I was actually able to drop it off a few minutes before my 8am appointment and was surprised to hear it would ready in 2 hrs. I decided to hang around the neighborhood and found there are quite a few nice eating spots a short walk away. I normally try to give business to the Auto shops that advertise in my local church newsletter but to my disappoiment they always seem to be the most expensive and require me to drop off early an pick up late. I was actually trying to make an appointment with one of the advertisers, for this work, but they couldnt even bother replying to me. Their loss was a win-win for me. There were other issues, but those were the main ones that I came here to get fixed. Richie was super nice and made me feel comfortable leaving my car to get serviced. I have had my car serviced by other mechanics, who temporarily fixed the problem or didn't fix it at all (the includes MINI of Manhattan). David was one of the guys who worked on my car and when I didn't understand a service, he took the time to explain why it was needed. I ended up paying mostly for the parts, because MINI is owned by BMW and their parts are expensive. The amount I paid for the work they did was more than reasonable and my car runs like its brand new. They even finished it a day early and had it washed and clean when I came to pick it up. I expected I'd need a new windshield. At G&R, they easily could have sold me one--but instead, Rosie at the front office said, "No, don't do that. Let's see if we can get it off." They removed it completely. Even better, they cleaned the entire car and didn't charge me for it. Honest, skilled, and genuinely kind people.
