The drivers have no way of communicating each other (there were five of us, one Wheelchair user per Van) My van was flashing overdue service, and low fluid lights. My driver did not have a cell phone, barely spoke English, wouldn't follow my directions and so coming back took 20 minutes longer than it should have. Because they were rushed because we were late. They didn't tie down my wheelchair properly and they bounced all the way. Because my driver didn't speak English he didn't understand me when I asked him to stop to fix it or he didn't care I'm not sure which. I'm stuck with these guys going back to the airport because my group is already paid for it,

I was desperately trying to find a company who would come with an electric wheelchair to get me up and down my stairs. Health Companion was the only company I could find who was able to assist me. I spoke with VAL who was very kind and understanding and I made an appointment with him to come in my home and take me down my outdoor stairs so I could go to my doctors appointment. He was on time, professional and he told me not to be scared. This electric wheelchair he has that has rubber tracks that took me down seven flights in about 10 seconds with no bumps. After my doctors appointment, I called him back up and VAL came back to my house and brought me back up the stairs with no issues. VAL has really helped my recovery because I'm not stressing about how I'm going to get in and out of my home. Do yourself a favor and give this company a call. They can help you with all your needs. My 87 year old father had knee replacement surgery at Broward Health North yesterday. He was…read moreinitially told that he was going to be able to go home the same day and the surgery was performed in the outpatient department. When it came time to go home the PT doc decided to keep him over night. Ultimately it was decided he needed to go to a PT facility for rehab and transportation to John Knox at 6:45 PM. At 8:00 PM nobody had arrived and my father, under heavy medication had become extremely agitated (very out of character). He is now at John Knox and they are great. Does not seem like AMR cares at all, in fact they threatened not to take him.
