I thought the cheesesteaks here were actually pretty good. I did however feel the prices could have been a little better.

I've eaten from Riley's on several occasions and I must say that the food is horrible. the cheese steaks are greasy, and salty, the bread is soggy. So, I decided to try a burger, and it was severely over cooked, burnt and DRY as hell!!!! I'm done, being a native Philadelphian trust me when I tell you these cheese steaks aren't IT!!!!! read more

I've been to Riley's quite a few times, even when I didn't do a review. However, this time I needed to update my experience.... When I walked in... the young lady at the counter was on the phone having a personal conversation. I sat there until she thought it was a good time in her conversation to take my order. I ordered my same ol beef cheesesteak with provolone cheese, onions and ketchup. I was told 15mins, then she picked up her phone and continued her conversation. I decided to wait in the car because the music in there was extremely loud and I couldn't hear my phone call nor myself think. After 15mins... I went back inside and was told a few more mins, which turned into me waiting a total of 30mins for my sandwich. I was tempted to ask for my money back, but I was hungry and had my tastebuds set to eat this sandwich. Fast forward to me getting home. My cheesesteak was lukewarm. I didn't make any stops and it usually is still piping HAWT when I get back home. Not this time. I swear I should've known something was up just by my initial experience in the restaurant. Anyways.... My sandwich was smelling a lil spicy... I see a hot red pepper in the wrapping and thought they just wrapped it in my sandwich by mistake. Um NO! There were hot red peppers throughout my sandwich. It was as if they realized the peppers did not belong on the sandwich and tried to take them out, but a whole lot of them were left in there. Instead of making a whole different sandwich and having the young lady tell me there was a mistake with my order, they gave it to me as if it was what I ordered. I wouldn't have minded if I liked spicy food, but I don't. I actually despise it and have heartburn from the sandwich! The sandwich was extremely spicy, then it was like extra pepper was added onto it as well. Then the amount of meat that used to come in the sandwich is not the same either. It was only a small portion of meat on it. As much as I would love to go back to Riley's.... I probably won't. read more

My husband and I were in the area, so we decided to order two Philly cheesesteaks. The employees were really nice, and very attentive. The restaurant has chicken and salmon cheese steaks as well. They also have salads and smoothies. I had a Philly cheesesteak, with well done mushrooms. My husband had a Philly cheesesteak, with onions. We also had a strawberry lemonade. The drink was really delicious , but my sandwich was too salty. I asked my husband to taste it, and he said the same thing. But, when I tasted his sandwich, it was delicious. I'm sure the cook must've seasoned the mushrooms too much, so that made the sandwich too salty. Next time I will make sure that I let them know not to add any salt. For this trip I got my standard philly. I usually get peppers, mushrooms and extra cheese. While the philly is tasty, I can't say it's one of the better I've had compared to Weeyum's in Stone Mountain. However, being in Riverdale vs driving out to Stone Mountain, you got to really want a Weeyum's to go out there. So this will do. The location is counter service. You go up and talk with a nice lady, she screams at the back your order and you wait. They have some interesting deserts. The one I got was the banana pudding cheesecake, which I wasn't too thrilled on. There were chunks of Cheesecake squares, which I've seen done with other deserts. Just seemed meh for my tastbuds and too sweet. The philly though was fresh, but was your standard 10". The seasoning wasn't hitting for me either. Could have used more meat. Lots of the tables were taken up by people waiting for their food instead of eating inside. Could use some side seating to accomedate people waiting on their food maybe and avoid this. read more

When I tell you I'll happily make this drive again. Riley's definitely exceeded my expectations! Probably the best cheesesteak I've had in so longgg! The best part about it is they are actually from Philly so you are getting, true authentic flavors! Staff is very nice & helpful. It's a takeout spot but they do have some seats in there as well. Not only do they have cheesesteaks, but they have tasty salads, water icees, lemonades, and other desserts. This isn't my first time visiting and it won't be my last. Riley's never miss! From the personable customer service and the delicious food, they will have a loyal customer in me. They give generous portions for their prices. The lemonade is fresh and DELICIOUS! I love the depth of their menu as well - ranging from wraps, salads, smoothies, banana pudding and more. Oh - and the music? Whoever runs the playlist has great taste. I love some good R&B. Riley's is a wonderful addition to the Southside of Atlanta. The lady at the counter was very nice, the wait for food was average wait time. For $14.99, the cheesesteak should have more meat on it ( I have pic of Riley's cheesesteak in the basket and the one I get at Woodys for $9.50). Some have said their cheesesteak was salty tasting, to me it tastes like they use Au Jus as they are cooking it for flavor. To the people getting to-go's, it's rude as hell to take all the tables up for the dine in customer putting the owners in a spot. Riley's is my go to spot for authentic cheesesteaks on the Southside. Today proved why I'll always be a loyal customer. Doordash did a horrible job and the delivery driver never bought me my food. I ended up placing a pickup order and getting it myself. That's how bad I needed that fix! Not only was this an inconvenience for me, but also the restaurant who had to make a new sandwich (3 times!!). The customer service at this location is some of the worst customer service that I've had in a long time. They messed up my order yesterday and told me that they would give me a side of meat to put into my sage wrap because they added the meat to my Philly. I was told by Leandria that I could come back the next day to get my order remade and that she'll leave a note for the openers. I go back the next day and the same issue happens so I talked to the current cashier and she informed me that she cannot remake my sandwich today and that I would have to come back tomorrow because she cannot give out that much free food on her shift. I didn't get a picture but I had the beef cheesesteak with onion and sweet peppers. I should have added a little bit of heat, it was great. I ordered a salad too but I am too full to eat it.
