This was an event I purchased as an adult-friendly evening, I do wish this was stated when signing up for classes or at least offer adult-only or all ages classes. It just wasn't the vibe I was going for that evening and frankly was pretty annoying. Although, the owner did try to play down the boy's presence and kindly answer his questions, etc - I probably wouldn't take another class there unfortunately. Petra and Andy take such pride in their shop and it shows! We started wandering (and salivating over) their small but impressive selection of sauces, oils, salts, and Italian goodies. They have samples of most of their items, so definitely ask when you're in! The class started with Petra giving a brief overview of the general recipe and then we got our hands dirty almost immediately kneading the dough. The dough got to rest for a bit while we got to sip on some beautiful red wine and Petra taught us how to make a puttanesca sauce. When we went back to knead some more, Andy had magically cleaned the stations and set us up for the next round! On our next rest break, Petra finished assembling the puttanesca with some pasta she made earlier that day and we got a healthy serving of fresh pasta and puttanesca, followed by a sample of some of the most amazing Panettone I have ever had. The care that Petra and Andy put into their work is evident, and their commitment to supporting organic, high quality foods is remarkable. Looking forward to many more classes here!

The classes are super small and intimate. The instructors really know their stuff - um, hi, Adobe certified. In the past month I have taken 2 sessions on subjects I knew very little about. How are people supposed to feel safe in this space when the owners can't even acknowledge the harm that's been done under their leadership? Josh's predatory behavior and Amber's enabling of it have created a toxic environment where trust has been shattered. The lack of transparency or responsibility makes it impossible to believe that this is a safe or supportive place to dance or learn.

I started pole back in mid January because I was trying to escape the winter depression and connect with my self. I can say that I truly think they've helped me get closer to that goal.
