This store is combined with the Mystic Museum and consists of multiple rooms, with some interactive exhibits in the store itself so visitors can engage with these experiences without buying a ticket to the actual museum on site (though I recommend checking out the museum too). Definitely a cool store if you like oddities, macabre, and some spooky goodies. I came in with some friends and we browsed around the store for a good while as there is a lot to see. If you are into horror and such this is definitely a spot you would like. There are a variety of items to purchase here. Some are more run of the mill mass produced items like candles, purses, slippers, books and such. While other items were clearly thrifted and one of a kind or vintage. Very neat to have that kind of a variety. For example you can get a $20 skill candle or a $400 old operating table. See what I mean? It's definitely a great store to browse around. I easily spent 20 minutes just looking between their three rooms. The reason I did dock one star though is that while it was fun to browse, it's not necessarily my kind of merch. To each their own. Even more so I did find some of the prices to be a little high, maybe it's just me. One example I could give was I found a pretty simple necklace with a bat and heart that I've literally seen a hundred times over at Claire's. That necklace easily is about $7 or so, but here they were selling it for $35. I get they need to make a profit but the quality wasn't there and it was giving child's costume jewelry at a more expensive price. Surely they need to make the rent and knowing that a lot of people who come in are more so "just looking around" it makes sense prices need to be adjusted. A final positive to end on a good note is that the staff are absolutely lovely here. There were multiple staff working which I appreciated. Everyone was very very nice and welcoming. This has to definitely be my go to spot. Everything I absolutely love and enjoy to see all in one place! They have everything I could possibly dream of !!! I love that it's combined with the other two stores and they are always getting new things , and the staff have always been so nice and helpful:) this is my favorite place to be!!!!! Totally weird type of shop in a good way located in Burbank. If you like to look at strange and uncommon things, then this place is perfect. Plenty of odds and ends from memorabilia from horror movies, old medical bottles and devices. Just some really neat stuff. They also sell candles, herbs, clothing. A bit of everything. AN ABSOLUTELY MUST DO! It's great to come to The Bearded Lady Vintage & Oddities Shop & the adjacent Mystic Museum anytime. Halloween time here however takes on a special eerie vibe. They take it to the next level. This store is a favorite shopping haunt of none other than Elvira Mistress of the Dark from TV. There are all kinds of unique items in here that you won't find in too many places. They have books, games, videos, jewelry, shoes, toys , mystical, occult, Movie Merch & lots more. They have their own line of T Shirts too. You have to scope out every inch of this place. You might miss out on some really unusual items. There is so much Creepy Crawly Cool stuff in here. The decorations, statues, & motif are really great. If you are a Sci Fi, Horror & Movie Fan you will go kind of bonkers in here. This is a great place to put you in the Halloween mood in the autumn months. They also have a Physic & Tarot Card reader in here. They now have 2 Museums you can visit The Slasher that's located in the back & a Toy Museum with a Horror edge down the block. They'll be open until Christmas. The museums are small & $15 & $5 more for interactive. I didn't visit the museums so I can't comment on them. Next time I come here, I'll have to check them out. I ended up buying 2 T shirts. There's Free street parking all around the neighborhood. To make it worth your trip, you've got to check out 2 really cool Halloween Houses in the area. One is at the end of the street called The Clown House with all kinds of oversized deranged clowns @ 715 N Ontario in Burbank. THIS PLACE IS AWESOME! The other is a few blocks away on 3600 Clark St. You have to tune in to 99.1 & listen while you visit. The Clark St. address also puts on a great Christmas display too. I was overcome with excitement and enthusiasm when I set foot into this fine establishment. My bf had to look me in the eyes and tell me to calm down. What a truly Fantastic place. When in Burbank, California a must to go to and shop. A unique oddity store. I'm always in awe of what I find in this store. Beautiful, unusual items that I never knew that I needed. I have purchased a magnificent White Rabbit that looks like it's straight out of Alice in Wonderland. So detailed, and Alice in Wonderland Book is the base. My reboot is dressed, holding a trumpet. There is a pocket watch. One of my favorite pieces. Many scientific books, instruments, Art, Jewelry, tee shirts, purses, occult, and sometimes a tarot card reader. The owners and staff are great! Add this location and their new Mystic Museum to your entertainment when you have guests coming into town. You will leave with a smile.plenty of parking. Went out to Burbank to go thrift store shopping with the boyfriend. We came upon this place and was like ok let's try it out. It's tiny inside, lots of unique vintage items, but there is some morbid stuff in here as well. Think taxidermy but with a creative edge to it, dead animals dressed up on every corner in the shop. That's the only thing I saw as off putting as I was looking for some vintage finds. We did happen to find a sign for 5$ in there, but overall they are a but pricy ! read more

If you like anything vintage or unusual Bearded Lady is the joint to check out. The shop looks like a former residence turned into  a mini museum with each room neatly packed with little treaures. The owner was super friendly and polite to me. I had my little Lucy with me and he didn't seem to mind like in other places, as if she was going to break or touch anything. He asked if I needed help with anything and encouraged me to look around and take my time. I spent a good 40 minutes just browsing and loved it all! You can pick up inexpensive pins and prints that all fit in the macabre theme; as well as Toxic Toons Valentine's Day cards. From the taxidermy creations to a mermaid skeleton, and vintage medical tools, that look like torture devices, this spot has it all. Check it out if you are in the area. I was looking for something in particular at the museum and they sent me over to their vintage and oddities shop. There was all kinds of stuff! A real treat if you are into just that - oddities. Lots and lots of vintage stuff! The staff is so passionate about their store and their items and they are willing to talk to you about anything. They also have a fabulous online shop if you can't go in store. I love that they attend events all over the orange county area so I can keep up with their latest finds! read more

Antiquing has changed drastically since your grandmother used to drag you away on a hot, summer day to a musty, strange shop with what you deciphered to be filled with "crap". These stores with "old" shop clerks who mussed with your hair are now replaced with inked hipsters, cats who roam the stores, and store fronts which scream, "Instagram Facebook picture!". Don't believe me that this is the world of vintage in 2013? Then you haven't been to Bearded Lady Vintage. It isn't a surprise that you have missed this store, as it just opened a month ago (at the time of this review) according to Kiko, the female half the boyfriend/girlfriend or husband/wife (whatever they are) owners. However, you can't miss it on Magnolia Blvd where it sticks out even amongst the many vintage and antique shops due to its bright pink color and accents which make it look like a carnival side show (signage, font, etc). Although the store (which looks sort of like a house) is tiny, and I mean TINY, it has such a great vibe straight off the cover of an indie-folk album. Like the real estate size of the shop, the goods are limited. Don't expect to find a ton of wares. However, what they do have spans a variety of categories: record players, old cameras, jewelry, instruments, a couple shirts, furniture, decorations, old soda bottles, games, cookware, and even tools. Basically, Bearded Lady Vintage has taken out the guesswork of searching for the "cool stuff" and put it all in one place. I was also impressed by the creativity in their displays such as putting old cookie cutters in a retro fridge versus just on a table or shelf. Bearded Lady Vintage is art in itself. The only negative in regards to the products were the prices. They were a bit high and some of these I can find on Etsy, Ebay, and Goodwill for far less. On the opposite end, this is the real deal vintage/antiques. As people who read my vintage list know: I HATE stores who call their vintage-inspired good 'vintage' but Bearded Lady Vintage passes my test. Kiko was very welcoming, instantly saying hi, explaining the store, hours, Facebook, handing out a business card, etc. It was the opposite of the some of the fellow Burbank local businesses which don't give the community vibe even though they are not corporate. Erick was also there and said a quick "hey" but he didn't seem to much into customer service. I see in reviews and pictures that there was a photo booth and cats in the shop. I didn't see either of these but I do plan to show this store to others so maybe I will experience this on my next visit. Bearded Lady Vintage is quite simply adorable and a hipster's dream store. This is a special new vintage shop on Magnolia Blvd. with a well-curated selection of whimsical vintage items. I had driven by a few times and made a mental note to stop in, then I saw a post on Magnolia Park's Facebook mentioning them so I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon. I was greeted by two adorable kitties- bonus! The shop is like a little house, the store owners were both friendly and offered help. They have a nice mix of everything from a Johnny Cash 8 Track, vintage cocktail rings (I bought one for $10), old comic books (I found an awesome Mickey Mouse one for $5!), scarves, books, games, kitty figurines, and other fun items. Wonderful little establishment that has recently opened. Owned by very nice people, super friendly and helpful. My husband and I were in town visiting my parents. He wanted to visit this place since he saw it online. It's such a gem!! They have a great selection of goodies. BUT I was able to get something for my tiny collection in regards to antique medicine bottles with illegal, by today's standards, ingredients. Today's find & purchase was a bottle of mercury with product still in the bottle! Wow, this shop has a pretty solid selection at what I'd call reasonable prices. Vintage items can be tricky and you can end up with a lot of junk, but NOT HERE. It really feels like handpicked items rather than mass ordered crap. The owners seem really nice and seem to pay attention to what you're actually looking for, rather than just trying to push stuff on you. You can tell they actually care about the business and the idea of bringing good vintage items back to life. I'll be back for sure. Not sure what happened. On a previous visit my girlfriend and I had shown interest in a wonderful mouse diorama lamp. Which we found out was created by Eric, one of the owners. Today we came in and were planning on leaving with the lamp as well as a cute taxidermy bunny. Well, today wasn't the day. I inquired about the diorama and that's as far as it went. Don't think today was a big customer service day. It's to bad too. This item definitely needs a special owner. And I think we're those people. Maybe we'll try again in a couple weeks. Cute little shop, nice owners, slightly to moderately overpriced. Quirky but modest selection of vintage goods and oddities. I did see a few good deals while I was there, a creepy vintage plush Santa for $15, and a vintage plastic and faux fur kitty in a dressing gown for $12. A few of the vintage figurines however you'll just as likely find for a third of the price across the street at American Way Thrift Store. Definitely worth a browse though, I just wish it didn't smell so strongly of cat pee or I would have stayed longer. My advice would be for them to stock up on white linen scented candles, it'll cover that ammonia smell right up. read more

Love love love. Today was my first visit. I was looking for something interesting to use as a planter. I didn't find what I was looking for, but I still walked away with an amazingly creepy doll head with a dome display, and some cool vintage photos of creepy nuns. Two hours later, I found myself back at the store to pick up beautiful piece of art that I had talked myself out of the first trip. I couldn't live without it so I went back for seconds and got it. They have a great collection and there is more I would like to have if only I had the space to put everything on my wish list. This store has quickly become one of my favorites. The shop has tons of personality and seems to expand and change with each visit. There's never a shortage of interesting, vintage curiosities from old books and magazines to vintage clothing, toys, collectibles, typewriters, cameras, medical equipment, vinyl records, kitchen accessories, jewelry, and much more. They've recently opened their taxidermy room as well which is full of fascinating pieces. This shop has a little bit of everything and Kiko and Erick are always lovely and willing to work with you, whether it be for a specific group of items or just some good conversation.
