My little boy had so much fun crafting with free run of endless loose materials. Something about the place and it's wonderful staff just calms the nervous system, and lets you know you are in a safe space where everyone is encouraged and accepted. The way the staff reacts when your child asks a question, or asks for materials that are not out amongst the thousands that are visibly available is with willingness and kindness. They even went out to the shed to bring in stuffing for the craft my kiddo decided to make as a Christmas present for me. He felt so valued and respected...like his voice mattered inside of Tynkertopia, even though he's a kid. Another thing they do when you walk in the door that was so unique and adds to the feeling that you are welcome there is to give you a tour of where everything is and what's available to do. They introduce you to their fascinating Honey Ant colony, and you can even spot the Queen! Honey Ants are beautiful creatures. Tynkertopia offers nutritious snacks for hungry little tummies. The way they bring you in to this wondrous space makes you feel so at home. This is a non-profit and apparently they just won a couple of awards for (I think it was ) best things to do with kids, and best non-profit and they absolutely deserve both of those. Thank you, thank you for being so kind to us and selling my son the 3D printed spiral fidget for a kids price; because he...is...obsessed with it!!! We had the most fun ever, and are still in disbelief that a magical, yet so humble a space like this, exists. My kiddo says he wishes he could be there every day. This is the Yavapai College Verde Valley campus, in Clarkdale. We have about ten buildings here,…read moreincluding a greenhouse for the agriculture program, the Southwest Wine Center with a 13-acre vineyard, and a new Skilled Trades Center. We also have classrooms, a small break area with a cafeteria that will open in the future, and a modern library. Attending the classes has been a ghost town experience, as on-campus activity has been minimIzed during the pandemic. However, we have excellent faculty, and the entire state watches what we do at the wine center. Class plans are very accommodating, with degree, transfer, apprenticeship, and personal interest curricula. I am studying for a certificate. The campus is beautiful, and I really enjoy looking across the valley at the spectacular mountains and my home 20 miles away.

Also, my husband and I went to the 2026 Pecan and Wine festival in Camp Verde, AZ and there were a ton of wineries providing tastings and I disliked all of them except the Southwest Wine Center! Always smiling, always friendly, always delicious. If you visit the tasting room, expect beautiful views of the vineyards and fantastic, knowledgable staff. They have outdoor and inside seating. I went for a combo yoga and wine class through Yavapai College. We started with an excellent 1 hour yoga session on the patio overlooking the vineyards. The instructor was very good and also accommodating for various skill levels. As part of the class we had a wine voucher. I tried the Tannat, a grape that can be hard to find and it was excellent. Most recently I found a new place, I had to drive to Flagstaff, and they are excellent. I am so happy to have found a new place. Quilters Quarters did not give any consideration to me of the amount of money that I had paid, and the amount of times I had brought the machine in. Every time I called, the answer was the same. The charge is $150. I would definitely find another place if you're just starting to look.
