I visited with a group, and we all had a great time. I absolutely loved the green and gold color palette. The music was amazing, and the overall ambiance felt elevated, social, and lively. Everyone enjoyed their appetizer. I had the Bang Bang Shrimp, and it was great. I wasn't a fan of the margarita flight, but my friend really enjoyed hers, so I'd say that's more of a personal preference. Everyone's food presentation was beautiful. I ordered the jerk pasta, and while it was just okay, everything else looked incredible. The staff was pleasant, friendly, and attentive throughout our visit. We came for Fathers Day Brunch and it was a vibe. They had a live dj which really elevated the dining experience. I love the decor and colors of this restaurant and the food was delish. This was not my first time here and I notice they seem to change the menu a lot. The sweet potato bowl and salmon were our favorites. The staff is always nice and they had some fun cocktails that they recommended for us. Plenty of parking and they host different events throughout the year. Had reservations, had a small wait time. The place was pretty busy but they couldn't handle the crowd. It was Mother's Day and they stated the kitchen was backed up. The service was not good I guess due to it being so busy. The food was mid but I did like the lollipop lamb chops. The lavender lemon drops were also good. Hosted a brunch in their beautiful semi private room. Shaneka the owner, Brooke, and the host Jada were all simply wonderful throughout the planning process including the day of. Jada, our host was very attentive, asked questions, was visible throughout the entire time assisting and making sure everyone was taken care of. I especially appreciated that she ensured that the temperature of the room was comfortable as it became stuffy after a while and she adjusted the temp accordingly. She also ensured that everyone's alcoholic beverages were billed individually as I requested. The brunch menu was exactly what I had requested, delicious, hot and fresh and regular beverages were served timely as well. The tables were already set up with beautiful linen and silverware. We were even accommodated with an extra tables for sweets and gifts. The music was on point too. Thanks so much for making the process seamless!! Had a party of 10 for a birthday celebration. It took 30 minutes to get acknowledged after being seated, drinks came randomly one at a time over the next hour. Two hours later we got to order food. Which also came one plate at a time. So we did not get to eat together as a group, by the time the next plate came the other person was finished eating. Three orders were totally wrong and we did not want to continue to wait, so those three people did not eat, including the birthday girl. My line sisters and I celebrated our AKA Anniversary at Rhoyal Bistro. The space offers ample, free parking, which we all appreciated. The ambiance is fun and welcoming. We visited on a Sunday, so we were able to take advantage of the Sunday Gospel Brunch that didn't have the entertainment surcharge. I enjoyed the Catfish and Grits. The portion was HUGE, so I had a pretty substantial doggy bag to take home. We also ordered a Mimosa Tower, which lasted us through our entire reservation. Our server made sure to bring us about 4 juice options, so everyone was able to create the mimosa they liked. DJ Bamn was there and provided great entertainment. When the music got too loud, he graciously accommodated our group by turning the volume down and turning the speakers in a different direction. The owner came out to greet us and even took pictures with us. All in all, we had a great experience. Since we visited, I've recommended Rhoyal Bistro to several friends. Rhoyal Bistro LIVE for date night was a 10 out of 10. The decor is BEAUTIFUL. The 4 ladies completely transformed that space from when Dixie Kitchen was in that space. For appetizers- Rhoyal Tiger shrimp and Seafood cakes. Shrimp and that dipping sauce 10 out of 10. Seafood cakes 8 out of 10. Entrees-Fried Catfish paired with baked macaroni and cheese and cornbread. The fish had the right amount of crunch and moisture Grilled Lamb Chops that were cooked medium well had the right amount of flavor. Very moist, tender and succulent. The mashed potatoes were very buttery and fluffy. Cocktails not pictured: tequila sunrise and lemon drop with tequila both crafted perfectly. The Margarita Flight: This was a pleasant surprise. I liked that the flavors were bartenders choice so you had no expectations based on selecting own flavors. The best part of my entire experience was Nadia. The level of service she gave was outstanding. She was attentive, upbeat, fun, and friendly. Even after dropping dishes on her feet she continued working in pain with a smile and positive attitude. Such an impressive space; beautiful decor, lighting and seating. There is also a very nice aroma in the air from a unique diffuser. The live DJ was mixing some old school gospel. The energy was amazing and the vibe was soulful. There was so much to do while waiting for the food; so many pretty spots for photos, clapping and praising. Our server Mike had nine of us to please. He was the kindest most patient young man. Aiming to please was his goal. He took really good care of our table. Niki was also available to help; very professional and friendly. Drinks were delicious, as some of us had two. There was such a spread of food. Catfish and grits with a nice rich gravy. Waffles with bacon and the classic chicken and waffles. I found the service yet again lackluster unprofessional, and just overall poor. The food is decent however, but the service is ridiculous. My party waited at least 15 mins before the servicer acknowledged our presence at the table It was a slow Sunday afternoon so I was a bit confused about why the acknowledgment took so long. I requested two drinks that were made incorrectly, another member of my party didn't get her drink at all and was told at the end of the night that the bar didn't have the preferred beverage. While in town visiting family, my cousin suggested this place for all of us to eat. We ordered from the brunch menu. I ordered the Rhoyal Breakfast with chicken sausage. Food came with brown colored links that obviously were precooked and probably microwaved; scrambled eggs were room temperature as were the potatoes. I switched to bacon instead and they did oblige with bringing another bowl of "warmer" potatoes. My sister ordered cheese in her eggs but only the eggs showed up..where was the cheese? When asked where was the cheese, only then was she told they ran out of American cheese but did put cheese in it. No evidence of cheese and no apology for not telling us in advance. Other family had been there before but they even mentioned the last couple of visits were not up to par. For $25-30/per plate, I would have expected better. read more

Love that this place was founded by 4 black women. The food is incredible. The catfish and lollipop lamb chops are a must try. The service was great from start to finish from everyone. The live entertainment is top tier and DJ Bam was bringing hit after hit. Most definitely a vibe! Now unfortunately I am giving them four stars because there were a few unfavorable things to note. The server was great, but in traditional black establishment form, she named all the items they were out of upon greeting us. Not her fault. Black restaurants need to do better in this area. We always run out of food, which is a very bad look. The drinks took forever to arrive. They could've gotten 4 more rounds of drinks out of us had they not taken so long, but they only got 2. They also charge a $15 per person entertainment fee. Not saying it wasn't worth it. Again, the entertainment was phenomenal. The fee is just flat out tacky. Tactics like this stunt business growth. I would recommend reassessing pricing to incorporate it into operational costs. I bet that would even drive more business. The fee as it stands I'm sure drives away business. When they first opened the service was better than now. I have visited 4x when in town, Friday, Saturday and Sundays. The servers are slow with bringing the items ordered but try to push the drink menu harder than the food. The music is always great with the different bands. Some it the menu items are a bit on the high side but over all it's a good place to come with friends, date night or family. read more

Mid is the best I can give this restaurant. Saturday 5:30 reservations only a handful of tables. Staff was super friendly upon entry. Service was slow and we had to remind him several times of things he had forgotten. The restaurant was surprisingly empty. I ordered the calamari and I was not happy with it. It had more of the tentacles pieces then the o rings. I also ordered The Rhoyal Bistro Chicken and Shrimp Pasta spicy hot. The Shrimp were nice but that Chicken was not of a chicken breast or any part. The wait was UNBEARABLE! A singular Modelo beer was the final drink to be brought out and we had to ask for it. No apology, no urgency, just a plain "yes" and thereafter it came. After drinks we waited an additional hour and a half for food. My buzz disappeared, I nearly fell asleep at the table. Ten minutes before our food comes, our waitress brings out the toughest bread ever and plain salads to "hold us over". Throughout the night the sound of the live performance was so piercing, it was hard to enjoy (although the singers were amazing). When the bill finally came- we were charged ridiculously for a live performance that we never asked for! So on the bill we have the delayed drinks and meals, taxes, a performance fee, and gratuity. Awhile back, ive checked this establishment with a friend of mine during their soft launch. That was on their Gospel Brunch. We both had the shrimp and grits which at the time were salty. We did let one of the owners know since it was a soft launch. I'm not a fan of their fried green tomatoes. I felt like they didn't cook them long enough. The ambiance is really beautiful and happy to see the establishment is Black-Woman owned. However, the downside is the entertainment fee.
