Asked for a mid fade walked out almost skin bald.. highest fade I've received in my life. Had someone fix the top for me since it over Hanged so much he didn't even try to blend in the top. I have been to dozens of barber shops looking for the right one until I found Rio's in Chatsworth. My son has had his hair cut by all 6 barbers and each one of them gave a top notch haircut and service, without being over priced. I was very happy with their attention to detail. I am pretty picky and they had no issue making sure the cut was just the way I wanted it. You may need to wait for a chair if you don't have an appointment, but that's only a sign of how great they are. If that's an issue then call ahead for an appointment. I went to get my haircut yesterday 2/27/24 and the old lady there gave me a 15 minute haircut. She left patches on the side and did not even give me a clean razor fade. This is far the worst service ever. Then she cut me as well on the ear. read more

I've been coming to this barber shop for the last 6 months and it's been nothing but good experiences. They have a bunch of tv's so you can always catch up on the game or simply enjoy some comedy. Plenty of seating so you don't have to be standing up while you wait. But the most important is the haircut I always get a taper cut and line up. I have been coming here for the past 3 years and I have found this to be a great place for a haircut. They are located on the corner of the street tucked away inside a strip-mall. This mall is usually busy but there is parking next door if needed. The staff are friendly and conversational (if you are looking to have a talk). All the staff have years of experience and I have seen them realize customer's ideas into reality. Usually there are at least five stations with a barber however there is a long line especially later in the day. I usually come in on Saturday mornings when there isn't a big crowd and the wait time is no more than 10-15 minutes. read more

The customer service was not existent, they saw a line of people and went to their little break room to talk to each other, mind you it's 10:00 am and my boyfriend and I have things to do. Great barber shop in the valley. Raul been cutting my hair for years now, I don't let anyone else touch it. Although all the other barbers seem good. Raul does the best haircuts and best beard lineups in my opinion. Only downside to this shop is it can get busy at times and no appointments. I've been coming to Rio's, at times off and on, essentially since it first opened, so about 15 years or so. Back in the late 90's, I starting going to the fomer "real Barber shop" over on Roscoe & Desoto (now a walgreens) and at some point, most of the really good barbers exited, and started up Rio's (as I understand it) and the rest is history. Some have come and gone since those days, but the essential factor of quality barbers remains. This is the place to go for a great quality "Fade" cut, which most barbers at Rio's have truly mastered, whether it's a 4 or 0 fade. All with a razor cut, for those really clean lines. Quality Barbers here, good conversation, plenty of magazines, and barber chairs, as well as waiting seating. Also at least two to three T.V.s going with sports on as well. Prices are very reasonable, at about $13-$15 for a cut. Plus other services, shave, etc. are available as well of course. There can at times a wait for certain favorite barbers, but at most good places, this is how it is with first come, first serve. read more

I'm really surprised this establishment doesn't have 5 stars, if I could give 10 I would easily give 10. I been coming here since I was in 7th grade. I'm 26 now, the reason why I come to this place because my brother and my uncle who are 8-9 years older than me have been coming here since the 90s Amazing barbers all around. Especially Louis and Rahuel. Prices are very very fair, it's 20 for the line up with fade, I always tip 10. No questions these guys deserve it. 30 dollar investment to take care of yourself and look clean and professional weekly is worth it to me. One of the better barber shops in the valley. I've gotten a cut from almost all the barbers in this shop and none of them disappoint. I usually walk in and wait for whoever is available, and usually end up in Chino's chair. I've never had the privilege of getting a cut from the elderly lady as I've only seen her mostly cut elderly men and children. Their prices have gone up since I first started coming here... I remember when their cuts used to be $12, now the cuts start at $18+ which isn't a big deal as long as I walk out the door appreciating the cut. They're great with kids too. Fridays and Saturdays are usually packed and busy with wait times being as long as an hour to an hour and a half due to them being good at their craft. read more

Difficult to find parking, make sure to watch out for is this old lady with BIG glasses, she cut up the back of my neck once and was like oh you have sensitive skin ( I have never been cut before ever). A few other barbers in there can cut decent but there are definitely better barber shops in the area. read more

Carmen always hooks up the best haircuts ! I have been getting my haircut from them for years, at least 1996 from where the owner was originally employed. All the barbers( Speedy, Elli, Luis, Miguel, Speedy Jr. , everybody ) are good, but if you want your beard or goatee lined up you have to go to Carmen she pays attention to detail and won't let you leave looking bad. The price is fair , I never feel robbed, for me in if you attain a good result , well then that deserves good compensation. The only problem is everybody knows how good this place is . Sometimes on weekends or before big Holidays they have 5-15 people waiting to get a cut. If so , you can run to there other location on Lindley and White Oak and get a cut. Love these people, they are honest and friendly. They remember your face and you run into them at the gym or at the grocery market. I have been scoping out this place for awhile but was sceptical. Have had a few bad haircuts and didnt want another. Finally I sucked it up and went in. Kind of a wait(everyone was waiting for a specific barber) A woman(carmen I think) yells next, no one moves im in. Tell her what I want and wait in horror. She didnt look to happy or friendly. 15 minutes later a pretty decent haircut. Not exactly what I wanted but close. I like how they cleaned up all the edges with the straight razor.
