Needed to get a haircut after my wedding and my usual stylist moved to California. I drive by Riot all the time and thought they might be a good place to get my hair chopped. Looked them up on yelp and loved the reviews, and they had an easy option to make an appointment in the app! I requested my time and hairdresser and was approved within an hour for the time slot. The app sends the request to the hairdresser and they can choose to accept or decline the time you requested. I had my appointment with Abby. She was sweet and easy to talk to. She asked me what I wanted, I showed her a photo, and she got to work. My hair was washed, cut, and blow dried in under an hour, and she chopped 8inches off! Her work was stunning too. I went to this salon based on the reviews. My hair was done by Patricia. I showed her a photo of the cut and color I wanted. Neither the color or the cut are like the photo. I told her I wasn't happy with the color. She rolled her eyes and asked if I wanted to finish blow drying my hair or do I want her to re color it. She knew I had a Botox appointment right after my hair appointment. I told her she could finish drying it. She said she could add some blonder highlights tomorrow and would charge me for that service today...so I could just come and go tomorrow. The more I looked in the mirror and the more thought about all of it, I called the salon and asked what she charged me for the re color tomorrow, because I was just going to go somewhere else. Now suddenly she didn't charge anything for tomorrow. I paid $200 to be very unhappy with my hair and nobody at that salon seemed to care at all, not in person, or over the phone. My daughter walked away feeling beautiful and confident and I think it was a great experience for a young woman.
