Kim is an excellent office manager to handle your Initial conversation and paperwork. She showed great patience with me and my doctors office. Thanks Kim. Health matters demand clarity and the first question Connie asked me is ,"Tell me why you're here today?" I shared the why and then she walked me through the doctors report for clarity. Clarity is king. The approach is conversational and like the sitcom "Cheers", everyone on staff knows your name. They hire a great group of younger people and they are good students, workers and treat everyone respectfully. The offices, Coachline and Ina Rd are well maintained and clean. Both Connie and Jerry provided me knowledge to build my core strength, stay loose and a plan to keep my back healthy. Connie meticulously wrote every exercise down for me and I use the sheet daily for the proper reps. Very nice touch! After twelve sessions I can honestly say that the physical therapy works. I was working in the back yard today, and I suddenly felt this electric stabbing pain on both sides…read moreof my lower back (SI joints). I crumbled...and thought...well this isn't good. I tried to pop things in place by laying in the porch and throwing my left leg over as I was on my back. No go. I called Shipley, thinking I would get in maybe tomorrow or Monday. They got me in TODAY at 1630...and hour after I called. I was picking up leaves after using a blower....and apparently the dustpan and the tremendous weight of the.....leaves...was too much. lol. Doctor Sheffer said it was not the leaves, but it has been a while since I have been in, so it was just waiting, and bending over did it!? Electrical stimulation and an adjustment and I can sort of move with medium pain. I am STILL a hurting unit, but much less than before the adjustment. I have another adjustment in the morning. My favorite chiropractor (Dr. Kevin Jenkins) left The Joint, so I kinda, sorta, (totally) stalked…read morehim. He is a great chiropractor and I always feel better after seeing him. I wasn't familiar with Casabona Chiropractic but started reviewing their website. I was surprised and happy to see that they specialize in Scoliosis, which is the curvature of the spine. I have dealt with this illness since I was a teenager. In my adult life, no doctor has ever addressed my Scoliosis or even asked about it. It is quite noticeable. I felt like it was too late and I would just have to deal with it. We are now working on my situation and I have totally grown to trust Dr. Casabona and his staff. The other doctors are helpful and the office staff are wonderful. You can see that they operate as a team. Dr. Casabona wants to educate patients on how and why chiropractic works and what we can do to help ourselves too. He is a hand on doctor, no pun intended. Ha! I used to be a naysayer about chiropractic processes, but found that it really helps me, and hopefully you too.

They are a procedure mill! All they are interested in is how many injections they can give you…read more They have insisted on giving me injections about every 4 months or so. They finally started giving me medication about 2 years ago, one of which actually worked, but stopped working after 9 months. Then they gave me an additional medication on top of the 1st one. The 2 together does blunt the pain a bit, but it's still around a 7 on the pain scale. Today I tried to refill one of my pills, but the pharmacy said I had to wait another day! As of tonight, I am out. I have 2 appointments tomorrow morning and I won't be able to go to the pharmacy until tomorrow mid afternoon! 2 pills I will miss because Dr Yang wouldn't let me have my pills on day 29. She doesn't care about my pain! I will avoid her in the future, and I suggest that others do too.

I went in for back pain and they recommended Kyphoplasty surgery which was scheduled for nine days…read morelater. They have 7 offices and one phone number for accessing all of them. It took most of the next day calling and leaving messages to try to get something for the pain. Never got to speak to a doctor, but was prescribed some Tramadol which barely helped. The day of the procedure, Dr Yang was late, gave me a five minute explanation of what was next and afterwards stood in the doorway of the recovery room and said it went well. Apparently, it didn't go well and the pain continued. Spent the next day in agony trying to reach someone there for help. One one thier Lackeys finally called back and said Dr Yang wanted some X-Rays and prescribed a pain pill called Journavx​ which my pharmacy doesn't carry. I called Pima Pain Center and was told that I would have to find it on my own. On the day the stitches were removed I asked Dr Shiller what was next and was told that was all they could do and good luck. So, if your goal is to visit a Medical Industrial Complex with horrible communication and one phone number, this is the place for you. Personally, I'm now going to Barrow Brain and Spine to see if they can actually help me.

After my spinal fusion I was nervous to see a chiropractor, but I knew I really needed it and I'm so glad I went to Back Alley! * In the first visit, Dr. Don takes you to a separate private room to discuss your issues and needs without other clients overhearing. As a woman, I tend to be nervous to be alone in rooms with men I don't know, but Dr. Don was SO professional, and he left the door open as if he sensed my nervousness. He really hears you out and doesn't rush you - a rarity in the medical world * He works FAST and tells you what he's doing before/while he does it. He even tells you WHY he's doing what he's doing, which is cool for anyone interested in physiology. * Dr. Don chats with you and actually remembers the things you tell him. You can tell he's invested in his patients' lives and knows them well. * The place is clean and the receptionists are friendly. I thought the set-up was a little wonky at first, since it's one big open room with the chiropractic tables and I'm used to being in private rooms. I actually like and prefer this set-up. Something about it feels friendly. * Wait time is never too long, and you get in and out fairly quickly, even without an appointment.

Not to mention, his bedside manner is so friendly. If I don't come in for months on end, he still remembers me in a very personable way. He is so sweet and so is the co-owner/doctor... (Dr. Shipley) who is also amazing. Once I was walking and I slipped off the curb. The next day my back was totally out to where I could barely walk. Dr. Don was on vacation, so Dr. Shipley saw me and did something I never had done before. The result: I was totally fixed. So to sum up, both of these guys would be a good choice if you're needing some adjustment. Finally, one last note, they did move their office from near Costco on the north side of town, to the Oro Valley location. Since they moved in there, they do have an adjustment and that is shared with about eight other people. At first I didn't care for this, but since they are the only two in town that can get me back on track and in shape, I have adjusted to it :-).
