The staff are all super friendly and always willing to help you before, during, and after classes. I tried my first spin class last night with Mackenzie and have never enjoyed working out as much as I did during her class. She incorporated toning and arm exercises into the routine which was different (loved it). Both the barre and spin classes are in dimly lit studios with neon lights and the BEST music. I've only ever been in classes with women so far which I also like, and even though I'm a newbie I've always felt welcome. This is just what downtown Haverhill was missing. I'm hooked!!

From the first moment I walked through the door into the studio in 2018, I was warmly welcomed and cared for - each barre instructor I've had the pleasure of working with has asked me if I had injuries and has diligently watched my posture to ensure I didn't aggravate existing, or create new issues. The classes are a wonderful mix of intense strength training using light weights, bands and balls, combined with yoga stretches and breathing. Each instructor is very knowledgeable and well-trained, caring and personality-plus. The physical studio is in a lovely spot downtown and is open, light and airy - a perfect spot to push yourself physically while remaining centered and calm. I only wish I could find something even a fraction this great in my winter home. I highly recommend Barre and Soul.

Doesn't surprise me since I have been trying to get a copy of a contract for three months. She has not retuned 5 or 6 e-mails. I was told by other people who had to deal with her in the past, nice person, not good in communication or business. The contract is minor compared to staying open during this time of a national crisis, but "doesn't apply to me" attitude fits the business plan of Pure Barre of Portsmouth.
