I'm not a big reviewer but I wanted to give this company five stars and let you know my experience.... i'm a younger man that was disabled in a work accident and due to unfortunate circumstances I was unable to get the care provided to me Dan and his company stepped in and provided the top notch service when I absolutely need it I couldn't recommend them enough they are caring compassionate flexible and completely understanding their employees are top notch and background checked I couldn't speak more highly about this company for anybody of all ages their caregivers treat you with dignity and respect and I just like I said as a human being that has to use this kind of service at such a young age it truly warms my heart that there is still a few GREAT companies still out there read more

We are giving respite care to my mother-in-law. My husband and I, both seniors ourselves, contacted Right at Home to come into the home three hours per day for the length of her stay. The caretakers that have come out have been wonderful. Stella in particular has helped us with some handy tricks to minimize injury risk to both our mom and us. She is absolutely wonderful. She takes initiative and takes control which for novices in care taking is most appreciated. All of the caretakers have been wonderful but Stella is stellar. read more

We worked with Right at Home to provide twice a week care for my 89 year old father, in Rancho Mirage. The companion drove him to the market, went with him to lunch and helped him with errands, as well as simple support using her cell phone. While my dad was initially resistant to the support and possibly losing his privacy, this was not the case at all and he thanked us over and over again for the support and kindness of his companion. My aging, fiercely independent parents reached a point where care in the home was required and their children all live too far away to provide they care.. Dan & Elaine Fox came to the rescue! Their level of care and attention has exceeded my expectations- for example, my 91 year Dad has been the care giver for my Mom who is recovering from back surgery. Dad sprained his knee on a Thursday and by Saturday he couldn't walk. Big problem! He called Dan. They didn't have a nurse available. So what was there solution? Dan and his wife Elaine personally picked up my Dad, took him to urgent care, waited with him, took his prescription to the pharmacy and then dropped him off back at his house. My husband was in his final four days when we called; we needed extra help at night fast. Right at Home was outstanding and provided us with great staff members who did a wonderful job. We give tremendous credit to the hard work of the remarkable staff at Right at Home that my mother has rallied so successfully and is no longer on hospice. Through the hard work and dedication of their staff and my mother's own "grit", we have been able to get her off hospice and back onto her health Insurance plan. We have grown extremely fond of the Right at Home caregivers who have worked so diligently on behalf of my mother and we give them full credit for her recovery. They have each brought something very special to the care of my mother and we have been impressed by their professionalism and the care they have provided. Dan and Elaine, the owners, came to our home the same day I called them about our situation and conferenced with me in person regarding the care that was needed. They were "hands on" throughout my mother's care and were available whenever I had a question or concern. I have been so impressed with everybody I've met with Right at Home and they will be my first recommendation to anybody looking for home caregiver service. I can't think of a single thing I would recommend for improvement. Mr & Mrs Fox, the owners are totally hands-on, overseeing the business from scheduling, customer service needs and monitoring the quality of care being received. Last year in September my husband was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer. I was the primary caregiver for both my Mother who also lived with us (91 years old) and my husband. Needless to say, I needed help....mentally and physically. I wanted to devote as much time as I could to take care of my husband and decided it was time to look for help to assist with the care for my Mother so I didn't wear myself out. I saw the TV commercial for Right at Home and called to inquire. Both Dan & Eileen came out and we got my Mom setup to have a caregiver come for a few days a week which allowed me more time to be with my husband to take him for the many appointments required. I cannot say enough about the assistance they gave. All the caregivers that came were so caring and loving, it made all the difference in the World. As my husband continued to decline, I called Dan & Eileen again for some assistance as he was bedridden by then and once again they both came out and got him setup. My husband passed on Thanksgiving day and my Mom passed away in May......as I look back, this was one of the best decisions I could have made to ensure that we all had time together. We did a lot of looking when we needed help for Dad. Dan and Elaine stood out from the rest with their professionalism and empathy. They came to the nursing home and met with us and Dad and explained everything. The transition to going home again was smooth in large part because of Right at Home and our caregiver. Our family contracted with Right at Home (Palm Desert) to help our mother return home after a short stint at an assisted living facility. If it was not for the excellent care provided, our mom wouldn't have been able to manage well (or safely) on her own. From our first meeting with Dan and Elaine Fox, it was clear that this is not some part-time business or (just a) financial investment on their part. Both are very actively involved on a daily basis in everything going on, and easily accessible. All staff members (caregivers) have been caring and attentive, punctual and responsible. Called and spoke to Dan. Explained my situation that I was calling ahead to see how things work as I might need surgery and needed care for the day of my surgery upon my return home. I called because their website states that they care for almost any family and practically any situation. Their home office stated to me that they provide care for individuals in my situation. Yes, the Yelp reviews for Right at Home were glowing, but unfortunately Right at Home in the Coachella Valley was not immediately available to provide the necessary 24-hour care we needed. So we were forced to hire an alternate firm. Big mistake. It's all about the quality of people, and the other firm's caretakers were not acceptable. Fortunately, Right at Home caretakers were finally available, and they were just as good as the reviews promised. Professional, soft-spoken, caring, comforting, efficient -- all people to be trusted. There are a lot of companies offering care at home. Oddly, the unacceptable company charged about the same as Right at Home, but the care provided was a world apart. Elderly loved ones don't deserve second-rate or worse. Right at Home was -- for us -- the best. read more

We planned a vacation in Indio over Thanksgiving and included our family member with dementia. A friend who lives locally in Indio had heard Dan Fox on TV and suggested I call him for help while we were there. From our first call I was impressed with the responsiveness of the Team at Right at Home. They were able to do most of the intake by phone, start a care plan and fill all the shifts I requested with a minimum number of staff (I appreciated this continuity!). The evening we came into town, Dan and Elaine came to our home in Indio, met all of our family and completed the intake and care plan. That night care was started. Towards the end of our vacation, another family member became ill and we needed to extend our stay. Right at Home staff responded right away and provided additional staffing. Caregivers were polite, caring and proficient. Office staff were helpful and responsive. We could not have asked for a better experience! We would definitely recommend this agency! My sister and I walked into the Right at Home office unannounced, and Dan and Elaine, the owners, despite busy schedules, immediately sat down with us and listened to our concerns with interest and compassion. Our mother had taken a fall that resulted in a double fracture and was also having struggles cognitively. She could not advocate for her own care and we could not depend on the rehab center to provide the quality of care she needed. We were exhausted and worried and struggling with a less than adequate medical system. We needed help. Dan and Elaine arrived on-site the following day to meet our mother and view the facility. They arranged a team of caregivers to meet the needs of our mother. There are many things we appreciate about Dan and Elaine. They care for their employees, as well as for the client and their client's families. They visited our mother in effort to provided a good caregiver "match," and viewed the facility to see that it was an appropriate setting for their caregiver staff. Dan, Elaine and Right At Home are accessible 24/7. They respond quickly to email messages and phone calls. And, I can't say enough about reliability. We never received a call that a shift wouldn't be covered. They lifted the worry right off our shoulders. Each of the caregivers were reliable and punctual. They came with compassion, respect, and training. Each caregiver had their own strength, a little something different they bring with them, whether it be a sense of humor, motherly love, patience, interest in social issues, whatever the way, each would find a way to connect with our mom. They each spent a great deal of time stroking her hair, taking her for walks, laughing with her during her favorite TV show, or holding her hand in the wee hours when she awoke, and they maintained respectful patience when she could be difficult. They kept detailed notes of the attention our mother received, as well as the events of her day. We have used Right At Home services part-day, 24/7, and even as part-time assistance while on an outing. In all cases our story remains the same: caring, compassionate, skilled and reliable. I will attempt to do justice to my utter appreciation for the compassionate care and support that Elaine and Dan Fox provided through Right at Home. Both as care providers and as administrators, they provided my mother and I a level of informed, quality and invested service that mitigated so much of the stress. My mother experience sudden onset MCI - a hugely, stunning shock to me since I live thousands of miles away from her and had no prior indication just a few months earlier on a visit. Upon discovering this condition when I flew out to assess the situation with my mother, I became deeply aware of how little I knew and how seemingly isolated I was as a result in having to suddenly provide care and assistance for my mother. And that I was shortly going to have to depart for a period before I could return to provide targeted support and assistance while addressing all her medical and livelihood issues. It was a deeply traumatizing and consequently surreal time. In that context I was referred to Elaine and Dan at Right at Home of Palm Desert. Oh my gosh! They came over immediately to meet with my mother and I. They were informative, insightful, obviously caring, very much aware of all the variables at play, and a tremendously calming, soothing and quietly assuring presence for me. All that I hoped for subsequent to that initial meeting was realized through their genuine and expert caring for my mother while I was away (which occurred a couple of separate spans of time). At times their guidance and attention even surpassed my expectations. They're genuine. They're compassionate. They're expert in what they do from both the service delivery and the administrative sides. And you would be foolish to seek out any other provider. This is in no way to disrespect the other quality providers that may be out there. However, once you've got a known quantity, quality and a manifest humanity, why would you trust anyone else with such a profound responsibility? I can never thank you adequately, Elaine and Dan. My Parents' Caregivers are professional, conscientious, patient, caring, and comforting, 7 days a week. I never have a worry about my Parents when their Right at Home Caregiver is with them, and everything is managed seamlessly. We realized we needed help with my mother-in-law and I asked an elder care nurse for a recommendation. She gave me Right at Home. When I looked at the reviews I gave them a call. Elaine and Dan Fox, the owners, came the next morning (a Sunday!) and explained to me their business. I think the thing that immediately clinched it was the understanding that their people are throughly background checked, trained and insured. I had been trying to line up "off the books" help that would have cost a few dollars less per hour. But when I realized if those people got hurt in her house, that those few dollars would have evaporated if we got sued. The people Right at Home sent were amazing! Respectful, compassionate, knowledgeable, efficient, warm, friendly. Such great people! With Dan and Elaine's help, we figured out the 5 hours that would help us the most...first thing in the morning to 11:30AM. It gave me an opportunity to leave the house and do errands, meet friends, exercise, knowing that my mother-in-law was in great hands. I wished that we had hired them sooner. We were so worn out physically and emotionally before they started. And if we needed extra hours, it was a phone call and it happened. One of the caregivers, Maria Elva, was with us when my mother-in-law (95!) passed. Thank goodness because my sister and I would have not understood what was happening and what to do. Right at Home is a very reputable company with a great deal of integrity. I was very pleased with their services for my elderly mother who lives across the country from me. They are the real deal. Both Dan and Elaine (owners) are easily accessible and answered all questions thoroughly. I appreciated them going to assess my mother in less than 24 hours from my initial phone call and they had a caregiver in place in less than 48 hours due to an emergent situation of needed caregiving. They are rather flexible and very much willing to tailor the care plan to the patient's needs at the time, and change it as circumstances evolve. My mother's caregivers were reliable and very kind. I had the opportunity to spend some time with my mother and one of them. She was nothing but sweet and very patient with my mother.
