    Octopus- so delish
    Lisa W.

Steak!!! Meat heaven!! And if you're from the states this is such a great price for everything you get, meaning it's definitely cheaper for quality meats. We got a bottle of their wine, one of the Malbecs. We wanted to try all the meats- so we got the Rincon grill. It came with ribeye, top sirloin, short ribs, flap meat and filet. OMG, what a mountain of meat, 3.3-3.8 pounds of meat! More than enough for 2 people. It also came with a salad or fries. We got half and half. My favorite was the short ribs, flap meat and filet. The ribeye was too thin. We also ordered the octopus. It was the best fried octopus ever. Inside was so soft. They know how to cook octopus and meat here! We also got dessert. The brownie/chocolate with ice cream... good ending to all the saltiness of the meat. Definitely coming back when we're in CDMX again!

    Overpriced!

Mexico City is a foodie's dream, and unfortunately Rincon Argentina was a rude awakening. We had high hopes coming in, but did notice that the most recent positive Yelp reviews were from approximately three years ago. Our party of three ordered their ribeye special, three Argentinian sausages and one empanada. The sausages and empanada were fine, but the steak was dry with excessive grizzle. We were underwhelmed until the check came and we realized that the dish cost approximately $120 USD. At that point, we were thinking, "wtf bruh". The reality is, they had to have pre-grilled that steak hours in advance of serving to make it come that dry. Another reality is that for $120, we could've had a prime steak back in San Diego! Or we could've gone to Sizzler, paid $15 and had a juicer piece of meat! We did ask the server where they source the streak from he said Texas. So either Texas has some really dry cows or that was fake news. Basically this steak was equivalent to how Burger King char marks their burgers and calls them fresh! In all, this was our most disappointing and most expensive dinner in CDMX. P.s. Service was slow. P.s.s. The knife they gave us could barely cut through the steak. Not sure if it was because they use dull knives or because the leather wasn't removed from the "Texas-sourced cow".

Rincón Grill Special - ribeye, short ribs, flank, and skirt steak! 3.3lbs

Delicious Argentinian steakhouse! We ended up ordering the delicious pulpo (octopus) appetizer, a bottle of Malbec and the Rincón Grill special, a 3.5 pound platter of assorted grilled ribeye, flank, skirt, and a beautiful thick cut short rib. All the food was delicious and perfectly cooked. Best part was it was only $2500 pesos ($125 USD). Great service Great steak Highly recommend!

We really were looking forward to this restaurant with friends. We had reservations and were seated overlooking the street. Very nice surroundings on a beautiful night. The service started off very badly. We had a waiter who had no patience with us. The menu is a QR code but we all had problems with accessing. They finally brought us a tablet to use. We had people fluent in Spanish but not familiar with steak and meat names. This further gave our waiter an attitude. Finally someone showed us how to get menu in English. We ordered the heart of palms salad and the other couple the mixed salad. Salad could have fed four people so we had leftovers. Very good and fresh ingredients. We ordered our entrées with a friendly new waiter. My wife and I split the large New York strip with creamed spinach. Others ordered the rib eye and another the large filet mignon. The steaks come with potatoes. Our steak was thin and did not have a prime meat flavor. The creamed spinach was good and the mashed potatoes dry. Our friends rib eye looked full of fat and the filet looked good. Nice wine selection with fair prices. I feel I cook steaks better at home. My wife did talk to the manager on the way out about the first server.

Good is okay but it's too dark to eat. I'm afraid to feed in my noose. The service is good that the servant warm the beef.

Best steakhouse. Period. Wish there were 6 stars! Having lived in Tokyo, Las Vegas and Mumbai this is hands down one of best restaurants and not just in the genre of steakhouses. Their secret is amazing meats, great seasoning, great marinade and perhaps above all their charcoal grill. Have the chistorra as the appetizer. Super friendly servers and chefs. Beware of the portions though! Mucho gracias Rincón Argentino.

Nice buttery, flaky crust and succulent meat. Well seasoned. We didn't decided to try some of the Argentinian chorizo that came with a simple salad of lettuce and tomato dressed with some olive oil. The sausage was probably the worst part of the meal, but that's like saying a Mercedes is the worst car among a bunch of Ferrari and Lamborghinis lol. The star of the night was the prime ribeye, that came the table with Serrano peppers and grilled onions. Beautiful great flavor, high-quality beef! We also decided on a side of soufflé potatoes. Now this isn't like a soufflé as much as it was like french fries that were puffy and like little pillows. They were good if not, perhaps a bit under seasoned. They tasted much better when I spooned a little the Housemade chimichurri sauce over the top. End of the night with a dessert of tableside flambé Crepe Suzette! Very delicious very traditional with the Grand Marnier and the Brandy served with some really good vanilla ice cream. Wash it all down with a bottle of 2021 Primeras Viñas Cabernet Sauvignon from Bodega Lagarde. The meal from start to end was wonderful and delicious. Service was impeccable everyone very friendly and attentive. If I'm ever back in Mexico City, which I will be because of Business, I will certainly stop by once again!

The braised octopus was tender, grilled shrimp were fresh and the boneless ribeye also very tender, juicy and grilled to medium rare perfection. Service was impeccable, doting, and a textbook lesson to almost every other restaurant extant (especially Per Se Time Warner Center). The servers were invisible, but miraculously appeared when you needed something. They even changed out the cooling cast iron plate with a hot replacement. Atmosphere was quiet, with a tropical forest terrace and smoking section. Very refined and elegant. We enjoyed 4 hours here eating and chatting. The room was not full, and no one rushed us whatsoever, unbelievable. Totally spoiled now

I also agree with the last review, that it is a sister company with the restaurants next door, as the drink menus were identical. Sylvestre is beautifully set up decor wise and the service is wonderful. Unfortunately, the food is not on par. The tacos were bathed in a puddle of grease. The shrimp was cold and wasn't as fresh as the other food we had in Mexico City. The mashed potatoes tasted like they were cooked in a stick of butter. I wish the quality of the food matched such a beautiful environment.

Being shut down in Mexico can have a plethora of reasons that aren't actually associated with food quality or cleanliness. So when it does open again, please visit it! Because I sincerely doubt hygiene had anything to do with it's current legal situation. :. This place is a lovely Argentinian restaurant that specializes in great steak! If you can, I think sitting near the window is the best place to be, as it's usually quieter and a bit more romantic (ie. candles, softly whispering couples). They have both English and Spanish menus which are usually written on large boards that they bring to your table. This place is certainly a bit more creative and fun in their presentation of food and set up. All meals come with in-house baked bread with rosemary and a couple of oils to dip in. As you would expect for the Polanco, the quality of the food and selection of wines/tequilas are good, and the service is generally pretty decent. I would definitely recommend keeping to the steaks and salads at this place. I found that most of the pastas are fairly good quality but sometimes can land on a bit on the dull side of things. That being said, the desserts are superb and I really enjoyed going to this place. [ TIP: However you normally like your steak, in Mexico ask for it to be cooked one level more e.g. if you like 'rare', ask for 'medium rare', or even 'medium' if they don't know what 'medium rare' is, as 'rare' will come 'blue'. This only applies in Mexico City. In the cities/locations where a lot of American and Canadian tourists can be found, then you order as you would in Canada/America.]

Upon arrival, we were greeted by the hostess and shown to our table. They have minimal English-speaking staff, but we didn't have any issues communicating. There is also patio seating as well.   Menu was split into different categories from appetizers, salads, steaks, pizza, pasta, and seafood. We were surprised at how big the portion was, plenty to share. We ordered a few items:   - NY dry aged carpaccio: This was a massive portion. Cut perfectly into thin slices. A great choice for an appetizer. - Brisket tacos (3): Comes with 3 medium size tacos. Meat was tendered. Two different sauces and with your usual toppings. - Ribeye tacos (3): Same with this, comes with 3 tacos. My favorite out of the two tacos. - Octopus on the grill: My favorite out of everything we tried. I love getting octopus when in Mexico. It was fresh and grilled perfectly. It also came with fried potatoes which we all love. - Peasant salad: A good balance to the rest of the meal. A refreshing salad with sweet tomatoes. - Grilled cod fillet: The cod fillet was just the right texture. The sweet potatoes puree gave it a nice balance.   The service was amazing. The staff helped pour our water and helped with plating our food. I really appreciate their attentiveness. Overall, this was a great experience and would highly recommend anyone to stop by for lunch/dinner if they're in the Roma Norte area.

I conducted my search, finding a few places online trying to locate a good spot in a city I've never visited. Gardela stood out immediately because of their communication, kindness, and dedication to making this event extra special for him and his friends. They truly created and planned the perfect event for the group and I truly could not be more grateful. Onto the food (their honest reviews)! They said it was a 11/10 dining experience overall. The food was incredible and amazing and these are some food critics traveling from major foodie cities. They planned a beautiful menu with Chicken Tortilla Soup, a variety of Empanadas, Picaña Steak and Skirt Steak, and Peasant Salad and Fries as sides. They said the soup was super delicious and flavorful. They said the steak was absolutely phenomenal and tender, it was very high quality meat. Also the salad really stood out as it was super fresh and crisp. Then they plated a beautiful dessert assortment as well as well as special happy birthday and bachelor messages to make the celebration extra special. The cocktails were also super delicious as well. They left the meal with their hearts and bellies very full. From everything, from the planning, to the the presentation of food, the service, and food quality, the team at Gardela went above and beyond. I really could not have picked a better place and now I am jealous because I need to go try some of the steaks because they had my mouth watering!
