We golfed here and enjoyed it. It is known for its replica holes. I can't say I've golfed at all of the famous courses to know how realistic the layout of the holes were, but from watching golf, I thought the TPC Sawgrass #17 and Augusta National #16 were very well done! The forward tees were 5200 yards which is long and it felt like it. Hard for me to get on the green in regulation. The course was in good shape. Tee boxes and greens were nice. Our foursome played in about 4 hours which was a good pace. Carts had GPS for yardage. Staff was friendly. Great experience. read more

Stayed a couple nights here over the summer in a condo for a little weekend golf. The good: Nice clubhouse bar, decent beer selection, folks working the clubouse were helpful and polite. Was able to get drinks and refills with not too much of a wait. Buffalo Wings were solid. The clubouse had a very good patio, was cool to relax out there after our round with a bourbon. Condo was nice and clean, few amenities, balconies that back up to the fairways. The replica holes were a fun challenge. There was a very nice lady who cleaned our clubs while my group finished the 18th hole. The not so good: For what you're paying for on this course, I expect a little more. Half of the ball washers were empty, none at all had towels. Water coolers on the course were entirely empty on a hot day. Greens were not very well kept, all kinds of chunks taken out of them. Beverage cart was few and far between. One of the guys who worked there had some pace-of-play comments to make to us, even though we were keeping up with and pushing the group in front of us. Overall, had a good time but at those rates, hope you make it a little more worth our while. read more

This course (and greenskeeper) needs a wake-up call (as well as recent reviews). Fairways were as hard as the parking lot and have been the past 3 years now. Was thinking they can't stay this bad. Never again. The green fee is quite high compared to other local, much, much better conditioned courses. Stay away until they blow up the fairways and redo them. And 7 holes is not a replica course, it is more of a gimmick. read more

My wife and I have never played a course with replica holes before and this one offered us some unique challenges to be sure. The course was in good condition and the entire staff that we encountered were very courteous and professional for sure. This location is truly a destination location out in the middle of nowhere. We've both stayed in a deluxe condo and golfed here and both were superb. If you can rent a condo, you won't be dissapointed as they are well maintained and most have premium kitchens and huge rooms. Our condo was on the 1st hole of the golf course, yes occasionally a golf ball would come careening off of our patio doors but it was still beautiful. The course itself was immaculate and it wasn't very busy. I had never played a replica course before so was really surprised by the designs of the holes and how well i played! The gps carts were great, we even ordered our lunch from the cart to have at the 9th hole. I've never used the marina other than to drive through to see what it's like but there's plenty of dock space for visitors who want to go up to the bar. We've been to the restaurant several times and it's always a good bet for friday night fish fry. Plus great views of the golf course. If you're staying with kids, there's a nice pool and play area with sand volleyball, basketball and tennis. There's also a beautiful sand beach on the lake and the lake is humongous, great for tubing and skiing! read more

This is a replica course that falls second only to WIld rock. This is a 18 hole course with either 6 or 7 replica holes from courses such as Augusta National, TPC Sawgrass, Oakmont, and Bay Hill Club. The grounds are outstanding and the GPS enabled carts are a great addition. Well worth the money. read more

Awesome condos. Clean, located on Castle Rock Lake, fabulous and unique golf course. The Island View restaurant has the best Friday fish fry, great Brandy Old Fashioneds, and their Italian Beef Sandwiches are delish! Always a great time! read more

Rating this golf course only. Greens are nice, but the fairways and rough are not anywhere near the quality of a course that is over charging for green fees. Weekdays $85, weekend $100 for 18 and a cart. The replica holes are fun, and it has a very nice layout, but I have golfed on better fairways and rough for $39. It's nice for a one time experience on the replica holes, but definitely NOT worth the way over- priced green fees they are charging. (Bar prices are higher than normal). read more

This place is not ideally located to stay. It's 20 minutes to a small town called Friendship that has minimal resources but it got us by. Myself and eight other girls came up here for a a girls trip. The condo is very clean. However, we had to inform the person we rented from how many people were staying here but yet somehow ended up shorted on bath towels which really sucks. Luckily, we had beach towels and used those. There were only two chairs outside on the patio which was a downfall again for nine people staying in one place. We also had a shortage of beds. There was room for air mattresses but don't advertise the place sleeps nine if it doesn't. Three of our nine girls were sleeping on air mattresses and everyone else had to double up on beds. Overall it's not really a place is ever choose to stay again. The Dells were our only source of entertainment and that's not much to write home about. read more

This course was in great shape except for a little wet area on 18. My sons and I would definitely play this course again. The services were excellent- pro shop staff, bag guys, and beverage cart. We were a little skeptical based on a few negative reviews. There were no ant hills on any green. The greens were in very good shape. Fairways were well manicured. Carts and GPS worked great. Pace of play was very good. Nice driving range which is free and practice greens. The replica holes were nice and worth the price of green fees. Certainly a lot less expensive than traveling to each of those courses. If you are in the Dells area, this course should be on your top 5 list. read more

Very sad this place has beautiful golf course . But the customer service is bad. Just because I dont look rich does not mean I wont tip you. $5 for one beer is just crazy. I tipped the bag guy more than I would ever tip the snotty girls at the bar. read more

Golfed this course two times once in 2012 and this past week. Around the greens the course is in good shape consistent with the $90.00 price tag and the 7 replica holes are impressive. For the price I'd rather go to nearby Trappers Turn or the course at The Wilderness resort. The fairways outside of 50 yards from the green were revealing too much bare ground and appeared to be cut crab grass, not typical of a Wisconsin course that you are looking to spend near 100 to play, but if your looking for plenty of roll it may suit you. The clubhouse/bar is aesthetically pleasing however the service is subpar at best. Worth a look but there are better courses for the price. Carts have rangefinder and free range balls come w/ the round. read more

The resort is beautiful and we got the 2 bedroom condo and it is gorgeous. It is huge and the kitchen is amazing. The room itself is awesome. I guess the only down side is the pool area. For such a big resort the pool is small. They say you have to wear your wrist band to go in the pool area. But no one has them on and no one from the stafd checks. So random people can be in the pool area. Also not a whole bunch for kids to do. If the pool area was bigger it would be nice or add abother pool on the property. The only other werid thing was for a 2 bedroom condo that sleep 8 people they only give you one bath towel in each bathroom. That is super werid so bring towels. read more

We rented a condo for the weekend. So far the condo has been nice, however the restaurant was horrible. After we sat down we waited 30 minutes to get our drinks. We had three kids with us. We ordered their food before everyone else, waited another 50 minutes for their food, and only got 2 out of the 3 kids meals. We asked for a manager multiple times, and there was an excuse every time. They blamed everything on their new computer system. It took 2 hours to get our good abs we asked to get it in a to go box since we had waited so long. Horrible awful service, will not go back there. read more
