At first, we tried walking everywhere. When we noticed these bike stations EVERYWHERE we went, we realized we had found an easier way! We biked from 12 South to Music Row, from Broadway to the Gulch, from the farmers market to... well, really everywhere! Had a great experience. The app is easy to use, the bikes were in good condition, and the price was unbeatable. I purchased one of the packages, even though we only had 48 hours to use it. When you check out a bike, you have 60 minutes to check it back in before the cost starts accumulating to be above the initial $5 or $10 you paid for the 24 or 72 hours. 60 minutes is a LONG time, and I found that we always had it check back in within about 30 minutes. The only real con was that the bikes couldn't be checked out after 10pm. When you're heading back to your hotel from broadway, all you want is a bike instead of walking. Pro tip: there are some great bike trails near the farmers market that lead you back to downtown so you don't have to take the roads. Shout out to Eric who helped us when my account accidentally locked us out! Love the customer service.

I took a quick look at the info and saw that I could rent the bike for only five dollars -- winning! They had extended time options and memberships too, but I only needed a bike for the day. Before I could finish explaining why I was calling, I was abruptly told they had customers that were actually paying for something and the call was ended. A simple "we're not able to help at this time" would have been completely understandable and appreciated. Professionalism and courtesy go a long way, regardless of whether a business chooses to support a charitable cause. Unfortunately, this interaction left a very negative impression.

Since it only took a few minutes, they didn't even charge me for the work (although I did end up buying some stuff while I was there). I have also spoken to the owner a couple of times prior to this when I wandered into the shop while in the area for other things, and he was always helpful and willing to answer questions even though I clearly wasn't the normal type of client for a shop like this (aka, I don't know anything about bikes). Jay, Timothy and the entire staff come across as enthusiasts who are also committed professionals. I rode several bikes when I was there and got an idea what to consider. I didn't feel any pressure to buy on the spot, and Jay cheerfully answered any questions I had as I was doing my research. After the purchase, I had a minor problem with one of the tubeless tires I had requested. Jay and the team jumped right on it, addressed the issue, and also talked me through what was going on and how it all works. I really appreciate that approach - I want to know all I can about my bike, and they are happy to educate me. Randomly searched the internet and found this bike rental company run by Steve. He operates like a food-truck and is set up in a big parking lot by Two Rivers Park trailhead (in rear of the Wave Country water park). An easy UBER from town. I texted him ahead to ensure he was there and he had 4 e- pedal assist bikes waiting for us that were all to size. He gave us a great route for a 2 hour ride- it was very hot and he provided water and recommended a route that kept us in the shade. We explored the old airstrip and biked to the nature center and walked around there. Steve is a musician- he plays drums and guitar and is very knowledgeable about music as well as bikes. The cost of $45 per person was super reasonable. The bikes were great and the trail is super easy to navigate and mostly flat- the assist was very helpful in one hill and it was nice to have on a hot day. Highly recommend!
