The steak was cooked perfectly and it came with everything I was craving. Plus the refried beans, creama, eggs, plantains, chicharron, and warm tortilla--yum! The pupusa was different, as it's made with a different cheese here which the waitress did warn us. Because of this, it wasn't our favorite but still good. Overall this spot is popular in East Boston, I would definitely check it out! Also if you tell them it's your birthday they will sing to you and you get to wear the special hat :)

The prices are not good at all for the quality and portion size . The waiter took forever to just bring us water , never mind servicing us . Yikes ! The vibe feels like you're in a busy supermarket not warm at all . Parking is limited as they have no garage. Plus it's located near the Tobin bridge so no side street parking . You might have to walk like 2 blocks or less for a safe parking spot . Just always read the signs before parking .

I have recommended this restaurant to many friends and often post them bc on my social media. During our last meal here, we dined in and I also had ordered 10 pupusas for to go (costed about $30 for the to go order) When I came home, I tasted the pupusas and they tasted spoiled. i recalled tasting the sourness at the restaurant when I ate a pupusa dined in but I thought the salsa/ tomatoes was from a sour batch. I tried to contact the restaurant Facebook through messaging just so they could be aware of the problem... they left me on read and then blocked me. Very unprofessional. I'm very disappointed because this was one of my favorite restaurants, but my bf is happy he won't have to drive 1.5 hrs to Boston anymore. Bad experience but very good food when it's not spoiled.

The Gordita and tostada was really good! I would get again, but probably wouldn't order tacos here given the lack of taco toppings.

They have lots of good beverage options- my bf Francisco P. & I had horchatas and our dinner companion had a papaya shake. On request, they can prepare the shake with water instead of milk. You can see the female chef in the kitchen preparing the food lovingly by hand. I tried the bean and cheese pupusas, which were very good. Our companion also tried the chicken pupusas, which she said were also very good. We thought they tasted freshly made, to order. I love that the pupusas had the bits of crunchy cheese that form when some cheese leaks out the side. I was also glad to have the red sauce and pickled cabbage for putting on top. Maybe next time I'd order more of that because I love the pickled cabbage, or curtido. My bf had a Salvadoran combo plate- that had a pupusa, a Salvadoran tamale, and a Salvadoran enchilada (which closely resembles a Mexican tostada). I had a taste of the tamale, which had chicken, & which I thought was really flavorful, and different in consistency than a Mexican tamale- softer.
