I've always been more of a solo gym nut and the thought of group classes made my innards curl partly in horror at the sound of cult-life, but going to Coreology for the first time unlocked a secret aspect of me that I never knew existed, and apparently I crave being screamed at in an encouraging tone while having the most hellish workout in my life (and I loved every second of it). Shout out to Trisha for being my first instructor ever of Pilates and making me feel like I had such a rewarding workout that I can't stop coming back for more. Alexa dining off. Sadly, I haven't been able to come back for more with her since my call schedule conflicts with her class times, but I also have had had an amazing time working out with Nicole. I will say that I can get lost a lot as a beginner to reformer pilates and sometimes it's hard to see the example or cue from afar, but overall the coreology sessions are incredible. For the sake of research before committing to one brand, I compared my first session of coreology to club pilates' intro session out of curiosity and was sad to say I didn't even break a sweat at club pilates, so I'm glad I found coreology first. read more

Came here for a class with a friend! I've been doing lagree for about two years (so not a pro), and wanted to try a new studio. The instructor was in training so this is not representative of all classes - fyi. The workout was a bit clunky at times in terms of cuing and I wish there were shoutout for more modifications (advancements vs regressions), but overall challenging with good breaks. The music was definitely energizing, the space was spacious and bright. There are two private changing areas, cubbies, water dispenser and a k cup machine for complimentary coffee, which is a nice touch! Also, huge perk that there's free two hour parking at ROWDTLA! All in all a great and challenging workout- only comment is for the cuing and mods. :) read more

If you're looking for a studio with a challenging workout, easy parking, and caring instructors this is it! Everything from the instruction, the location, and the equipment reflects that the team here really cares about providing the best quality possible at an accessible price point. The workout combines cardio pushes, strength training, and emphasis on form. The end result is a well rounded full body workout. I love that they don't just emphasize the lower body but work out the upper body as well. There's also a lite version that is slower and emphasizes mobility, stretching, and breath. My only complaint is that I wish they offered this class on the weekends. I really like that class but the class times are a little inconvenient for me. For the instructors, I can't say enough good things about them. They are super patient and invested in giving you the best workout at your level. They really create a welcoming environment here by checking in and empowering you throughout the workout. Each instructor has their own style and playlist so it never gets repetitive. The studio itself is clean,spacious, and conveniently located. Parking is free and easy. The reformers are appropriately spaced out. The handle bars have removable liners for easy cleaning. They offer plenty of wipes after class for cleaning. There are complimentary towels and other small touches to make sure you're comfortable in your workout. There's also a huge mirror in the front to help you with form. Lastly, this class is hard but doable. Plan to arrive a little earlier to stretch. Bring plenty of water to hydrate because you will sweat in class! However after you're done, you'll feel very empowered and accomplished. read more

Coreology is the best. Class sizes vary depending on the day and time but never more than 10 students. The instructors help to adjust form if needed and the instructions are clear. Each exercise has different levels so it's beginner friendly. after doing a year long membership, i have a good idea of this place. they have multiple locations mostly on the westside. the dtla location is the stepchild or maybe the tax write off. the good is that most of the instructors are good. only a few aren't. free parking. free hand towels most of the time - sometimes they run out and don't restock. the bad is um, a lot. no sunday classes. they randomly and regcancel classes if an instructor can't make it. for example, my regular thursday 7:15pm class was cancelled last week. i've been to two classes where the instructor just didn't show up. all they did was give a pass for one class and nothing to make up for the inconvenience of traveling to a cancelled class and waiting around for the instructor to show up. one instructor kept looking at her texts during the entire class. a few are terrible at calling out transitions. but again, most of the instructors are good. the main problem is the management. no water fountain. no showers. not worth a membership. can't work out and go to work unless you wanna be sweaty all day. read more

Obsessssssssed! Between Nicole and Brett (two main instructors of this location) I promise they will torture muscles you didn't know you had, make you sweat in places you've never sweat before, and most importantly provide all the endorphins you need to want to come back again. There are both morning and evening classes. Highly recommend making reservations as there are only 10 reformers. The location does not always fill up but some of the class times tend to get fuller than other. There are a lot of USC students that come to the location and there is a student package deal that is offered for them as an incentive. For those that are not a student, you can expect $30/class or package deals. All can be purchased through the website but note that the DTLA location runs on a bit of a different system that the other locations. I had some issues with the initial sign up the staff and customer support were great at helping me fix my issues and get me on track. I work in The Row so I love the location but those that want to take advantage of this location, the parking structure provides free parking for your first two hours read more

This is a long overdue review...I discovered Coreology during the pandemic at a time when I hadn't been exercising regularly, and felt isolated/disconnected. I had always been intrigued by the notion of Pilates or Pilates-inspired workouts for their ability to address mobility in addition to strength. I started with a few private sessions to get acclimated, and three years later I do the annual unlimited membership and come to classes 4 to 5 times per week. It has been truly life changing for me physically and mentally. And while it never stops being hard, it's the first exercise I've ever found that I actually crave--it's literally addictive. And there are endless exercises and variations on the Xformer so it never gets boring. The studio at ROW DTLA is clean and chic, with awesome equipment, and top notch teachers. I mainly have Corina, Nicole and Taylor, and all three are amazing, committed, caring, and really know their stuff. But it's clear even the new teachers coming in are given legit training and there is a noticeable high standard here. I couldn't imagine my life without this and am so grateful for it. I've been here twice now via ClassPass and they offer a very challenging, slow-burn to muscle failure sort of resistance workout. The focus is core, but they manage to squeeze in a pretty comprehensive, low-impact, full-body routine. It's tough, and I leave feeling spent but incredibly accomplished. Also, I really appreciate the mini stretching session at the end of class. The studio has changing rooms and towels. The coaches are very friendly and offer motivation as well as form corrections. It's a great addition to my workout routine and has easily become a favorite! read more

I initially tried Coreology on ClassPass and found the routine very disjointed but when The Row was running a two week free pass I decided to try it again. I took about 10 classes over the past two weeks and tried a variety of teachers so I have a good assessment of the studio. Pros: - Easy and free parking! They validate which giving you two free hours and enough time to grab a coffee after class - Location, The Row is still developing but lots of great shops and restaurants in the shopping area Cons: - The instructors do not write their own routines thus every single routine felt the same to me. Every class we did saw at the back of machine, then the front, three days in a row we did the same arm exercise. The x-formers are unique machines so it felt very lazy to be repeat several exercises every class -It seems like management also sets the music, all the playlists were very similar (slow songs, limited lyrics, with tech beats over it). It was painful to listen to for 50 minute classes - Most of the instructors didn't introduce themselves by name at beginning of class Overall the lack of individuality from the instructors was disappointing, half the reason you regularly attend a class is for the instructor/music and I feel like we don't get to see any of their personalities' at Coreology. In addition, I didn't find the workouts as challenging as other reformer studios in LA. read more

I took classes here before pandemic with Laura, she was the simply the best! Her classes were fun, challenging and her energy made you want to push yourself even more. I recently took class here for the first after pandemic, apparently this location only have 1 instructor during weekdays. I decided to give it a try if it's good, I was going to invest in monthly membership. My experience that day was horrible, the instructor was very cold, not saying hello or anything, I didn't even know she was the instructor. Normal work out instructors would wear work out gear to show you poses and look professional, this instructor wear a hoodie and a slide and the whole time she didn't show any good energy. When she correct my form a few time, she was very rude and rough about it. I ended up having bruises on my knees and arms the next day. Such a bad experience, will not return read more

Beautiful, new studio with nice, modern machines, natural light and kick-ass instructors. Parking is validated in the structure and super easy compared to nightmare DTLA studios. I rarely sweat in Pilates classes, but I definitely come out damp from the classes here. The instructors are very good about coming around and giving you individual attention and correcting form -- even for veterans of Pilates. They are perfectionists in the good sense and make sure you get the most out of each workout. They aren't on Classpass yet, but the instructors said they would be soon -- can't wait!! read more

Coreology is one of the only studios that I actually bought a class pack for (rather than just use classpass credits) cause it is that good! I can not recommend this place enough. Every instructor is great and knows what they're doing. They have towels, bathrooms and changing stations but no showers. They validate for 2 hours of parking for the Row parking lot. read more
