I've been coming to this studio consistently since last year, and it's one of my favorite places to ride! The studio is always clean, the instructors are friendly, energetic, and genuinely make every class fun. Having 90 minutes of validated parking is also a huge plus and makes getting to class so easy. The instructors do a great job of keeping everyone motivated. They celebrate your progress, keep track of your personal records, and even repost Instagram stories, which makes you feel recognized and part of the community. I'm on track to hit 100 classes this year, and that's a testament to how much I enjoy coming back. I've brought several friends to classes, and they've all had a great experience too. The workouts are challenging, the atmosphere is welcoming, and they're building an amazing community that keeps people coming back. Solid indoor cycling studio in the Arts District. I've been indoor cycling for about 6 years now, but this was my first time at Ride213. The instructor was fantastic. The studio is very clean. The bikes are on the older side. They work fine, but don't ride as smooth as bikes from other studios. The studio is also conveniently situated in a small plaza with a few restaurants and even a nail salon. There is also free 90-minute parking with validation, which is a nice perk. Don't go here! Workers have a stick up their a**. Have the biggest attitude ever. If you're new, they're not heartwarming. I'm an avid workout go-er and I've never seen this behavior before at a studio. Parking sucks too since the lot is small and barely any street parking. Workers have no grace for LA traffic nor understanding that they are in the arts district. Was really looking forward to their class too. Save your time, energy and money into a better establishment. I booked my first class through ClassPass. They are also offering $15 for your first class through the studio. They offer spin shoes for rent for $2, or you can bring your own. I have the SPD clips, and it work just fine. The studio is small, they have cubbies inside the actual room with the bikes so you can place your items there. I took Glenny as my instructor, he was very aggressive in his approach on pushing his class. He also went over the basis of the bikes which I like. (Resistance, saddle, third, second, etc) he also discussed form. Pros - parking is comp for the first 90 minutes. Parking may be an issue since it shares the lot with other businesses - Variety of instructors on schedule - Towels are complimentary Cons - the bathroom is located outside the studio, you need a key. read more

LOVE it here! Taj and Niel are my people! I've honestly been to a lot of different spin studios over the years - I find ride213 to be the most welcoming and not intimidating. All the instructors are really kind, and all have different styles so you can mix up your work outs. There is a parking lot, which can get a little busy. But this is usual with most all fitness studios in LA. So the key is to just arrive a bit early - it's no biggie. Also, they have a no late arrivals policy - which yes is a bummer. But also, when you're actually taking the class I'm thankful for. There's nothing worse than instructors having to be distracted by this. This is also pretty common for most work out classes, so just be mindful - especially if it's your first time to the studio or have never done spin and you need help setting up. They do have shoe rental, a water machine, and various beverages you can purchase. Honestly, love it here and so thankful to have a spin studio downtown! read more

This was my first-ever cycling class, and unfortunately, the experience turned me off from cycling. My instructor was yelling the entire time and was too intense. I arrived just on time for class, but parking took an additional 30 minutes due to limited lot parking and street parking. No where in their website had listed how bad the parking really is. I was stressed trying to find parking to make it in time and circled around the area multiple times. I had to run to make it to my class and on time and saw a few others walk in late too. Despite being a first-time rider, I was not given any safety instructions n on how to properly set up or use the bike. In fact, there were 3 workers and none of them asked me if it was my first time cycling and didn't show me how to do anything when they weren't doing anything else. The staff member at the front desk was not welcoming or helpful. I had to figure everything out on my own. During the ride, my right foot slipped mid-session because I wasn't properly instructed on clipping in. At the end of class, I was stuck on the bike because I didn't know how to unclip. In addition, the class did not start exactly on time either so he could have set the time to give me a rundown of the bike. My friends who were late were not allowed into the class primarily because of "safety concerns" (as you can see in the owner's fast replies in the other reviews), however they did not even give me any breakdowns. Unfortunately I don't have access to their security cameras so I can't prove my statements but I'm sure their response will be something defensive and gaslighting. I'm not sure why their MAIN and ONLY argument of not letting late people in is because of safety precautions when I was not even given that. At the end of the day, hospitality goes a lot further than being rude and lacking empathy. You don't build a successful business from profiting off of people's frustrations and negative experiences, especially when people are carving out their own time and money. read more

I get the whole late policy thing but it's so unfair especially when they know how bad their parking lot is and it being in the Arts district. The guy who met us at the door was not even understandable about our situation and was so rude about it. That is what turns me off, just the sheer lack of empathy. Hospitality is what makes people want to come back but that was not what we experienced. We made every effort to arrive on time, but some factors are simply outside of a guest's control. I live 10 minutes from the arts district but still left over an hour before class to account for traffic. The parking situation was an absolute joke. I was stuck in the parking lot for at least 10 minutes because of all the cars trying to leave or get in. Even the studio knows their parking situation is bad. It took over 30 minute to finally find street parking which was over 10 minutes away from the studio. My friend and I had to run over 10 minutes to get to class. I understand having policies in place, but being completely disregarded and treated with disrespect is another thing. Even though we ran there, we got shut down while a girl who came later than us was able to get in because she's a returnee. I understand that's their policy for returnees, but applying stricter timing rules to first-time customers doesn't create the most welcoming first impression. I'd rather not support an establishment that creates an anxiety induced environment of whether or not I can beat the la traffic and find parking. The lack of flexibility and empathy was disappointing. How can you expect customers to return when there is no hospitality.
