I was so impressed by his thoughtfulness and kindness toward his ESL patients. I also found out that he volunteers his time to serve people in our community that may not be able to afford medical care. Dr. Howerton is an exceptional oral surgeon but also an outstanding human being. In addition to all of that, his lobby has to massage your back to chairs, chilled water bottles and a cure egg for his patients. They prescribed him an incredibly insufficient amount of pain medication and when we called to see about getting a correct amount, we were told that they couldn't because a woman took to many and almost died one time. At the time he wasn't my dentist but he was the rest of my family's dentist. Recently my dentist retired and Dr. Henke took me on as a patient. My daughter became a hygienist at Dr. Henke's practice. I have seen first hand how he treats his staff and patients! He has a great bedside manner. He is an excellent dentist and well respected in our community. His staff is wonderful. They are very caring, very professional and very accommodating. The overall all experience is like a well oiled machine. Stress free, clean, warm, friendly and knowledgeable in all aspects. I received a billing today from Corvallis Gentle Dental showing a past due balance from Albany Gentle Dental billing that I never received. I paid Corvallis Gentle Dental balance directly but will not be paying Albany but instead filing an appeal with my insurance company and a complaint through the Oregon Board of Dentistry for fraudulent charges. I requested a copy of the billing, do you think I received it? Nope ... I was told that it's difficult to get that information (as she searched through 'something' on her end). The billing I have is incomplete but after calling UHC regarding charges for that day they explained the billing and billing process and this billing will be addressed in writing to more than one, they are billing for charges they are NOT providing and even though I supposedly received a cleaning by the dentist himself I can promise you that is NOT a cleaning. Avoid this office at all costs.

This office is a nightmare! I'm a 17-year highly decorated veteran with multiple disabilities,…read morediseases, and medical/mental conditions. Dr. Kennedy refused to provide reasonable accommodation(s) for my disabilities as required per ADA and blatantly discriminated against me based upon my numerous disabilities etc., also major violations of state and federal laws. Peak refused to provide pre-operative pain management and control and again refused to provide a specific plan for treatment of post-operative pain management & control. Dr. broke additional laws by wrongfully instructing me to take more of my chronic pain medications, prescribed separately by my PCP for my severe spinal cord injuries, etc., for off label acute dental pain due to severe dental infections because he didn't want to prescribe narcotics for this ongoing severely acute dental infection pain. Due to Peak Dental's willful gross negligence, medical abuse & neglect, medical malpractice, & medical abandonment, I have now developed life threatening blood infection affecting my heart. There is absolutely no compassion with anyone at Peak Dental. They referred me to OHSU knowing that OHSU is not accepting any new patients even emergency patients. Instead of doing the right thing and performing the required oral surgery, Peak Dental (Dr. Kennedy) decided to dismiss me as a patient to just let me die from the life-threatening dental infection or commit suicide when my military service-related PTSD, depression, and extremely severe acute pain become just too much to endure. Wife plans to sue them all when I die. They lie and say they care for us veterans but in reality, they don't give a crap if we live or die as long as they make a profit and do as little as possible. AVOID this practice at all costs. I will be filing formal complaints and civil suits in the near future assuming I live long enough.
