Now they seem to have changed employees and dentist. We have appointments for a reason now they take their sweet time. Talk so much! We need to get the work done, we are not here to socialize. They have a new international software Dentrix Ascend which you have to fill out! It wants to know your primary medical insurance information and your SS#, and just about everything regarding your privacy! Imagine if this international software company gets hacked all your information is gone! I personally don't take that risk. on top of it a Specialist pulls the teeth, and tells you, without ever have seen you, that you need a bone graft. And of course, what has cost maybe $400 is now $4000! I said I don't want implants so I don't need a bone graft. The answer was, what the specialist says has to be done! Both I and my family have been going to Dr. Riley for the last 30 years, and unfortunately this office has gone from extraordinary to horrible . The dentists and technicians themselves are great, and do a wonderful job, but the front office is totally incompetent. Ever since Dr. Riley retired and went into a partnership with Solanski, that office is a mess. Pat, Denise, Caroline and others were the true professionals and experts in that office. During the past several visits, we have either been denied to even have a sitting, unless we pay for all services, including those that will be covered by the insurance, or we have been billed twice for the same service. In this latter case, only after questioning it, did they take responsibility. received a bill from them last month 7/11 saying I owed over $2500. The bill along with an envelope was ready for me to send in with my money, of course, but I waited purposely and called a month later to ask for my balance. Of course it had changed. The July bill was from work done almost a year ago, which the insurance company had paid for in great part but was not deducted from the billing balance, here. They tried to pass on the blame to a third party company that does their billing, but obviously they bill us based on the information they get from the dentist office. I have continued to go to this dentist out of loyalty to Dr. Riley, but I no longer trust their competency. I see how money has become their only concern, and I've become suspicious. It's truly unfortunate because Dr. Riley and his father worked hard to make this a family practice for their patients. As of now, I still have not gotten a return call from their in-office billing person and I don't expect to either. read more

I have been a patient here for 12 years, but after my visit today, I will never step foot in that office. I walked in for my appointment and had to fill out a ton of electronic paperwork, including past dental history. Did i mention i was a patient here for 12 years?? Why would i need to fill out my history? They should already have it. I finally was called in for my cleaning, and it was the WORST experience my life. The "dentist" who performed the cleaning didn't bother to look at my chart and acted as if I were a new patient. She said I had recession due to the invisalign I had, I had to tell her that my recession has been ongoing for 20+ years and she just ignored me. She was so rough during my cleaning it felt like she was slicing my gums with razors. When I told her it was painful, she acted as if I was being sensitive. There is a new hygenist with the worst bedside manner. She leaned on me quite a bit, stood during the procedure, bumped into everything in the room, and literally would drop the suction devise on my chest. She didn't even offer a cup for rinsing. I am appalled. I almost asked her to stop and let me leave. I find this extremely unprofessional. I will not be returning to Riley dental. After more than 20 years, so sad. She doesn't come to close to Margie, which is an most wonderful and extremely competent hygenist. read more

Terrible customer service! I was a patient before the system and staff changed, and the quality of care drastically changed. Office staff, specifically the manager Grace, was extremely rude and condescending when requesting assistance. I was never informed that my doctor left. The doctor who saw me for the day didn't even bother to read my chart or patient history, making assumptions and asking questions that were all answered in my chart. They used to serve patients promptly, and no dentists are ever available and do not communicate with you when there are changes to your appointment. Not to mention their new method for intake forms where they use iPads that save your personal data which is a huge HIPPA violation. The doctor also added notes to my chart that do not reflect accurate services received, which continue to cause issues when trying to get care at other facilities. Definitely recommend going to another dentist in the area. read more

They overcharge if you have insurance. They like to give an "estimate" of what your portion is after your insurance pays. You go in after they tell you it's $20 but they charge $100 more. Then you ask ahead of time on your next visit but rude receptionist named Karina will get an attitude with you when you're trying to get it in writing. So nice at first but as soon as you say email it she gives you an attitude. I had to call her out on it. Watch out! Get it in writing before you go! Don't be surprise if she then gets sassy. read more

They have been gentle with me despite how much I fought them on my very first visit, through routine cleanups, wisdom teeth removals, and fillings. The team of dentist are great, but the people in the front desk , they need to get an extensive training with insurance. They just assume the patient has HMO without even calling the dental insurance they went ahead and sold an insurance that they sell in the office to my mother without even calling her Insurance and medical insurance is HMO but her dentist is PPO. They just assume that both Dentist and Medical was HMO they should have taken the time to call To Verify, what they did, it was sold them one of their insurance in the office, which is really sad because my mother is a elderly person. She doesn't know any better. As a matter fact, the individual never made a call just assume by looking at the health insurance card that both were HMO. Ever since the practice was sold from Paul Riley to a new group of dentist this office is gone from 100 to 42% I continued to go there , the team of dentist is ok and it's only 1 mile from my residence . it's convenient it's only about not even a mile from my residence and the team of dentists. Are okay, who ever is charge of this front desk employee they need to train This employees. It's not fair for the patients that they pay out-of-pocket and then someone discovers like a family member that they have paid out-of-pocket when they could've charged insurance. I started with Riley Dental Group back in April. I neglected my teeth for so long that I needed some serious work done (Obviously all my fault). I was prepared financially and mentally to do just that. They are very friendly however extremely unprofessional. They gladly took my money as well as my insurance money but would never call me back. After 6 visits, I was finally able to see the periodontist who reassured me that I have options and that he does this all the time. He walked me to the receptionist desk and said he would be sending the options over that day. That was on June 28th. By July 7th we still did not have any options. My wife called and they told her the periodontist was out on vacation until July 18th. So we waited again and July 18th came and went with no phone call. My wife called back and they said they were sorry and would be sending something over immediately. That never happened either. My wife called back again and sent e-mails and we finally received our options on July 25th over a month later. The e-mail said attached are two options. No other explanation on the e-mail. Both of the options looked identical in pricing and line items. So we replied to the e-mail asking if someone would help us and explain what the two options are. No one replied. We sent another e-mail a couple of days later and that was ignored too. I don't understand why they didn't want my money but I wish they had just come out and said it instead of wasting all of this time. Now here I am 4 months later in the same boat having to start all over with another dentist. I'm not sure why this happened to me but had to vent so hopefully someone else can save themselves the money and time by not going to them. In my opinion, they are thieves!!! read more

Great staff with an awesome sense of humor!! Been looking for a new dentist since I came back home, and I'm glad my research led me to this place. The parking lot is limited, but there is usually parking available on the street. Just be cautious of parking signs that may limit your time. already had a treatment plan in mind that started with checking for cavities to wanting a teeth whitening, and they quickly accommodated me. My last experience was with Army Dentist, so naturally we joke around a lot, and the Dentist at they assigned me at Riley was awesome just like an Army Dentist. I teased her about being a Bruins fan, and she made jokes back. Go Trojans!! The office seems to be constantly busy, so when I had to reschedule my appointments, I almost had to push them out into the END of the following month. They did find some openings for me though, and got me something in the 2nd week of that month. They did put in effort as to not make me wait to long, but still helped me reschedule so it wouldn't conflict with my schedule. Thanks, Riley Dental! And the Tech who did my cleaning was just as awesome as my Dentist. I personally like the side chats & the Tech definitely kept me entertained with many different topics. Unless I move, I'll be a returning client for sure. I didn't do 5 stars because there is always room for improvement. And 5 stars means nothing is wrong with this place. And I know how parking alone can create road rage. LoL!! read more
