I found this place through Yelp like 3 days before I needed my hair done before school and I'm honestly so glad I came here because all yalls reviews said the hairdressers here are amazing. I can attest that it's correct! It's 2023 and I paid for a long layers haircut with a shampoo and blow dry for literally $40. Not only is Linda understanding of what may be financially feasible for me, but she literally gave me the nicest layers I've ever gotten she's so sweet! She made me feel comfortable, she spoke with me during my hair wash and the haircut, and after she gave me my layers she also gave me some tips on how to manage my scalp psoriasis and how to curl my hair with layers without using any heat tools. If y'all are in the valley definitely come get your haircuts here because Linda & (im assuming her husband?) have magic hands. Everyone of her next move was unpredictable, she's literally a wizard with her scissors like she just knows what to do and persistently informed me what she is doing and how short my first layer will fall, etc. At the end of my visit it was funny because she asked me how I found her because normally her clients have been with her for 10 to 20 years, like she used to work at a different location but once she opened up this place her clients chose to change barbershops just to have her as their hairdresser... when I told her I found her through Yelp she laughed and said oh my gosh I don't even have time to post on yelp or ask my clients to give me a review on yelp, she's literally just such a wholesome person and amazing at her work. All I can say is this is my first time here, yes they got me in right away. The lady who answered had who I believe her husband cut my hair. First off he couldn't brush it out, I have long hair and he didn't use any leave in or detangler. Second, he started cutting my hair before it was fully brushed out, I asked to brush it out for him and did. I went to leave and the lady getting her hair done by the wife assured me they were good at their job. I was going to leave saying I'll pay fir the wash but stayed because it was only a trim. George trimmed straight at the back of my hair didn't look at the front and finished the cut in 30 seconds! How is that a haircut??? I'm going to ask the lady after I cook off in my car fir a min to fix it. Hopefully she can resolve this issue. read more

George and Linda are the very best. I have long grayish blonde hair and I would not trust anyone else with the cut. It's beautiful and perfect every time. And the price is SO affordable. I was suspicious of the one star rating given recently by Allie. Either she is the most difficult customer ever or is from a competitor trying to bring down "Shear Trends" ratings. Honestly, definitely the place to get your haircut if you're Asian Asians have weird hair but these guys are PROS Do call for an appointment, they're super fast and accommodating for setting you up. The price isn't bad at all.. like 20-40 depending on length. Lots of stylists don't respect your wishes, but Linda totally did. She gave me what I wanted, but she also contributed awesome advice about hair and how to maintain it. She really worked with me and I appreciate that. If you want someone to do your hair the way you want and explain to you also what they're doing, this is the place! They specialize in fades, color, highlights, and perms but tbh I think they do really great with layers read more

She double checked with me how much to trim off and took her time to check for evenness. She was patient in detangling my hair. She is very thorough and never rushes a haircut! For a wash, cut and blowdry the price was very reasonable, and I left more satisfied than when I usually go to a name brand salon for haircuts. She did an amazing job with layers. This is my favorite barber shop around. George is precise and captures exactly what you're trying to go for. The atmosphere is also very laid back and relaxed. I can't believe some people would go to Supercuts or any other chain rather... supporting family businesses is what makes America great. George is a professional and is very intelligent so there is always good conversation. He's also up to date on current events which makes for great conversation too. His wife Linda is also very nice! She's always very friendly... I really appreciate the two of them because that make this salon/barbershop complete. The prices are right, the environment couldn't be better, there's never any shitty music playing. The energy is perfect. If you haven't gone to this place because you go somewhere else where they charge you an arm and a leg I would stop immediately and try Shear Trends out. You won't be disappointed. You can walk in or set an appointment. Lastly... remember that places like this are gems. You can't find them very often which is why I'm so glad that I finally did a few years ago. This is my first time here and I'm impressed. I needed my bleach touch up and Linda fit me right in on a Saturday. Her husband George and her was a great tag team working on me-a process that end up taking 4hrs while they work on other appointments. They were very professional and attentive and making sure I got the results I wanted. The price was sooo reasonable. I'd also got a trim. All in all it was great first time experience. A few days later I manage to mess up my fade and George fit me right in and fix my hair FOR FREE! I've been going to Linda for as long as I can remember. She is incredibly friendly and talkative with you. We always chat about what's going on lately, and she knows almost all of my family haha. Linda is very experienced and will always work with you to get you what you want for your hair, and she does a fabulous job of it! I don't have enough good things to say about Linda - she has really helped my hair in so many ways... I have been going to Shear Trends for a year now and wow! what a difference just in this year alone. I found this place on Yelp, and decided to check it out since it is down the street from my place. When I got there I was nervous, but when I left I was not disappointed at all. I wish I had a before and after photo! My hair started out so dry, damaged, and discolored and after Linda did my hair one time I could already see the difference! The best part is, I was charged under $100!!! Where I'd typically be charged anywhere from $120-$160 for cut/highlights. A year later my hair is as healthy as it has ever been and not only is she fantastic at hair, but she is just a wonderful person all around. I joked with her about what a great memory she has because she remembers every detail you tell her! She's not one of those awkward hair stylists that make it uncomfortable to sit with for 2 hours... she is always so friendly and gives me a lot of great tips! She is also very accommodating and has stayed late a couple times in order to fit me in on the day/time I asked for.
