I came in with overspray on my windshield after someone nearby was spraying silicone on their car. Tiny droplets drifted onto my glass, and no product I tried would remove it. I expected I'd need a new windshield. At G&R, they easily could have sold me one--but instead, Rosie at the front office said, "No, don't do that. Let's see if we can get it off." They removed it completely. Even better, they cleaned the entire car and didn't charge me for it. Honest, skilled, and genuinely kind people. After shopping around I found this place and met Rosie who is very patient explaining what needs to be done, and the price worked for my budget, and the results were done as explained before. The first time I came to this place it was to fix my trunk. I had reversed into a construction vehicle that had a protruding mechanism which wasn't visible through my rear view camera nor the rear window. I called so many places and they all said I needed a new trunk and to not waste their time. I called this establishment and Rosie answers the phone. She was very nice and polite. She listened to my situation and asked to send pictures. As soon as she saw the damage, she said she could take care of it for me no problem. Even though everyone else said it can't be done, I took a risk. I brought my car over and in a few days my trunk literally looked brand new. I came to them a second time to fix the rest of my car which had quarter panel and rear bumper damage. Once again, they delivered beyond belief. Guys, Rosie is the real deal and she knows what she's doing. Her team is very talented and provide clean work. Also, they clean your car inside and out as well as wax the exterior for you at end. You have to experience this shop to believe it. G & R stands head and shoulders above a swamp of shady and disreputable collision shops. It is a beacon of integrity and fair dealing. The rear passenger door of my Camry was dented while it was parked overnight at the MPG Lincoln Square parking garage, where I am a monthly customer. (Unless you can produce a witness who saw them make the dent, they do not accept responsibility for any damage.) The dent was about 1 inch wide and 3 inches long and went down to the bare metal. I contacted various collision shops, all of whom had good ratings and reviews. (Memo: be wary of good reviews.) Typical of the morass was Gotham City Collision. From a picture I sent, they stated the cost would be $1300-1500 with parts, labor, and paint. After taking the car to them and then getting a highball price revision for door moldings, the cost ballooned to $1908. I decided to buy the moldings myself ($322) and bring them to a different shop. I had sent the dent picture to several which proved to be in the same price range, so I almost fell out of my chair when Rosie from G & R Auto Services phoned me with a price of $400. I thought for sure this would be a lowball price that they would jack up after I took in the car. But I decided that, even if they doubled the price, I would still come out ahead compared to the other shops. I took the car to their shop in Woodside. It is kind of a dumpy neighborhood, but the inside of their workshop is sparkling. Rosie came out and marked the dent with a green marker, plus a few other spots (bumper, mirror) for touch-up. She wanted to keep the car 3 days which was fine. You will love her; she is very personable and considerate. The shop did a beautiful job, with the new paint graduated into the old so you cannot tell. They did not need to paint the front passenger door, which Gotham City Collision insisted was necessary. And most shocking of all, the price stayed at a firm $400, plus tax and a 4% surcharge for paying by credit card. Nobody looks forward to taking a car in for body work, but I would be delighted to go back to G & R if my car needs it in the future. If you have a good car that you want to hang onto and keep it looking nice, G & R will surely help you do that. An amazing experience. By the way, Gotham City Collision was wrong when they told me the moldings would have to be replaced. Gotham said they were attached only with tape and would be wrecked by removing. Actually, the moldings have three camloc snap-fit fasteners that push into holes in the door (plus double-faced tape). The old moldings were not damaged by G & R Auto Services when removed. The last job they did on my car was very very bad experience. Been a customer for a long time and I recommend all of my friends and families to come here. But that changes everything. Not going back there anymore. The Owner's son was very helpful and knowledgeable but the guys who handled the work to my BMW messed up all the computers, electrical, etc. Been going back and forth for more than 2 months just to fix the problem and later they can't figure out what's going on with my car. The worst thing is George the owner just told me to sell the car coz it's just a headache to me. Thats how bad the service is. That's how I started looking for somebody who has more knowledge about BMWs. I end up spending more than $5000 just to fixed all the problems. The computers, electrical under the carpet got soaking wet and the only problem came from the fender that they fixed from the accident. I've been dealing the sunroof leaks for almost 3 months. The new fender wasn't installed properly and causes the blockage of the sunroof drain that causes the water leak inside the car. Very very disappointed. At first, they are very helpful but ones you'll have this kind of problems, that's how they start avoiding you. And please note: if you have knowledge about body works, paint jobs, etc., this shop has a lot of flaws when it comes to workmanship. They're really good at talking but watch out. Contacted Tony through the yelp app requesting a quote late night. He responded within 30 minutes and told me to come in the next day so he can evaluate the car. Came in next morning and he gave me a reasonable price to fix my power windows and also gave me other alternative options if it didn't work. Thankfully the car got fixed within the same day and he didn't overcharge me since it got delayed due to some wiring issues in the car that took long to resolve. I had a few dents on my passenger side fender that I wanted taken care of. Was it that bad and noticeable? As compared to other cars, far from it, but I'm very picky with how my car looks. Foreseeing that I'm going to keep my car as long as possible, I want it looking as good as possible. I had tried going to other places, getting quotes left and right, but either they all seemed overpriced, they couldn't guarantee that the dent would be fully removed, or they just said "Don't bother, you're going to get another dent sooner or later." Not exactly the things I wanted to hear, and none of those options seemed like good customer service or worth it to me. I ultimately ended up requesting a quote from G&R. Tony responded promptly, even after normal business hours. I explained my situation and sent him pictures and he gave me a fair quote. Although I didn't get the chance to speak to him in person, I did get the chance to talk to Rosie, who was the nicest person you could ever meet. She made you feel comfortable, she explained how the work would be done, and she stood by the original quote given. Clarity and honesty, what else more could you ask for? I have been driving VW Beetles since the 70s and currently drive a 2012 VW New Beetle. Last week marked the end of the Beetle as VW has stopped making them, so I resolved to keep mine in great condition. Absolutely terrible! I scratched my father's car last week and I wanted to get it quickly repair. So I went here for the first time and Rosie charged me $350 to fix the scratch. I took the offer, but when I was paying up she tried to rip me off by saying we said $400. That was one annoying thing. Second annoying this is after my father came back and washed his car, the scratch was still there.
