They are very fast at prepping the food. We ordered 3 burritos and two Flautas and it took them 5 minutes. Reading some recent reviews, I was thinking I might get cold burritos. The burritos I got were warm. Flautas used to be my favorite but it's getting so expensive now ($4.95 each). The skin is not flaky either. Misleading advertisement of cali burrito, no guac included & not mentioned when ordering. A google search for a traditional Cali burrito would include either sour cream or guac which this place does not include. Fries were dark and soggy in the burrito indicating inappropriate cooking temperature or re-use of cooking oil. Highly disappointed with food quality. read more

If you're gonna make one taco eight dollars, it should be the best taco you've ever had in your life. This place is absolutely horrible, from the horrible service to the horrible food and overpriced. I'm convinced they know they don't have good food and price their items high because they are the only restaurant with a bathroom within a 10 mile radius. Rather than charge people $20 to use your bathroom make some decent food and price it at a decent point and people will enter your restaurant in droves. You're in San Diego where there's a huge Hispanic community as well as many people who enjoy Hispanic food. You don't need to have sleazy practices like charging eight dollars to use the bathroom to get people into your restaurant if it tastes good. Lol. read more

Used to be my favorite spot, 5 min from my house. No longer. Since around 2023 I hardly go anymore because of the staff changes. I would work late and always call ahead my pickup order, like 45 min to an hour BEFORE closing time. It worked great for all parties involved. Sometime around 2022 or 2023 they seem to have all new staff who just don't GAF. They literally won't even answer the phone within an hour of closing time, and even if you get there 30-40 min before, all the chairs are up with the floor mopped, salsa put away etc, which is fine, but they make you FEEL unwanted by their demeanor. Was starving and craving a California burrito and splurged on the loco (adds bacon) for $15 and change... Asked they guy what was in it, requested no guac, and he said no problem. Even my receipt had no guac. Very first bite was NOTHING BUT tortilla and a big slimy pile of BROWNED guac with RAW ONIONS in it. Will never return, I'm done. It's just as well, I'm probably no longer allowed in their establishment after I rapidly disassembled it onto their floor. After paying $15 for a burrito, I'm not asking them to remake just to have them rub their nuts on it or add special sauce if you catch my drift. read more

Beautiful day (hot) in Poway. Wow, this place was rocking with laborers who were waiting on their order(s) Lots of tables to sit at, plenty of parking and a clean bathroom. Cashier was very friendly and sincere. My 2 crispy beef taco plate was ready with in 5 minutes. Stopped by for a quick bite. 3 rolled tacos with sour cream and cheese. It came out with guac. Not mad, but the meat was ice cold. Returned it and the guy said sorry and brought out the rolled tacos with SOUR CREAM. Ice cold meat AGAIN. Told him it was cold, dumped it and took an L. Eat at your own risk. read more

Not worth $13.50 for a carne asada burrito with tax $14.55. They keep raising prices and the quality of the food keeps getting worst and worst . You know how a taco shop burrito won't be good? When it's ready 90 seconds after you pay. That means they were steaming the carne asada and it's not hot off the grill fresh that always takes a lot longer. I've now had this Carne Asada twice- once on Super Nachos and once in the Robertito Breakfast Burrito. Both times it was excellent- moist, marinated(?) perfectly seasoned and almost zero gristle. I'm picky, but this may be the best Asada in Poway. But boy do you pay for the privilege! $11.25 for the burrito now plus 50 cents for your debit card, so be sure to bring CASH. Thief's. Multiple times they've attempted to steal from me or someone I know. Example 1: tried to tell me my order was over $40. When I did the math based on menu prices it was around $20. When I called him out, he simply apologized and said it was a mistake. Example 2: gave my mom a total of 17.95 and tried to not give her the change. Again, apologized said a mistake. Example 3: charged me almost $18 for a burrito. Went back to the menu to check price and was under $13. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS. They are dishonest and steal money from customers. read more

Stopped by here while I was going to Poway Lake. The Carne Asada Fries are huge, good for 2-3 people for sure. The carne asada meat was nicely seasoned and it comes with a good amount of homemade guacamole, not the fake stuff! The fries could of been cooked a little bit more for that crispness but they were still good otherwise. The 5 rolled tacos were nice and crunchy and the beef inside wasn't dry and they have the shredded lettuce on top which I personally love on my rolled tacos. The inside is huge with lots of seating, the salsa bar has a lot of different sauces. Overall I had a pretty good experience here for my first time. I'll be back to try other things when I'm in the area. read more

After a hike in the Cleveland NF nearby, we were in the mood for some Mexican food but nothing that may give us the run on the long drive home, so decided upon Rigoberto's. The fish burrito was crispy, juicy, just as I remember. The California burrito "hit the spot", verbatim the SO. The "medium" salsa was sooooooo not medium.. put mouths were burning... I could understand if we had ordered two California burritos but we had one and a bean and cheese burrito...once we received the burritos, we split the two so we could each try both of the burritos. The bean and cheese had very little substance or maybe the beans were liquidy. The California burrito had very little french fries which made it seem like it was a carne asada burrito they realized need a couple of French fries. Came here on a Sunday and the place wasn't packed. The food came out really fast. They have a salsa bar with the usual condiments. Tried the California and the carne asada burritos. They were large and filling, no skimping on the meat indeed. The tortilla was soft and good. My only complaint is that the burritos were salty. But I know the average American likes their food more salty. I would come back but maybe ask if they could lower the salt next time. read more
