Our friends stayed in a cabin so we were able to check that out too. While it wasn't the Ritz it was clean, spacious and comfortable. The resort is close to activities, food and sites. We were a little early in the season for some of the Resort's concessions but we still had access to the store and gift-shop. The day before left the grill opened and we had excellent burgers for lunch. What a great week!

Most horrible cabin rental ever. The cabin and everything…read morein it must be at least 40 years old. The smell of old electrical makes you ill. There was a live bat in our bathroom when we arrived. The door took 5 minutes each time to unlock its handle was so old. The bed was as hard as the floor. A toaster is provided but literally nothing else.. For the price a small coffee pot and microwave or pot/pan should be included. Ridiculously over priced.

If you are looking for a quite place to put your toes in the water, sit in a beach chair, and have an adult beverage while enjoying the sun, this place is perfect! Cell phone signal and WiFi are so-so...but honestly when I'm camping I kinda what to be off the grid and left alone for a few days. The place is very clean, the staff is SUPER helpful and nice. Camp sites are great! Only small minus is the wind some nights (not all nights!!!) in the canyon, but that's part of the experience and will be the same anywhere in the valley. I would HIGHLY recommend you coming here to rest, relax, and work on your tan!

Obtaining the gate key code was a nightmare, they're understaffed. My family rented a cabin for almost $400 a night. The lights were flickering, washing machine didn't work, most outlets didn't work, none of the furniture was comfy and they barely cleaned the cabin. Lipstick on a pig. The new owners are going to run this place in the ground and if code enforcement was called on them they would be shut down so fast, this is coming from a General Contractor who understands that they have serious electrical issues. But don't worry, there are no smoke detectors.

There is a cliff to jump off just up the lake, an entire lake to board and tube on. The putt-putt course in the park is a lot of fun, and we always get ice-cream mid-week when we stay there. The Cove has been a family tradition for as long as I remember, and I wouldn't have it any other way. If you can, avoid getting the condo near the rock, as bugs and snakes have a way of finding their way in, and their is constant foot traffic on the patio with people coming and going. But even if you do get the end, this place is a blast. Its definitely a vacation for people who enjoy the outdoors and don't mind not getting service on pretty much any electronic. If you are considering going here, do it and you will want to come back every year.

Really this should be a 4.5 star review but I rounded up…read more Starting with positives, the Ala Cozy is charming and quiet. The motel sign is a great photo opportunity. Being able to park in front of the room is fantastic. I didn't hear any road noise or noise from neighbors as the only other car in the lot was several rooms down from me. Communication was prompt and friendly (hence the rounding up) and my room itself was very clean. The price was surprisingly affordable and the dog fee was low. Even though it was a cold night, my room was toasty and I slept soundly. My only reasons for the -1/2 star are that the drapes in the sitting area wouldn't shut entirely so I would have had to have a clothespin on hand (which I did not) to make the bedroom more private. Also, the sitting room couch was a little scruffy so the "no dogs on the furniture" rule seemed unnecessarily restrictive. Would I stay here again if visiting the local State Parks? Yes, definitely.
