WARNING!! GROSS CONTENT! Roach on plate from where I had to spit my drink out. The roach was in my drink!!

Roach in drink tonight. Had to spit it out on the plate in front of me. And they said that they would give me $2 back and didn't seem care. I notified everyone there i possibly could. They all laughed at everything I was saying even when I show them the roach. Calling the health department tomorrow. Would not eat here. $51 for 4 people & I had to drive home sick to my stomach. Everyone that ate in our group was nauseous and throwing up all night as well.

Seriously this is probably the worst "Mexican" restaurant that I have ever had the displeasure of spending money at. First the menu they give you is not the same one that is on Yelp and their website. Not even close and it doesn't even look the same. We had a very curious waiter--very smiley and creepy. He just arrived at the table and said not a word soon after we were seated with menus. Just stood there and hoovered without engaging with us kinda like Silent Jay. We had to shoo him away twice. On the third try, still with just a smile, my partner finally asked for enchiladas verdes. He gave a curious look as to not know what that was and when told again he looked upward as to think. We don't speak fluent Spanish but after living in Texas for over 30 years I think we have the basics down in ordering for sure. When she pointed it out to him on the menu he confirmed it back to her--with a smile. He understood my chile poblano. But he came back to the table within 2 minutes after leaving and asked again "you said enchiladas verdes right?" Ohh, so he did speak and he did understand both English and Spanish. I'm not sure he knew the menu or maybe he wasn't even a real waiter? The chips are thick, salsa canned with a tin taste and overly sweet tasting like sugar was added. The place was clean but old and tired looking inside and out just like the wait staff. Seriously the younger folks were working the management and cashier. It was very geriatric in there--the wait staff that is. Microwaved classic refried beans from a can, heated up rice with a hint of plastic from the wrap cover on the steam table. Nothing like chowing down on an overt tasting petro chemical in your food. My chile was basic with extremely light batter (thinner than tempura) and then quickly sautéed--not deep fired. That would be a plus but it was very oily so much to the point of it being in the dish swimming in a clear and most likely vege oil because it never solidified at the table during our stay. If it had been lard or shortening you would have known. See the picture below. There is so much oil on the plate that came out of that thing that the overhead light is reflecting in it. Seriously disgusting. Not only that but the pepper had been well steamed in prep to near mush. The red sauce was basic and tasteless. The Oaxacan cheese filling had an ok flavor but not of a great quality. The enchiladas verde chicken meat tasted tinned but most likely it was just the flavor of it having been steamed in a cheap aluminum pot which leeched into the meat. The over steamed tortillas were the same ones the thick chips were made from. The verde sauce was not overly flavorful and most likely canned as well. I don't know what planet these people are on saying this is a great place to eat because hands down this food is nasty. I've had better school cafeteria food and better food served in a Navy mess. We did not eat it all and did not ask for a go box. Not even for my dog. D-Skus-Ting.

Very average Mexican food, good service and great margaritas. Their burritos are so so and the queso is very runny.

Food was great and so were the prices. Service left a bit to be desired. Sad, I don't think I would visit again

The chips were hot and fresh; the cheese dip had a very slight heat and was the perfect consistency.

This place has been my go too ever since it was bought by a new owner, last guy didn't do a good…read moreJob lol but anyway. Great selection of food, the ambiance is also very good. I am also glad they have bilingual workers, it comes in handy when my grandmother goes. The new owner is friendly he makes sure everything is fresh and every employee is doing their part. Honestly I'd rank this number 1 fast food/restaurant in Vidalia. Yeah other places are good but you can't beat fresh and healthy ingredients.

I love coming to Barbaritos! It's great to have such fresh food that's tasty too!…read more I always get the same thing chicken soft taco with fresh jalapeños cheese pico fresh spinach and chip salt! I ordered the double have one wrapped so I can take it home and eat the next morning for breakfast. They have chips that come with salsa : a plain red one and a Smokey red one that I never eat but a green one I do eat it's kind of hit or miss sometimes the recipes followed, sometimes it's too watery. There are a lot of Mexican restaurants in Vidalia now; but I really think this is the best "type" of one because it's way fresh! The franchisee is great and works really hard! The gang that works the line to make the food is very accommodating and wants to make sure you get your tacos the way you want them. They also do quesadillas which I haven't tried & bowls which seem to be very popular for to go- i've also never tried because I don't think I'm that to-go person. Download the app and get the rewards because as your order $s build up you get free stuff. Enjoy! You won't regret it!
