Nothing but problems since having cataract surgery. Kind of assembly line. She does 20-30 a day.

The care from providers I've seen has been acceptable, however, every time I try to call the office I am on hold for 20+ minutes, their reception staff is very short and unhelpful, and they don't follow through when they say they will call you to schedule. It's very frustrating as a patient and I would not recommend this office for anything other than a routine eye exam. read more

This place bought out my Reed City eye doctor location, and we tried to stay with them because we like our eye doctor. We are leaving. This phone call / internet scheduling system is pathetic as you will lose 20-30 minutes of your life when you try calling. Then today put me over the edge (and I am a very patient person that gets accused of being too nice). Two hours before my appointment I had a message saying I need to call and reschedule (no reason given). After getting a busy signal 5 times, I drove to the eye doctor office to visit in person. Real Estate sign on the door and padlock on the door. I called for the next 10 minutes, busy. Then the call went through, but I was on hold...for ten more minutes. When a person finally answered she was short and rude, and told me I had to schedule for a month away. Then, I asked if the office moved, and she told me the new address, I asked how I was supposed to know they moved offices. She said they would send me a text (she never apologized for anything). I laughed and said my appointment was within two hours and no text...we argued for a while, and she hung up on me. I prefer an eye doctor that when I call the office I speak with someone in that actual office. I got home, called a new eye doctor office that has high reviews, someone in that office answered on the second ring, we had a pleasant conversation, she scheduled me an appointment for next week. Terrible, terrible, terrible. Unfortunately, the lowest rating gives them at least one star. Doesn't deserve that one. Glasses were no good, meaning the prescription. I asked for a refund and they refused. They wanted to do another exam. I was afraid the I would have to pay for that, so I just told them to keep the glasses, the glass are no good to me. The last two times I went there, the glasses were no good. Last years glasses are sitting in my desk drawer. Customer service is lousy at best. The owner has 5 offices throughout Michigan and owns other businesses, so money is not an issue for him. Never again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

My new glasses are crappier and blurrier than my old scratched up glasses. Was sent by the VA through community care to this place and I can see why. During the exam the examiner couldn't even get my right eye corrected to 20/20 and said not to worry about it the glasses wouldn't be an issue. read more

We have used Riemer eye center a couple of times and every time we go they never follow up and order what they say they will. Recently I had a yearly eye exam and wanted to order contacts, they measured my eyes did an exam and everything was fine until it came to the optical side where they order the contacts. The optical side said they would order trials so we could come and have them fitted. That is where things went terribly wrong 3 weeks went by and no word from them and when I called they said they would talk to the optical ladies about ordering them and call back. The front desk lady never talked to them and never called back. So I waited until after Thanksgiving and called again and still nothing was ordered. I would not send my dog to this place. read more

Staff are always, consistently rude - highly NOT recommended!!! Go anywhere else! Understaffed reception desk. Staff act put-out whether you call or walk in. They seem to resist sharing prescriptions so you can get glasses somewhere else. read more

We went here for years and then switched to non state insurance. Upon doing that we found out our kids were being treated medically and not vision for a issue we were never told about and not even sure they have (now getting second opinion). further more they had been billing our insurance for YEARS for tests that weren't being preformed for a condition that wasn't discussed with us of our minor children. They told me when I brought my kids in it was covered except for our co pays. We'll turns out that wasn't true at all. None of the exam was covered at all. As shown by over 300$ in bills I received this month. Further more they originally said only one of my son's had the eye condition when I questioned how their was no additional testing but there was additional billing they said oh no they both have it. (Forgetting i had my kids full eye recorded printed from them last year and it doesnt show any of what they're saying). All and all if you want to pay for a name and not a service this is the place for you! read more

I am a customer here and have been since I moved here. I lost my glasses last Friday on our farm, not sure where and this is the first time I don't have a back up. I called them on a Friday early afternoon and explained that i lost my glasses and need them to see. I was told someone would call me back by end of day. I waited for two hours and no call back, again I need glasses to see and I was freaking out what I was going to do. I called back and was told they were busy and someone would call me back by COB. It's now 10 minutes before they close so I call and asked for a copy of my prescription. They never call d me until the following Tuesday wanting to know if I was ready to order my glasses like nothing was wrong. I told them I've already order my glasses from someplace else. DONT USE THEM THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. read more

I had an appointment with my two daughters 8 and 10 years old. The doctor was great with the kids and explained things well. My one daughter ended up needing glasses and they helped find a pair she liked and were affordable. I highly recommend them! read more

My husband had an evaluation for cataract surgery at Reimer Eye Care Cadillac in early 2022 with surgery performed at Munson Cadillac May of 2022. As far as we knew the surgery went fine though the surgeon never came to speak with us. About a week later my husband complained of eye pain and called the office for which more eye drops were recommended.Ar each of his next two appointments he complained of eye discomfort and poor vision in the affected eye but received no advice, explanation, or treatment. Today at his appointment they told him he's LOST some vision in that eye. He came to them with 20/25 vision and now has 20/40. When he voiced alarm he was told "Don't worry, at least you're not blind!" and "Would you like to schedule an appointment for the other eye?" !!! In what universe can this be called medical professionalism? Like anyone my hysband values his eyesight. He's a hunter and a fisherman. I wish we had never heard of this place and in my opinion you'd be wise to stay far, far away from this practice. read more

I had my appointment over 1 month ago and they can't seem to get my prescription right. First time it was like looking through a coke bottle and they made it out that I had to get used to my glasses. I had the lady check my lens, sure enough it was plus instead of minus. Got excited after two weeks they came in. Wrong prescription again and still tried to tell me I had to get used to them. I wore them for 1 day and had a splitting headache. I told the lady I wanted to speak to someone so now a appointment with a Optometrist. She checked my vision and my glasses and yes they were wrong again so now another two weeks. This is so ridiculous! I think they owe me a cheap pair of frames and lens for all this trouble. Otherwise I'm never going back. I've never had any problems with any eye Dr.in my life! I don't suggest going here.
