Cook was not wearing a mask when I came I to pick up my food, so I told the cashier and when he turned back to tell the cook to fix it (it was hanging on his chin) the cook gave me a threatening look, just fixed his eyes on me and purposely kept his mask on his chin, definitely trying to intimidate me. Food is good, but it's an absolute shame that they cannot EVER get the order correct. If you tell them vegetarian, you will get meat. If you tell them no sour cream, you will get home only to find your food is loaded with sour cream. This place is so legit. We came here after a long hike in Ramona and was pleasantly surprised to see they were finally open for a sit down dining (6 feet apart). Must wear a mask when ordering food. I have been to several of their other locations and thought their food was just ok. I ordered 3 rolled tacos with cheese and a regular beef taco. The rolled tacos are bigger than most other tacos shops. It comes with a lot of cheese. The regular taco are also a little bigger. It was ok. The beef was ok, a little on the dry side. Usually if I let a taco sit to long or I do not eat fast enough, the juices from the beef soften up the taco shell making it harder to eat. Not in this case. They have 5 different salsas available. The three I tried were pretty good. Not to much flavor and not to spicy. Overall a very decent place to eat Mexican food. Staff is friendly and they have free refills on soda. read more

First off, I'm really sad and upset that I even have to write this. This review is part of a two night combined experience. Last night I ordered carne asada flying saucer and a can of soda. It came with heaps of carne asada and guacamole, and was $11 and some change, out the door. I saw the sign about raised prices on the carne asada. No big deal. This afternoon on my way to work, I call and place an order for three carne asada street mini tacos. The woman on the phone says 5-10 minutes they'll be ready. No total price, and no formal call ending. I get there about 5 minutes later, and adding an almost $2 can of soda, my order totaled out to $17. For three mini street tacos that literally was just tortilla, carne and pico! Their reasoning for three tiny street tacos and a can of soda being $17 and some change? "Carne prices went up". I can understand adjusting prices as needed, but that meant each tiny mini taco was at least $5/piece. For a tiny tortilla, a scoop of carne, with a dash of pico. I told the guy at the register I was just there last night, had a flying saucer that was packed with carne and guacamole, and had a can of soda, and it a little over $11. Then, another employee looked at me and in a very rude voice said that carne asada prices went up. What a joke this place is. Had the woman on the phone told me a price when I first placed my order, I would have canceled it. Now, with four employees behind the register gleaming at me like I was the one who messed up, I told them I'm not paying for that, and walked out. Never in my life had I had to do that! That was straight price gouging; there was no way carne went up drastically overnight. Mind you, this was after for weeks, I'd order mini tacos, continuously, only to find out the regular tacos had three times the meat and came with guacamole, for only a dollar more a piece. Never once did an employer suggest ordering a regular taco to get more of my money's worth. You know, since I was a repeat loyal customer. Shame on me for giving them another chance. I wouldn't eat a crumb of their food, even if I was dying of starvation. The staff is extremely rude, always on their phone, their bathrooms are absolutely disgusting, and they always have flies buzzing around. Save yourself the headache and stomach ache and support businesses that actually appreciate their customers. I hope this restaurant fades away as quickly as it popped up- overnight. read more

You have good food but not different from any other taco shop and there are many taco shops in the poway area. We have been going there regularly and for you to complain to my brother that he took too many little cups of salsa for the rolled tacos he was bringing me. I can easily use 3 salsas for 1 taco. I grew up eating Mexican food and we like salsa. But you charged my brother $2.00 for the salsa he brought me for my rolled tacos, I told him he should not have paid it and give you back some of the salsa if you want to complain. Just trying out this burrito place since is close and wanted to see if it was worth coming on a regular. The burritos were okay, not good, not great. Chicken burrito was on the smaller side and although the veggie burrito was big, it was stuffed with a bunch lettuce. Veggie burrito was fairly priced but the chicken burrito was definitely over priced at over 9 dollars. If the burrito was bigger I guess I wouldn't have minded the higher price...maybe. Ok so I am generally tired of Mexican food and this place added to my experience when it comes to taco shops that I've never been too. My team was working in the area last week and was told to try this place out. I ordered the carnitas soft tacos. They were over cooked and charcoal. And for the price they charge for the tacos, the portion size was awful and it was mostly onions and cilantro. My other teammate took a bite of her rolled tacos and found out they were ground beef, not shredded beef. She kindly took them to the counter to advise the lady that she wanted shredded beef and the lady was rude and would not exchange them. She basically didn't care and said that my co worker should have asked for shredded beef. EXCUSE ME. but as the employee, anytime someone orders something, unless it's posted, should ask the customer "would you like shredded or ground beef" and not assume that EVERYONE knows how they're served. Was the lady behind the counter having a bad day? NOT AN EXCUSE, she should have apologized and remade the tacos the way she wanted them. Not everyone wants the dog food tacos. My other two co workers didn't finish their meals either or take them home to eat later. This place needs to go to El Ranchito in Poway off Midland and Poway road and get lessons on customer service, prices, and food portions. I feel that all taco shops need to have not only in the menu but with the staff to ask what the customer would like and not assume. Maybe the ground beef tacos are cheaper? The guacamole had good flavor and the cheese was a good blend of cheddar and cotija. The salsa bar was well stocked and I chose a traditional red(hot) sauce and chunky mild salsa. I had a terrible experience there recently. I have a chronic condition that requires me to use the bathroom urgently. I went to ask if I could use the restroom even though I saw the "restrooms are for customers only" sign. The cashier explained that it's for customers only. I asked her kindly without raising my voice that I have Crohn's disease and she told me that it didn't matter and that I needed to buy something. I tried to show her mychart app where it states from UCSD that I do definitely have chrons disease. She said she didn't need to see it. I told her that California Law states that she needs to allow me to use the restroom. She refused and said she could refuse service to anyone and that I needed to leave. I asked for the managers number and she said she wouldn't give me the number but her name was Maggie and that I could come hunt her down in the morning. I told her I didn't want to hunt anyone down and I left. I used to go to Rigoberto's all the time but now, I will avoid at all cost especially if I have to use the restroom. read more
