I played the laser tag game with my brother and sister it was just us 3 for our first game and we had a blast the worker was kind and helpful and was a great host for our games we got to play free for all, team deathmatch, and gun game (those who play call of duty will know gun game) with unlimited lives we were about to walk away and go inside to play the arcade games but then a large group of family and friends all showed up and we decided to play with them in total we had about 20 people all playing at the same time the host even let us choose the different weapons that are available the younger kids wanted rocket launchers and Gatling guns. We had an absolute blast the guns are very accurate and you could shoot at a persons gun or their headband and you could shoot them with perfect accuracy from about 600ft away!! Definitely the best laser tag experience I have ever had and I always try them out at any given chance. They had a great laser tag area that reminds me of a paintball setup lots of barriers some cars and the vibe was post apocalyptic. If you like paintball, laser tag, shooting video games, or shooting in general this place is a must for you please I recommend anyone that just is looking to have a good day to come and enjoy the experience of this place. Yes I mean Complex. The Golf courses are expansive, and truly continue to expand. The hotel I'm not sure has a rating, but would likely be THE ONLY 5 Star accommodation in all of the State of Wisconsin. Facts, look it up. The Food is great, and everything is clean, especially the rooms. You will not find anything like this for hundreds and hundreds of miles. Perhaps that's the charm. They also have homes (very few) that I understand sell for 1 to 2.5M... insane considering the values in this area. A must visit place when touring the Midwest.

The golf courses are fabulous and, for lack of a better word, big. Sand Valley is the signature and is challenging, Mammoth is a bit more kind to an average golfer. The Commons is a twelve hole course and probably the easiest of the group; Sedge Valley is a par 68, also pretty forgiving. There's also 17 holes of par 3 (mostly chip/putt) that is there for fun; many folks play in bare feet. Lido is the one that most normal people can't get on...rumored to be, like Sand Valley, a real challenge. The golf is terrific. The client service -- everywhere we turned --- was also outstanding, from caddies, to starters, to rangers, to servers...clearly a client service culture. The are on-course food/bev "gimmicks" -- one dollar brats, one dollar Italian beefs, etc. The ice cream sandwich is celebrated (ad made in Iowa!). The drinks are very reasonably priced; water is complimentary. Unimpressed by the food and bev at the restaurants -- pretty predictable fare; I'd have hoped there would be some form of fine or at least finER dining available. Only so many burgers and chicken sandwiches and cheese curds and chicken wings one can have. Also had a DREADFUL service challenge at their pizza place at the Sedge Valley course -- took forever to get our apps and entrees...two of us ended up not even eating ours because we were out of time. Two points of bone disappointment. The first --- temporary -- is that the practice facility is massively too small for this size and quality of resort. I gather that's being addressed and that a new, large facility should open soon. The second came when our group went to shower after 18 holes in sweltering heat. The locker room and showers at the main lodge are embarrassingly small, not well kept up, and otherwise unworthy of a facility of this caliber and price point. Several hundred dollars for a round was ok --- but I'd have hoped for something a lot better than what was basically a YMCA gym for a place to clean up.

The Rome/Nekoosa area just 40 miles North of the Dells is getting worldwide acclaim as a golf destination. Even the local airport has had to lengthen runways and increase fuel storage to accommodate the increasing number of private jets flying in. Sand Valley is the biggest draw with currently 5 courses on site and ever expanding. If you have a few million dollars casually lying around there are homesites available at Sand Valley. There is also Northern Bay, The Ridges, Bullseye and more within a short ride. When visiting and playing the courses be kind to your fellow golfers and follow the rules of the course you're playing on. Some may require replacing the divot you hit out that may have traveled further than your golf ball, others require not replacing the divot but sprinkling the provided grass seed into the newly minted divot. One final tip, please use the provided restrooms located on the courses. Some of us live on the courses and don't enjoy the view of golfers walking into the woods, relieving themselves and ultimately showing off their shortcomings.

We received lots of compliments on the food: Lasagna and Chicken piccata. Despite being an hour away, the lasagna was piping hot, gooey, and plenty cheesy. I think the recipe on the chicken got tweaked a little bit between the tasting and the event...but certainly not in any bad way. I gorged myself on the leftovers the following several days. Overall, it was a Solid experience and everything went smooth. Honestly, when it comes down to all the planning of the wedding--that's a dream come true. Pro Tip: Pay on time or you'll get (professionally) worded messages to pony-up. Plus it's common courtesy. If you need to spread your payments out to make it on time, they will definitely work with you on a payment plan. It's a huge expense... but our price (compared to other contracts we solicited) was pretty good. Pro Tip #2: The more you plan and communicate, the more they can make sure things go your way. The equipment is newer, better connected, and better organized than most YMCAs -- indeed, most fitness centers. This Y has two pools and hosts its own swim team.
