Beautiful! The drinks were good. The steak was good but I did ask for medium and it was definitely closer to rare. The waiters were SUPER attentive. I went alone and they made sure I felt comfortable and had everything I needed.

We came here to celebrate the end of 2021!! What a cute restaurant! It's decorated with 2022 celebrations and holiday lights. We were lucky to secure a table on the New Year's Eve! The evening started out with complimentary bread. We actually loved their bread very much! Excellent way to start out the evening with couple of drinks too. The cocktail drinks are light and refreshing. The grilled octopus unfortunately was underwhelming. It's overcooked so the octopus was too hard on the outside. The dish was oily, not sure from the potatoes or the octopus. It's seasoned okay but I was expecting a lot more because that is one of the most popular dishes here. The potatoes were surprisingly delicious. It was seasoned very well. The outside is crispy but soft inside. The surf and turf Puerto Madero was pricey but worth the money! The prime tenderloin was great! Perfectly aged and cooked. This was the best item of the evening. The lobster was great as well, but the meat was a bit dry. It could have been better in my opinion. I would say the food here was not as good as I anticipated but it's delicious.

Came here to have a business meeting with Pavel Pardo and they did not disappoint. Steak portions were massive, their potatoes were to die for as they make them in a unique way. My experience here was a 10/10 and definitely recommend anyone to go here for a good steak.

salmon with veggies, mashed potatoes, and spinach and artichokes

me and a partner came at 11:30 pm for dinner and drinks and the service was amazing- ruben lopez took the best care of us! we ordered the steak tartar, the salmon, spinach and artichokes with cream (not! like a spinach and artichoke dip btw), and mashed potatoes with a tempranillo. i thought the meal was okay but we were sweetly gifted a cheesecake at the end that was seriously one of the best i've ever had!! food gets a 6.5/10 for me but service and ambiance was 10/10 :)

WOW loved the food here. They serve Argentinian food here. The decor shows that this is a higher end restaurant located in a pretty nice area. Server here speaks some English and its also nice that they have menu in English. We ordered for appetizer empanadas and that was pretty good. Loved the chim churri sauce that went with it. Then I got a rib-eye steak. It was served on a sizzling grill pan. I had it medium rare which was nicely cooked. Meat was very tender. For sides we got asparagus and potatoes to share. To my surprise the potatoes looked like puffs. I had an ice tea for drinks and that was pretty nice. i got the mate tea. I was told it will be bitter but it wasn't bitter at all. I liked it. It was very refreshing. Service was great here. Nice place to have dinner.

We were looking for a nice restaurant that we didn't have to dress up at since we packed poorly. Our hotel concierge recommended this place and it didn't disappoint. Drinks: They have some creative cocktails on the menu. We had a Chram-Mule which was a Moscow mule with lemon and cranberry juice (we think). We also had a gin cocktail which was closer to a G&T with orange slices. Appetizers: we had a single empanada. They had 3 options that weren't on the menu; we chose the crab one. I described it as a crab pot pie while my husband said it tasted like crab and it was delicious. Dinner: We ordered the Wagyu prime rib, Whole Fish Puerto for one and the potato special. The wagyu was okay but I probably wouldn't recommend getting it. It was certainly tasty but we've had better. The Whole Fish Puerto for one was a grilled grouper (I think). The presentation of both was wonderful. The fish came out sizzling on a cast iron plate. It was described in the menu as a whole fish so I expected a literal whole fish - fins, tail, eyeballs, the WHOLE fish. It was actually two fish fillets, which I was also okay with. The potato special reminded us of potato chips. They were also okay but we likely would opt for something else next time. Dessert: we were full so we had already asked for our check then surprise! Happy Birthday slice of cake. It came out with a sparkler and we were certainly surprised. The chocolate cake was very rich and seemed to have a condensed milk around the plate. Price wise - it's pricey. After the conversion rate to USD, it was about $150 in total. Service - fantastic. They appreciated our business and were ready to serve us. We didn't have a designated server that could only take our orders. Whoever was around when we needed something served us.

the 1 star is for the poor service . By far the worse service I had in this type of restaurant in Mexico . Compare our visit in La hacienda morales , make this place feel like Denny's. All 4 us order steaks and only 1 came.. rest didn't show up until the first person already finished and we ask about our fish . They serve the salad and only offer 4 person out of 5. They rushed the main dish in before asking us if we done w our soup. For this type of establishment and price tag , we truly dissapinted . Did I mention we ask to speak w the manager and never showed up???

Cambalache is an Argentine steakhouse, which is reflected in the style of grilling their meats (over an open flame, which can be viewed at the back of the restaurant), and the service of the meat itself (a La plancha, at the table). We chose the ribeye (600-700g) to share. It was perfectly cooked to medium temperature, and sliced for us tableside. A beautiful cut of meat, and very flavorful. The side dishes were tasty, too (the soufflé potatoes are a signature, and they're fun to try/share). Speaking of tableside prep, I highly recommend saving room for the strawberries Romanoff - our server spent about 20 minutes whipping a combination of vanilla Haagen Dazs, Grand Marnier, cream, and fresh-sliced strawberries into a fluffy concoction that was divinely yummy. Our youngest diner insisted on coming back to Cambalache a second time, a week later, just to have it again. It's not on the regular postre menu, so be sure to ask your server about it.

I did not have any chicken from the grill and I'm not a big fan of the sausages. It was still good. The service was great but the staff does not speak much English per one of the Google reviews I saw when searching for an Argentinian cuisine. Prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get and the bread basket was great. The restaurant pretty emptied when we came at 7:30pm for our reservation but it slowly filled up. We chose to sit in the outdoor seating area unfortunately we were bit by mosquitoes. Our waiter was very professional and attentive. They had excellent wine selection as well as alcoholic beverages. There was only two of us, but yet we still chose to go with the grilled meats options, which comes with five variety of cuts. Rib meat, filet mignon, sirloin, and flank steak. Our waiter warned us that that will be too much food, but we insisted and he was absolutely right. We also ordered a baked potato and a cream spinach. Cream spinach is the style in which the spinach leaves are left in tact as opposed to someplace in the US where the spinach is finely chopped. The meat was served over a hot charcoal grill that was brought to our table. If you choose to keep the meat warm or cook it further you can because the grill is hot enough to cook on it. My favorite meat turned out to be the rib meat as it is more fatty, and it was well salted. Filet mignon was good and lean as it should be. None of the meat were marinated. I believe the only marinade used was salt pepper in some garlic. they also asked us if we wanted to get local Mexican meat or import meat. After inquiry, I discovered that import means US imported meat. We chose the local meet and it was perfect .

Being shut down in Mexico can have a plethora of reasons that aren't actually associated with food quality or cleanliness. So when it does open again, please visit it! Because I sincerely doubt hygiene had anything to do with it's current legal situation. :. This place is a lovely Argentinian restaurant that specializes in great steak! If you can, I think sitting near the window is the best place to be, as it's usually quieter and a bit more romantic (ie. candles, softly whispering couples). They have both English and Spanish menus which are usually written on large boards that they bring to your table. This place is certainly a bit more creative and fun in their presentation of food and set up. All meals come with in-house baked bread with rosemary and a couple of oils to dip in. As you would expect for the Polanco, the quality of the food and selection of wines/tequilas are good, and the service is generally pretty decent. I would definitely recommend keeping to the steaks and salads at this place. I found that most of the pastas are fairly good quality but sometimes can land on a bit on the dull side of things. That being said, the desserts are superb and I really enjoyed going to this place. [ TIP: However you normally like your steak, in Mexico ask for it to be cooked one level more e.g. if you like 'rare', ask for 'medium rare', or even 'medium' if they don't know what 'medium rare' is, as 'rare' will come 'blue'. This only applies in Mexico City. In the cities/locations where a lot of American and Canadian tourists can be found, then you order as you would in Canada/America.]

They truly created and planned the perfect event for the group and I truly could not be more grateful. Onto the food (their honest reviews)! They said it was a 11/10 dining experience overall. The food was incredible and amazing and these are some food critics traveling from major foodie cities. They planned a beautiful menu with Chicken Tortilla Soup, a variety of Empanadas, Picaña Steak and Skirt Steak, and Peasant Salad and Fries as sides. They said the soup was super delicious and flavorful. They said the steak was absolutely phenomenal and tender, it was very high quality meat. Also the salad really stood out as it was super fresh and crisp. Then they plated a beautiful dessert assortment as well as well as special happy birthday and bachelor messages to make the celebration extra special. The cocktails were also super delicious as well.
