I started going to Desert Palms PT on Rancho Vistoso in Oro Valley in very late December of 2022. I was recovering from many broken vertebrae scattered from my shoulder blades into my lower back. I needed help with getting more reliable mobility, balance and endurance. Getting scheduled for appointments is nicely handled by their front desk crew (shout out to Melanie who has worked wonders for me.) My main therapist is Brandon Blauser. He is very well trained and has great credentials. He utilizes other therapists to supervise me from time to time for brief intervals while he aids others, but this is the most efficient use of his time. All of the staff listen well to their clients and supervise them closely. They often check on how I am doing, so being honest with them is very important. I have never heard them use a bad tone of voice or ineffective method of motivation. They are very gentle souls who do their best to get their patients/clients to improve by their own efforts under their DPPT clinicians guidance. Having had some other, less positive, experiences in an assisted care rehabilitation facility, I know how scarce good PT can be to find. I had a hip replacement and a total of 16 PT visits after the surgery. Michael , Olin, and Brittany guided me through my recovery. The front desk staff was detail-oriented and scheduled my visits with ease. They kindly handled all necessary administrative requirements for my insurance approvals. During my physical therapy, I never felt pushed to do any exercise. I wanted to get better. They are professionals, and know which exercises and stretches will give you back your mobility. The overall vibe throughout the studio is positive and encouraging. I trusted the process, and worked my home-assigned exercises (and will continue). I think that the Physical Therapist I was assigned to, Michael, is truly a good listener, and creates and adjusts a plan for your recovery. He is a true healer who has a lot of experience which translates to an innate knowledge about what each individual needs! read more

I am usually quite doubtful about PT and I have never experienced Acupuncture but, I have been going to Desert Palms for approx 4 weeks and now I am a believer. I started off interacting with Adriana the front desk gal and she is great and very friendly and customer-oriented. I see Angel as my Therapist and I really think she is GREAT. I am at ease and quite comfortable with her. I am so glad I gave it a shot and I would highly recommend this location. I am glad I ended up with Angel and she is someone that Desert Palms should be thankful to have as an employee and I might add Adriana too. I have had wonderful care at Desert Palms! The staff is attentive, welcoming, and accommodating. My PT therapist, 'A' is the BOMB!!!! She is a Doctor of PT and shares her knowledge in a way that I can understand. A also varies exercises every session, gives me homework that I can do, and does her job with a genuine smile on her face and pep in her step! I go here for the Pilates class they have on Mondays, Wednesday's, and Saturdays. I've only been going for about a week and I already love it. The instructor is very kind and helpful. This class is great if you're looking to strengthen your core. It can be for beginners (there are a lot of modification options), as well as experts. This class relaxes you as well as gives you a workout. It's a great mix between yoga and strength training. read more

I was sent to physical therapy with Carolyn and her whole team at Desert Palms. It was my first experience with PT after a stem cell injection into my hip for moderate arthritis. Carolyn has educated me, and really listens to my specific challenges and actively works with me for solutions. I've learned a lot and improved immensely. Terrific experience! The staff is great. Sometimes other therapists would jump in and help, which made it interactive therapy. I've had therapy in 3 other locations for other issues, and this was the best. I was lucky to have thoughtful, helpful and knowledgeable Brandon as my therapist, but it seems they are all very good.
