THIS PLACE IS SO PRETTY!!!! I was instantly drawn in by the outside decor and was thrilled to find the inside was even better!!!! I LOVED the fountain in the middle of the dining area. It was just so cool. I would come back for the ambiance alone but the green salsa is also a huge pull. I LOVE this one specific salsa verde that's super spicy. I'm not sure if it's avocado or just jalapenos but this version was delicious. The horchata was just ok but the one we got that day was watered down. I really loved the Papa Grande. It was delicious though I'd probably just stick to chicken next time because that was the meat I liked the best of the mix. Easily my favorite place to eat while I'm in Senatobia. I'm from Memphis and Rio Lindo makes the trip here worth it, in my opinion. My favorite dish is the Rebelde Rio. Cheesy Rice, Beef, Steak, Onions, Peppers, Tomatoes, and Shrimp. I wish other Mexican restaurants served this dish. I order it every time I come here. Their salsa has more to be desired, in my opinion. It is very thin and watery. Has a tiny spice kick to it, which I do enjoy. Give this place a chance. read more

My favorite Mexican place. I grew up around here and have to stop by whenever I'm in town. Quesadilla Caliente Steak is my favorite meal and has large portions (it's 2 quesadillas). What a steal. Everything on the lunch menu is around $5-7, and when they brought out my plate of fajitas I thought for sure they accidentally brought me the dinner portion. It was huge. It wasn't the best Mexican food I've ever had. A little bland. The waiter also made us wait an uncomfortably long time before he brought out the fajita tortillas. With all that said, I still left feeling I had a surprisingly good meal in Senatobia. It's a cool atmosphere with amusement park style faux-Mexican scenery, complete with an elaborate water fountain in the middle of the dining room. read more

This is my second time going to this restaurant. The place seems to be in eternal construction mode as you will see in my photos. The food was mediocre not terrible more like fast food quality. I took a picture of my sister's salad which was turning brown. I had a taco, a burrito and rice and beans. The beans were more like bean soup with melted welfare cheese. I had welfare cheese as a kid that's how I know. The food sent me scurrying away to the restroom and unfortunately before I knew it there was no toilet paper. Rio Lindo is definitely the best Mexican restaurant I have ever been to. Don't be fooled by how plain and simple the exterior of the building is. It is far different inside. The food is great and reasonably priced. In fact, it is a bit cheaper than other Mexican restaurants in the area (now don't go raising your prices to match theirs). The staff is friendly and attentive. The only suggestion I would have for them is to open another restaurant in Hernando. Regardless, Rio Lindo is worth the drive to Senatobia. 5/25/15 - I had previously given Rio Lindo 5 stars but I am reducing it to 2 because over the past few visits both the food and service quality has gone down while the price has gone up. I don't know what has happened here but it appears they are trying to cut corners everywhere and all it is doing is causing loss of business. I have found a much better Mexican restaurant in Hernando - Guadalajara. The food is very good and the servers are attentive, while the prices are reasonable. While driving to New Orleans, the three of us were very hungry by the time we got to Northern Mississippi. We decided to see if there was any place to eat in Senatobia. We drove around, unable to find the restaurant we were looking for and, starving, we decided on Rio Lindo. We were 2 from Los Angeles & 1 former-Texan, so we didn't have high hopes. My family has been coming here for years and years. Whenever I eat another Mexican restaurant I feel like I am wasting a meal that could have been eaten here. The shrimp are very, very large and flavorful. I try to always get something with the shrimp! cowboy fajitas, Poncho special or shrimp cocktail.The restaurant is beautiful inside. It has a large fountain. It is the type of restaurant I am looking for when I turn to yelp to find which restaurants I should eat at. I had to update because I eat here often and feel everyone that likes Mexican food should try this amazing restaurant. I still think it is the most romantic restaurant in Senatobia. Use to eat here at least once a week. Will not be back! When placing an order to go and you ask for a proper amount of meat on a nachos fajita mix, because you have been screwed in the past, they say sure thing. When get the food it's a few crumbles of meat. This used to be the place to go if you wanted a nice Mexican dinner. In the past year it has went to crap! Food is bland and the portions are way to small for the money. If you want good salsa, cheese dip, and descent service this is the place to go.
