Indeed I had a gnarly cavity and infection. She took me in even though I never visited before and she made a very painful and excruciating time for me as easy as possible. One small thing she does that really helps is that she always asks if something she does hurts. Its a small gesture l, but to someone whose always been afraid of the dentist it means the world. Its thanks to her that Im not so afraid of the Dentist now. I wish I could comment on price but Ive got insurance through Delta Dental. But Id definetly give her a shot as she is definetly the best in San Fernando. She's moved into a new place, and although it doesnt look like much from the outside, the inside is pretty comfortable.

During my visits, I felt like my concerns weren't properly addressed. The dentist seemed rushed and was frequently in and out of the 'room', which made it difficult to ask questions or have a meaningful conversation about my concerns. The few questions I did manage to ask weren't clearly answered, and I left feeling like some fairly basic concerns weren't properly explained. After a very quick look, I was told everything was "fine," but my main reason for coming in--ongoing mouth pain was never actually discussed or evaluated. Because the appointment felt so rushed and focused mainly on X-rays and cavities, I ended up leaving without addressing the issue that brought me in. It was also frustrating to realize afterward that a gum problem was missed, likely due to the lack of a thorough exam. To be fair, the office itself is clean and the staff are friendly. If you need straightforward cavity work, they seem efficient and quick with that. However, if you're looking for a more thorough evaluation, clear communication, and someone who takes time to listen and answer questions, this may not be the right place. I shouldn't leave a dental appointment feeling like I need to seek a second opinion elsewhere but that's exactly how I felt here.

Western Dental is horrible! I say the company in general because I've dealt with two different…read moreoffices and my experience has been bad for offices. Let me share my experience. First, I had to go to Western Dental for their Orthodontics, and this was the only company near me that my insurance approved. I do have a dentist I love and will definitely never change after this experience. Anyways, back to my story. So, I scheduled an appointment to a Western Dental in Burbank to get a dental implant. After signing in and filling out new patient forms the took me to the back pretty in a reasonable amount of time but that was the only time things went timely. After being seated in the dental chair I sat there for over an hour before the orthodontist came to prep me for the implant. The prep for the implant didn't take too long but the orthodontist was a little rough and net very gentle. At the end of that appointment, I was told the I needed a few months to heal and that I would need to come back to get a cast made for the new tooth. I was also told they would call me to set up the new appointment. I never got a call. So, I finally decided to call them to see when I could come in to get the cast made. It took me numerous calls and many more months to finally get my appointment. The orthodontist only came into the office a couple of times a month and was almost always booked up. I kept telling them to please give me a call when they had his next month's schedule so I could book my appointment with him but again they never called me. I just had to keep calling all the time. So, finally after more than 6 months I got my appointment. I went in and got my cast done. They told me it should be ready in a couple of weeks and that they would call me when it comes in so schedule my appointment to give me my implant. Well, two weeks go by and then another two weeks and then another month and I never received a call. So, now I'm calling them again but this time I don't get the office I had my original work done, I get a call center. The call center knows nothing about me, so I have to fill them in on what's going on with my case. They informed me that the office I was going too closed down and is not there anymore. Something I'm sure the office knew during my last appointment with them that they didn't tell me. The call center said that all the patients from that office were sent to an office in Sylmar. I asked them do they have my implant. The call center didn't know and said I would have to check with the Sylmar location, and I would have to go there to find that out. So, they schedule me an appointment in the Sylmar office. I go to my appointment in Sylmar and when I show up to the office, they said they couldn't find my appointment. They asked me what I 'm here for so I explain my situation again. They have me sit for a bit, I think it was around 15 to 20 minutes, they call me back up and said they found my appointment and that is was on a different screen for their Burbank patients. They had me sit back down and I waited for another 40 minutes before they took me to the back. There, I sat for another hour, and I was told they didn't know where my implant was. Finally, one of the dental assistants finds my implant and brigs it out. Now, I'm waiting for the orthodontist. Another hour goes by before he finally comes to see me. So, now I've been there over three hours. The orthodontist starts working on my implant and tells me the implant is not good (the gap between my implant and tooth was too big) and they would need to do a new cast and order me a new implant. It's been two months since that appointment, and I still haven't received a call from them and I don't have my implant. Once I get this implant in, I will never, never, never use a Western Dental again. This has been the most horrible and unprofessional experience in my life. This has been a poorly manage company and worst professional experience that I have ever dealt with in my life, and this is coming from an Office Manager myself. P.S. I pretty much never write reviews, but this was such a bad experience that it compelled me to write a review.

It caused me TWO YEARS of unnecessary sinus infections and headaches. It wasn't until an x-ray at an ER by an experienced doctor caught the problem. The only reason I did not sue was because a lawyer advised me not to spend my money and move on to another practice. It has been 5 years since my experience here and I still have nightmares!
