You'll notice right away the clean white bricks on the outside. Ample, free parking is available. As soon as you walk in, there is an old-fashioned coin-operated kiddie ride horse. It's adorable. Then there's the polished wood floor. The high ceilings. The uber organized sections for men, women, and children. Multiple dressing rooms. My favorite area is probably hats. There is an attendant specially for that section to get your new hat fitted, shaped, and on your way to the upcoming fair & rodeo in Lea County. I was greeted at the store, but was slightly disappointed at the lack of customer service thereafter. Nonetheless, I will be back for some new jeans. They also sell jewelry, belts, cowboy wallets, coolers, tumblers, and more. Roy Rogers sang, "Let me ride through the wild open country that I love / Don't fence me in." Do it in style too... I thought the first room was it then I continued to two more large rooms. She went out if her way to show me the most adorable bath and body care items she ordered for the Christmas holiday. As of 9/19/2023 she was building a new shelving unit and unboxing items like bath bombs and lotions - perfect affordable stocking stuffers. I picked up a few items for my daughters' nana's birthday. She is going to love the earrings, lip gloss in the shape of a wine bottle, & the adorable little knick knack we got her. All for just a little over $32. Plus she gift wrapped it for me! Our technicians and electricians tend to wear long-sleeve shirts year-round, but we have also bought short-sleeve collared shirts and jackets because New Mexico has some wacky weather... even during the dog days of summer. The employee that greeted me at the front was cordial and prompt with our snap-back hat order of over $1,000. They all looked amazing. This time my bosses decided to order two variations of camo and some black hats with our Zia logo. I just saw some pullover vests on their Facebook page that look sharp - I might have to inquire about them. Cotton Castle delivers some of the most posh clothing in this small town…read more The store caters primarily women. Albeit younger women. I didn't realize this before I went in school shopping with my two young daughters. They thought it was a cute store, though. They sell blouses, dresses, skirts, dress pants, and just about everything else garment-wise in between... Also in stock is jewelry, purses, shoes, hats, and other accessories. They offer more affordable fashion jewelry, but I also saw a young man purchasing some of their more higher end fine jewelry which was tastefully displayed in a well-lit area. There is abundant, free parking in the North Vista Plaza near Music World and Miller Waldrop Furniture. Their Facebook page seems dead. For my mom's Mother's Day gift, I went to Cactus Bloom Boutique…read more This shop is surprisingly large. You can't miss it on Main Ave in Lovington, NM. There's ample street parking all around. My daughters and I were warmly greeted by two busy employees on May 9, 2026. There were new gift items predominantly in the front surrounding the checkout area. But there is also a vintage (not quite yet antique) room with an entrance slightly behind the registers. Then the rest of the shop has multiple booth spaces of individual sellers. Their items range from new to old. Fashionable to collectible. I really like their jewelry counter, although, I wasn't there to shop for myself. My youngest daughter bought me a beautiful set of earrings from one of the back booths. They are precious! For my mom, I knew she would love a new candle. The Superstar scent ("Calabrian bergamot, white copra, mimosa blossom, rose buds, solar jasmine, davana, cedar, sandalwood, and musk") by Tyler Candle Company smelled amazing. I also bought a jar of Cactus Bloom-made sweet/salty pecans as well as a jar of salsa for her. My future sister-in-law finds jewelry pieces here that she loves, so I know I'll be back.

Music World is one of my favorite small business in Hobbs still!…read more Back on 8.7.2025 I came into purchase my daughter's new trombone cleaning kit. Because she's part of her school's band, they had a special. The discount took off $15.95. The cleaning kit (and a folding music stand included free) came out to $31.99. My other daughter has been taking private guitar lessons in their small practice room since May 2025. We are gracious for their support and so glad they don't get made when her lesson goes a minute or two over time (which is closing time). Huge fan.

Miller-Waldrop Furniture is a fairly large store in Hobbs, NM…read more There was ample parking in a shared lot called the Norte Vista Plaza. I used to love coming here as a little girl with my mom because she knew I would never touch anything breakable. Lol. They still have a lovely store all decorated for Christmas as of November 16, 2024. We were immediately greeted by Celina. What an interesting spelling of her name, right? She assisted me with questions about a twin-size bed for my daughter. She gave me her card and took my information as well. Since we are in the month of November, I'm grateful for Miller-Waldrop for a few reasons: 1) My brother bought me a bed from here when I first moved back to New Mexico. It is still so comfortable. I know it was high end, but it was so worth it. 2) The salespeople are not pushy, but they will check in on you from time to time. 3) They offer unique pieces like this coffee table that I love, love, love... it's like a tree stump... not symmetrical.
