I called roger late of a Friday afternoon/evening and he called me back immediately. My a/c wasn't working properly, and he offered to either come out, or troubleshoot some quick fixes so I didn't have to pay a service fee. I contacted Rodger after reading positive reviews and because I needed help installing a 240 volt kiln at my house. We needed an additional 240 volt outlet installed and we also added a 120 Volt plug and there was no more room on our circuit breaker. He came by to take a look a day or two after I contacted him. After emailing me a detailed quote, he came back to do the job a few days later. When he came back to do the job, he showed up on time, pretty much got right to work, was friendly and professional and was done a few hours later. I contacted a number of electricians about installing a 240v outside plug for my electric car charger. Rodger responded quickly, gave me three different estimates depending on how I wanted to run the line from the breaker box in the back of my house to the front porch, and was available to do it the following week. He had no problem changing plans when it turned out I had chosen the wrong one. He had the installation done in a few hours and even came back free of charge the next day to fix a minor problem that had been caused by shifting the breakers around on the panel. This is my first negative review on yelp. Ever. Well-deserved. This business is not professional. They wasted my time and were not communicative. My experience with them makes me feel the other positive reviews are dishonest or at the minimum terribly misleading. Rodger came to do an estimate for a job at my house, which was great, though they did reschedule their visit, last minute, one time. That happens, i get it. But after they did come a day later and we spent a good amount of time (like 20-30 minutes maybe) and we discussed the work and his ideas, they failed to provide the written estimate that they said they would. I provided a detailed list of items i wanted; they took notes, Rodger committed to getting me info and an estimate by the following week. Then they became TOTALLY non responsive. I gave them a few days AFTER they said they would respond. I understand, businesses get busy and behind scheduled. So after probably a week after Rodger said he'd get me the info, I Yelp MESSAGED him, asking when he could have the info we discussed over to me. I wasn't a jerk, i was polite, just making the request, indicating my continued interest. No reply. OK, again, i get it, people get busy. But SEVERAL DAYS later, still no reply. So, i then TEXTED Rodger to his cell # a follow up request, conveying again that i was still interested and asked when i could get the estimate. NO REPLY. Totally unprofessional. And, now this is bugging me because he's wasting my time, holding up the work i want done. But, I am busy with life/work so more days pass, with still NO COMMUNICATION from RODGER whatsover. So, I follow up my Yelp mssge, and my text mssge, with a PHONE call. No answer. I leave a voice mail, politely asking for an ETA on an estimate, and that I am still interested. And guess what? NO REPLY. Not even a courtesy mssge or call saying "Sorry we've been really busy." Or, even...."we don't have time to take your job", which would have been at least some indication that this is a real business and has some commitment to customers. But NO. NOTHING. NO COMMUNICATION. Days and days have passed. I have work, family, life, like everyone else, extremely busy. So, I have not had the time to find another contractor and line up another estimate. BUT, THAT'S THE POINT!!!: THEY WASTED MY TIME. The work i need done?, remains undone. My only conclusion is that they are either too busy and failed to follow through; or, did not see a profit-margin worthy enough to do my job. Or a combo of the two. Irrespective, neither is acceptable, both are ridiculously unprofessional. I truly hope they respond to this email because this "business", and Rodger, who asserted his clients are often repeat customers who become like "friends", know that what i have written is 100% indisputable in its truth and the only honest reply would be an apology or an immediate response with the info they committed to providing. In this world of such negativity these days, i wish i wasn't compelled to write this. i just want the work done, and i thought Rodger would be a good choice. Nope. Just call this guy and book him. Don't even bother calling anyone else. Seriously. Rodger is so super nice and personable. He responded to my message within minutes and came the next day to have a look at our issue to give us a quote. He quoted us $70 less than the other guy who came before him. Once we finally ordered the part, he came back within a couple of days to have it installed. While he was here, he noticed that my husband had jerryrigged some lights in the garage and asked my husband if we wanted him to help us out in that area too. Such a great idea and so glad he pointed that out to us. He also took a look at one of our bedroom lights and tested it for free. I think Rodger is a one man show and he seems busy so you might have to be a little patient but he really does seem to care about making sure his clients are happy. My mom now wants to install security cameras and has a fridge that needs some fixing so Rodger will be our go-to guy from now on! read more
