The quality is unparalleled, but hands down I fell in love with the Vixen shop because of their sweet, lovely shop manager, Lisa. She is so warm and welcoming - has gone above and beyond to help me find the right size and encourage me to try new styles. She is absolutely the sweetest. I'd say I'm going to miss her, BUT I heard they will be opening a new store for their sister brand, La Femme En Noir, that Lisa will also run. Let me just say: she BETTER! To me, she is as iconic to the brand as Micheline herself! These gorgeous clothes will surely be missed, but I'm truly hopeful that the closing of the Vixen brand, will be an expansion of LFEN. It has absolutely been a beautiful experience while it's lasted, and thanks to the incredible workmanship of the Vixen brand, I am confident I will continue to enjoy my amazing frocks for years and years to come. There is so much to see here that I spent my entire first afternoon in the store. I got to chatting with the wonderful ladies who work there. I tried on some amazing pieces that didn't all work. But if I'd only been a little skinnier and with narrower shoulders, I would have walked out with some amazing pieces. The jewelry section is almost overwhelming. I got some really cool accoutrements. The building is absolutely stunning. I also appreciated the packaging. This is just the kind of store I could spend hours and hours in and keep coming back for more. And hopefully, I will be!

I had brought a blouse up to the counter that I noticed was priced as a 2 piece set , but there was no second piece attached to the hanger. I asked the woman at the counter if they knew where it was as I would've gladly preferred the set. She went over to ask the owner and when she came back she said they couldn't sell it until they located the second piece as it was a set. (It was priced as $88) which would've been too high to purchase as a single item anyway. Then she said something that we found completely appalling "unless we don't find the missing piece , you can purchase the top alone for $100) excuse me?? How does that make sense-- it's missing the pantsuit so you want to overcharge me? When we asked how they thought that was fair , she responded with "well it's a really RARE item" and we said it WAS RARE now how do you manage to mark up the price when it's missing the set ?? We both LAUGHED and She said "I'm sorry you feel that way" the audacity of them having a sign outside their shop that reads about supporting community when they demonstrate bad business practices such as this. We thought about putting all of our items back because we thought that was ludicrous on their part. But , we did spend so much time there .. in the end my friend put back a couple items she had planned on purchasing because she was so shocked that they thought that would fly with us ... Just calling something "RARE" does not excuse marking something up on the spot especially after the fact it's actually worth less now that we know it's actually missing a piece. Smh. Because of this we both won't be returning. There are plenty of beautifully curated vintage shops elsewhere who don't have bad business practice. When it was finally my turn, the associate helping me was polite and doing everything right. While she was processing my return, the phone rang. The manager -- who was standing right by the register doing nothing -- repeatedly told the associate to pick up the phone. The associate answered, put the caller on a brief hold, and continued helping me. Then the manager said, "Why didn't you just answer them? Maybe their question was quick." I couldn't believe it. The associate was actively helping a customer -- me -- and the manager expected her to drop everything instead of answering the phone herself. I asked the associate if that was her manager, and she said yes. I didn't catch the manager's name, but with my receipt and the timestamp, it'll be easy to figure out who was working that shift -- and I fully plan to call corporate to file a complaint. My transaction took less than a minute. The manager could have easily picked up the phone instead of making her employee juggle two customers at once. It was disrespectful to both the employee and the customer, and it ruined what should've been a quick, simple visit. This location seriously needs better leadership.
