I love coming here, it's one of my favorite campsites. It may not have mini golf, video games and water balloon wars...but I'm not looking for that either. If you are looking for a quite place to put your toes in the water, sit in a beach chair, and have an adult beverage while enjoying the sun, this place is perfect! Cell phone signal and WiFi are so-so...but honestly when I'm camping I kinda what to be off the grid and left alone for a few days. The place is very clean, the staff is SUPER helpful and nice. Camp sites are great! Only small minus is the wind some nights (not all nights!!!) in the canyon, but that's part of the experience and will be the same anywhere in the valley. To call this a luxury resort is a stretch. The grass was dry, there was no shade, the picnic tables were warped. The waterfront sites were $100 with only water/electricity, no sewer. The "beach" was very small. Staff were friendly, restrooms were clean. It was acceptable but not luxury. read more

Came to Blue Lake this weekend to celebrate one last weekend before summer was over and honestly it was a great time. Few hiking trails we found and areas to fish. I would recommend blue to a friend or family member for sure read more

We stayed at Blue Lake Resort for the first time this past weekend. We reserved a more primitive tent site on the water (#24) for $70 (one night). The price is a little higher than most other tent sites in the area, but the management was SO accommodating and friendly, and the area was so clean! The bathrooms were by far the cleanest I've ever seen on a camping trip! My ONLY complaint is that there was very little shade, but the owners told us that they are planting 100 new trees this year. They are working very hard to turn this into a "glamping resort" and are in the process of remodeling all of the cabins. Each of the tent sites is being equipped with its own water and power source, although that was not completely set up when we stayed there. Also, the water faucet at our site didn't work, but we used the one at the neighboring site, which was not a problem. Takeaway: This place is a little on the more expensive side for a tent site, but you get some decent bang for you buck: water/electric included; CLEAN bathrooms with free showers; and management are putting their hearts into this place. It was also far less crowded than the camping spots on the north side of the lake this past weekend. read more

We have been to this resort last weekend. We have stayed in newly built cabin. Cabin was very clean and had all the amenities. Full kitchen. Resort is owned by new owner now and very well maintained. I have 15 and 10 yrs old girls. They had super fun. lake is just front of the cabin. It's shallow enough for kids to play. Best part was motor boat and Kayak. Owner had kayak and motor boat for guest for free. My girls loved it. There is a deck area to jump in a lake. And they had life jackets for guests. Very convenient location to soap lake downtown which has plenty of food option. We went to coulee dam as well which was 40 mins drive from there. Driving was beautiful. We have been to the Blue Lake Resort during June 2021. The location is awesome, quiet and peaceful for a relaxing vacation. The breeze is welcoming & gentle enough to get fresh air. Very friendly staff, good walking, can get out onto calm rides on water, get some fresh water swimming, catch good fish. Newly added Domes and Glamping sites are nice and they are more attractive. We stayed in newly renovated cabin. Very clean with new management upgraded everything they can think of. Cabin has all the amenities including full kitchen. The location is awesome, quiet and peaceful for a relaxing vacation. New Management renovated the entire resort including RV, Camping spots, Cabins and especially bathrooms. All the amentias water/electric, showers, kayak and motor boats rental are included in rental price. So no surprises at the end. Used to be a great place to camp and fish, cabins are very primitive, some with no bathroom. If you overlooked those issues, the campground was clean and the people we met there were always friendly as were the owners. The resort was sold and many people had their reservations canceled abruptly. New owners have taken over and the prices are so high now that a lot of people can't afford to go there anymore. There were improvements made but the price increase is like sticker shock. Be prepared for the high prices if you pull in there or try to make a reservation. read more

Blue Lake Resort was a great place to camp before it was sold this spring. Without notice all reservations were canceled and families like ours were left scrambling to find places to camp on busy holiday weekends. For many of us who have been coming here for 10-20+ years, it left a bad taste in our mouths. Blue Lake Resort priced their sites very reasonably at around $30 per night for what it was. An old resort, mostly gravel with power and water hookups only in the best sites along the water. The new owners removed some of the best camping to put in glamping tents. The winds here get very high at night and it gets very hot in the summer. Not sure how that is going to work out. They raised the price from around $30 per night to $90 per night. They try to justify this by telling you that they upgraded the power to 50amp and they are all inclusive meaning you don't have to pay for showers, laundry or the use of a small selection of kayaks. They did update some cabins and I believe they jacked the prices on RV sites way up to cover those costs.. Take this review how you want. I was a long time customer that didn't like the way this went down but with all the new reviews that seem very fake and/or computer generated I figured I would give an honest picture of what they have going on here. Look around at other places in the area and you will find they are almost double the price of others in the area. read more

I took my grandchildren for a memory. The location was pleasant enough however the operation left a great deal to be desired. I felt uninformed about what to expect from the cabin I rented, not a big issue. I really was disappointed by the boat I rented, now I asked to rent it for my entire stay and expressed concern that it be available when I wanted it. I returned to go fishing and it was gone. The first excuse is others were before me, then the manager tried its for my use so.. I did not get to go fishing with the 5 and 6 yr old. I did get excuses and told not to be offensive. I guess I should have let the bill for the gas for the boat go but since I didnt use the gas (the manager did) I didnt want to pay for it. No I wont go back, I wont apologize. Under new management! Do not pay attention to previous reviews. This place was such a pleasant surprise. The husband and wife team running the resort are incredibly sweet and helpful. The water and surrounding scenery is beautiful. The new owners are adding so many nice amenities to the resort. We stayed at a tent site right on the edge of the lake. There are many ways to camp here from rentable cabins to RV to tent sites and much more. They rent boats and all have new Honda motors. Great fishing too! You can also rent jet skis. They have clean, stocked restrooms with showers and a store. We were very impressed and will return. The only reason that I didn't give a 5 star review is that during shower time it's pretty stuffy and steamy but some good bathroom fans will certainly fix that and the bathroom stall doors are a little high off the ground for comfort-also a very easy fix. We have made 2 trips to Blue Lake Resort during 2021 year. The place is quite serene and beautiful. I highly recommend staying in the dome with lake view. The morning and evening views are spectacular. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to our requests. Free kayak and paddle board was icing on the cake. The lake breeze and the freshness of air kept me 2 more days than planned. The public restrooms and showers were very clean. Another advantage was the dedicated cooking sites. Couple of days it was hard to use the outside cooking due to wind and those enclosed cooking sites were a great option. This saved us from traveling for food. Second time we stayed in the renovated cabin. Well thought layout and having a dedicated kitchen and bathroom is very convenient. The only drawback is, these cabins are not waterfront. You still have the view of water but not as good as the dome or glamping site. Kids enjoyed the glamping sites more than the cabins. Prices are reasonable and most of the facilities(kayaks/paddleboard) are included in the pricing. Kids enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards. Overall it's a good value and we will be regular here. read more
