Just say no! 1st caregiver was un believable amazing and exceptional and set the bar. Unfortunately took a job closer to home. Ever since it's been Down hill. Example. Doesn't know how to make a grilled sandwich other didn't know how to shred a cooked chicken. Doesn't know how to use a swifter make a decent bed clean shower and on and on. 1 forgot what she was doing 1/2 the time. Stand w/trash bag in hand and oh what am I to do with this? You get the idea. Wow, these guys are amazing. My parents were in a very difficult situation, and Breanna Santos went above and beyond to take care of it. My dad has severe dementia, and my mom CHF. They were involved in an auto accident there in Orange County, CA. I'm located in North Carolina, and it was very difficult to get them the help they needed. Breanna helped me orchestrate their release from a SNF back to their home in Irvine. My dad is doing so much better now that he is in a familiar setting. The staff are amazing. We were fortunate to be connected with an extended team of dedicated and diligent caregivers with many talents helpful for my mother's condition, including Mai, Rianty, Annette, Stacy, Norma, Ricardo, and Mackenzie. They all kept tabs and shared information about my mother with each other, guided by RAH policy, so that any medication adjustments and recent conditions were fully accounted for. RaH was great when Chad and Ryan owned it. However, since the new owners took over a couple months ago, beware of the some of the new staff. One did an unauthorized debit of my dad's bank account after ACH access was removed and this was clearly communicated to her. Another staff member was rude, unsympathetic and just unkind to deal with and this was right after my father passed away! Two of the three titles she uses in her email signature are care manager and client relations; you'd think someone using those titles would show a little respect and empathy days after someone dies. read more

My dad was recently in the hospital and a family friend referred us to Chad with Right at Home. We called, and were told Chad would give us a call back within a few minutes, and he did. We set up a meeting with him for the next day. He came, in a mask, and we wore masks as well and met at my parents home. He did a quick review of our home, helped us pick the best location for a hospital bed that was being delivered, and went over all of the details of what they offer. He also answered all questions we had. We signed paperwork that day and tentatively agreed to start two days later with 24 hour care. It of course depended when my dad was released from the hospital, and he was released with almost no notice the next evening. Chad had a care taker at my parents home within the hour that my dad came home. He came home via a medical van as we couldn't get him in and out of our car ourselves so it worked out well. As I stated we started with 24 hour care and while we didn't necessarily need that, it was perfect that we had it. We originally planned for this due to assistance needed in the middle of night, not knowing the hospital was sending my dad home with a catheter. Dillon was one person that was at the house a lot and he was amazing. I met Dillon once and I was able to see how proactive he was. Any time my dad asked my mom for something Dillon jumped right in and handled it. Towards the end, my mom said he just did everything with no direction needed. He changed the sheets and went right to the laundry room and washed them. He was great. He also pushed my dad to do things which is what we wanted and needed. He truly was the best and we were grateful for him. There were a few that didn't work out so well, whether it was they weren't willing to really help out, or weren't able to do things such as lift my dad up in bed. I would be willing to bet some of them had some complaints of their own. I know some of their shifts were very boring and it wasn't always easy to be able to do what we wanted as the patient wasn't so cooperative. So it went both ways, I'm sure. I do know one person was requested not to return and we were asked if they could use it as a training opportunity. Unfortunately my mom said no and it wasn't anything related to them. I don't think my dad was the best person to use for training as he wasn't always willing to do what he needed, and I think he would've been frustrated which would have led to more issues, in my opinion. I think it's great they do try to make it a learning experience it just didn't work out for us to be able to do so. Chad was always very responsive when my mom reached out to him and I was able to have a chat with him early on when I ran into him at my parents house. They are basically ready to help you at any given time as you can't always plan way ahead for these situations. I am very grateful we were referred to Chad and Right at Home and I would gladly refer them in the future to someone else. All care takers wore masks their entire shifts. I always wore one when inside my parents home as well. My parents did not, and I suggested they did, but it was out of my control. Chad informed us they were screened for temperature and symptoms prior to every shift. My mom also got a thermometer as well. Not sure if she ever ended up using it - the forehead scanning type. These are of course my feelings and while I was not in the home 24/7 I did talk to my mom a lot and I believe she was also very happy with most of her experience here as well. read more

I engaged this company in June 2018 to provide at home care for my elderly parents. The company is located in Laguna Hills and I wanted an agency near where my folks live. I found them to be responsive, caring and professional. The owner, Keith, visited my mother in the nursing home before her release to observe from her physical therapists the kind of home care she would need so he could make sure his team were briefed. We had virtually no notice that she was being released to go home and would require 24/7 care. Keith and his care coordinator rose to the occasion and staffed her home with round the clock care in two days time. His caregivers are CNA's and skilled in the kind of care she needed. Keith gave me his cell phone as well as office number and I could call him directly anytime which is wonderful when you aren't in the area and concerned about your folks. His office staff was very communicative and helpful. They also take care of submitting the insurance documents to your LTC company. I found the caregivers working for him all to be top notch - not a bad one in the bunch and we had many staffing the round the clock hours. They were on time, they were attentive, caring and helpful, all lovely people. I can't recommend this company enough. To be as concise and to the point as possible: Right At Home has been an absolute dream of a company. They are devoted, reliable, and competitively priced. You will get a level of consistency and service far and above that of their competitors, but for a competitive price. I cannot say enough good things about this company. To elaborate, I had an absolutely hellish road with other companies. I had turned first to 24 Hour Home Care for the care of my mother, who has progressive supranuclear palsy. 24 Hour Home Care proved entirely unreliable. Cancellations would occur on a regular basis and they would be incapable of finding a replacement in time, thus leaving my mother without someone to care for her, and therefore in serious danger. This was such a regular occurrence that I felt intense anxiety on a daily basis and would only feel anything approximating relief in the immediate aftermath of their caregiver arriving. There was no consistent peace under 24 Hour Home Care because there was no consistency. You could not rely upon them at all. After things became untenable with them, I tried 123 Home Care. They were all promises about being able to do better, but they did not deliver. They were, in fact, worse. Both them and 24 Hour Home Care would have caregivers arrive late, cancel last minute with no replacement, leave with no replacement, and I would spend a considerable portion of every single day on the phone with the company trying to work through options with them. They were utter failures. Right At Home is such a contrast from those companies, it is like night-and-day. Chad signed us up promising reliable care and he has delivered on every aspect of his promises. The caregivers are reliable, on-time, and faithfully scheduled. There has only been one time when a nurse was late, and that was due to a tire blowout, which is unavoidable. Chad called to tell us from his car, because he himself was on his way to take over until the caregiver arrived. Fortunately, the caregiver was only ever-so-briefly delayed and arrived very readily. I haven't had to spend any time on the phone with Right At Home addressing any failures, because they have not failed in a single instance. They call me once in a while just to check in on my satisfaction. With 24 Hour Home Care and 123 Home Care, I dreaded the ring of the phone because it was always terrible news. With Right At Home, it is just courteous check-ins. They have always been reliable thus far. If you too have been through the hell of trying to find reliable care for a loved one, Right At Home is your oasis. They will be an entirely different experience. You will finally feel the peace that comes from knowing your loved one is in the care of a company that will deliver on their promises and provide superb and reliable care.
