The entire physical therapy team were great. Maureen, the occupational therapist assistant, was the most caring, positive and thorough . She was the only one who started me on Diathermy first, and she was spot on using that therapy on me! Nurse Evanie, who distributed meds was so cheery, kind and professional. She listened to my needs and acted promptly! I never waited long. The facility is kept super clean and maintenance crew like Hilda, Pedro and Lu Lu entered the room without loud chatter and were respectful and considerate of my needs to not have strong cleaners on the floor due to my respiratory condition. This place is not the modern remodeled kind but the care and cleanliness really matters a lot. The food was mostly very tasty. They happily substituted anything on the menu. The only change I would like to see is syrup without high fructose corn syrup and creamer without artificial ingredients If I didn't mention all staff by name, I still thank everyone for making my difficult time a little easier. I wanted to take a moment to thank your team for everything they did on my behalf during that time. Your entire nursing team on Station 2 where I was located was so welcoming and helpful to a new and extremely anxious arrival like myself. I must give special mention to CNAs Veronica and Alma with whom I spent the majority of my time. They were always attentive and cheerful when I needed it most. Assistant Director of Nursing Mike Lamb also went out of his way to assist me when I had questions or concerns about my situation. The Physical Therapy team was fantastic in their approach to my healing. Primarily led by Ted and Jurbee, my PT sessions became the best part of my day. Their expertise and advice produced immediate results and made me feel much more confident in my ultimate recovery. Finally, your Administrative team- Meredith Shipley, Erin Hickey and Crystal Islas provided the patient related information I needed to relieve undue stress from the moment I was admitted to the day of my release. Again, special mention to Erin and Crystal for their efficiency. Both went above and beyond to assist me with scheduling doctors appointments and home nursing follow-up. As I am facing additional surgery there is a good chance I will be admitted to rehab again within the next few months. I will be sure to specifically request your facility. I am very impressed with this facility. I have noted that all of the employees appear to work as a team. The physical therapist are very committed to their patients. On day 5 here I was able to walk using a front wheel walker approximately 15 steps! Prior to surgery on 8/3/23, I made one attempt to walk and it was a struggle Obviously the surgery was a success and I am very happy to be receiving my post op care at this facility. I was ambulanced from Temecula and had no family with me. They could hear the screaming over the phone and told me to call the police. They arrived with an ambulance to take me safely to Hemet hospital while waiting for my insurance to get me to another facility. San Jacinto Valley was great but I wish I was at one of the ones closer to Temecula. DONT GO THERE !!!!! Btw I have United Health Care and Medicare.

Staff seemed overwhelmed and untrained, with high turnover making it hard to build any consistent relationships. Medications were mishandled on multiple occasions, and basic hygiene needs were often neglected. The facility itself looked fine at first glance, but once you're inside regularly, you notice a lack of cleanliness and attention to detail. My concerns were repeatedly brushed off by management, who seemed more focused on appearances than actual care. I am impressed every time I visit here. The facility is clean and the staff is beyond comparison. They seem genuinely concerned about the wellbeing of the patients. It sometimes feels like a family atmosphere where everyone knows each other, including the patients. There are many students that work here as part of their nursing program so there never seems to be a shortage of help. I have visited patients at many skilled nursing facilities, and I find this one to be one of the best. The only downfall is it is an older facility and could use a facelift.

My loved one fell and spent nearly 24 hours on the floor no one bothered to notify a family member. Our loved one was taken to the hospital via ambulance. However someone from accounting did call to ask for money the same day AND did not mention the fall or the hospital. When a resident does not check-in in the morning someone is supposed to check on them. No one did. Our loved one was found later by a maintenance person who stopped by to put a door knob on that was missing. House keeping is part of the package. In three months the apartment was cleaned once. And I use the term "cleaned" loosely. The bathroom was cleaned but the furniture was covered in dust and the kitchen was lightly wiped down, not cleaned. Most of the staff were helpful and pleasant. But the administrative staff was dismissive (after the contract was signed).

My wife was there for 3 weeks and was cleaned several times per day. She was bathed twice per week which was acceptable since she did little to need more attention. The facility is spotless with maintenance folks mopping and cleaning constantly. The chef personally visited each patient to see what they liked to eat. The food was wholesome and plentiful. The staff came around several times per day serving coffee, cocoa, tea and ice cream. We stayed at other facilities in the past several years, but none came close to measuring up to HVHC. A BIG THANK YOU TO EVERY ONE THAT SERVED MY WIFE!

I had originally intended to go to the sheriff's station in Perris to get it done since their rolling fee is only $10 as opposed to $20 at Home Instead. However, I decided to save myself the drive and discomfort of sitting in a busy sheriff station (they were so busy they left me on hold for 15 min and disconnected me when i initially tried to make an appt). But I digress, I called Home instead to make the appt. and the friendly receptionist was able to get me a same day appt. As soon as I walked in I was offered something to drink and snacks. The staff seemed very welcoming and happy to be there. While I waited, Jacyn the office manager introduced himself to me. The fingerprinting itself was done quickly and Therese the livescan specialist made the experience as pleasant as possible. I would definitely recommend this place if you are in need of a livescan.
