I wasn't planning on getting anything, but something about this charming boutique was very welcoming and saw few items that were reasonably priced and wouldn't hurt my pocket. I was there on the 23rd of this month around 2pm. Walked in and Diana was very helpful, kind and sweet. She is the owner of this pretty boutique. Saw few things that caught my eye that I really didn't need, but wanted since they were affordable and would look nice on me. They sell things like hats, scarfs, clothes/shoes, accessories, jewelry and it was a bit cramped up, but didn't bother me at all. Bought me couple of scarfs, a nice necklace, and 4 different types of earrings. Love earrings. That is my favorite jewelry. Store was very clean, employees were helpful and nice, don't know if they have a restroom or not and a street/residential & meter parking only.

This shop does not stay quiet for long. The shop owner is so friendly, chatty, and seems to have a great relationship with all of her customers. It wasn't long before I heard roars of laughter from beyond the curtain as I tried on clothes. When I peaked out I was welcomed with compliments on my clothes and a wave of positivity. The energy that bounces off the walls of this shop is contagious and uplifting. I recommend browsing through this shop and finding an item and a story to leave with.

My husband and I were absolutely devastated when we heard the news that Lauri Carleton was murdered simply because she hung a Pride flag outside of her store; I liked to jump to touch it when we would shop here or at the nearby hardware store. We went to pay our respects and the store had a large bucket of small Pride flags out front for anyone to take, which we did. We placed one in a prominent place at the entrance to our garden, and the other at the rose bush that we dedicated to Laurie which is named "Love and Peace". It is important to support small businesses everywhere, and to all visitors I encourage you to please visit Mag Pi and enjoy the essence of our mountain community. Lauri's legacy will live on in our hearts.

I replied "no, and I guess you think you own the parking lot?" She just looked at me as I barely had one leg out, removing my keys from the ignition and walking around the other side to open the door for my aunt. So my aunt and I decided to not go in to shop since she was so aggressively rude. Her business is to help us once we get in the store. So on purpose I stalled pretending to do other things. Then we noticed she had signs taped to wooden chairs with long paragraphs. I read "don't pretend to park here while on your phone" etc. Just so everyone knows in order for a commercial business to have a vehicle towed away it must be parked there for one (1) hour. So the hood of the car should be cold. When renting commercial space you cannot dictate which parking spaces are allowed to be used for your business unless it's a residential complex and tenants are assigned parking spaces. So to Parking Lot Betty, please take those signs down and calm down my dear. My aunt was here visiting from San Francisco and we were shopping for a wedding. So with your rude and very aggressive attitude you lost a potential customer.

It is by far a better choice than the mega retailers. But here is an even more amazing concept: when the local business in question that is helped by the community also helps the community in turn and/or nonprofits. Now, THAT is the most splendid symbiotic relationship that could ever be conceived! This is exactly what is happening at Burbank's very own Studio Hope. Allow me to explain... Studio Hope is a combination thrift store/vintage store/antique store/gift shop at the Hollywood Way/Clark intersection not far from the Magnolia Park area of Burbank where these stores are a dime a dozen. However, Studio Hope stands out not only because it is located a few blocks away; but also because it is a business created to 'do good'. Owned and operated by Lori and Dean, a husband-and-wife team both suffering with kidney/renal issues; this dynamic duo initially founded (1) a kidney nonprofit that helps adults/families/children suffering from renal conditions and (2) an animal nonprofit to help orphaned pets find forever homes. In turn, they founded Studio Hope which rather than operate for a profit; revenues help fund the two non-profits. So, if you shop at Studio Hope you are supporting charities versus a billion-dollar company AND the local economy! The local buzz has been raving about Studio Hope but I wasn't able to check them out until the end of 2025 when bringing them my end-of-year donations (they accept donations and offer a receipt for your tax deductions). I was absolutely enthralled the moment I walked into the shop with its vintage/antique vibe and art collective. This place is less thrift store and more vintage - in the best way possible. Studio Hope offers amazing clothing (some modern and the BEST vintage finds!), purses, jewelry, shoes, housewares and furniture, trinkets, art, etc. Studio Hope isn't just a store: it is an experience and is heaven for lovers of all things vintage and antique. You would expect that these top-tier wares being sold at Studio Hope would fetch a pretty penny due to their own worth alone plus needing to be relatively comparative to competitors. Wrong! I was shocked to find some crush-worthy vintage at affordable prices and I am poor so my judgement can be trusted! Dean and Lori's Studio Hope does not screw patrons over. During my visit in which I purchased an adorable enamel ice cream cone pin; I successfully made a clothing donation and was thanked profusely while also being introduced to Lori. Lori is a doll: friendly, inclusive, conversational, humble and obviously appreciates each and every customer. This truly 'sells' the business even more making one want to return to Studio Hope. Studio Hope is also 'cool' as they work with the local film studios and host events like "Bridgerton" viewing parties. They also utilize their store for work with their charities such as the 'prom' they put on for the teens part of their kidney nonprofit allowing them to choose among the store's gowns. Studio Hope is truly compassionate. My only complaint is that it is street-meter parking only which is a bit annoying when schlepping donations and unable to catch a close meter but Studio Hope is worth contending with this 'grievance'. If you love vintage/antiques AND want to feel good about where your dollar ends up then Studio Hope is for you and an absolute must-visit! Make sure to hi to Lori!

There is a nice grouping of eclectic items and you can pretty much find something for anyone and lots for yourself. I met the owner one of the times I went and she was super nice and helpful. The prices are just right. Not too high, not too low. There aren't too many small businesses left these days and I think it's really important to try to support them if we can so if you are reading this and considering a shopping trip- SHOP HERE.
