just did two drinks it's a bit pricey so just need to expect that. The service was great the our server was always there checking up on us and asking what we needed so that's also a good thing. Will definitely come back and see more shows here. Happy watching!

We arrived about 15 minutes before the show and walked up several flights of stairs to the venue. It was pretty empty when we got there and we were asked if we wanted the first or second row... we opted for a table further back. The drink menu is varied and there's a full bar so we got a couple of their specialty cocktails ($16), which were fine. As with any stand up show, the comedy varied and some sets hit better than others. They had several comedians do short sets and then did a late night talk show-style interview after for some of them.
