Josephine got me into the studio by the same day and was super helpful in the design process of my tattoo. She knew exactly what I had in mind, even though I wasn't even sure that I knew. The vibes in Riot Ink are just all good. The pricing wasn't bad at all, and she educated me on how to take care of my tattoo and said I could contact her if I had any questions. Because the tattoo was larger than I wanted, I wasn't sure how it could be fixed but Nathan and Riot Ink have officially redeemed themselves. He was able to get a good idea of what I wanted without making it too much bigger and added initials at the bottom. He also redid an older tattoo I had above the paw print as well to balance it out. It looks a hundred times better and I am starting to get compliments on it. Thankful that Nathan was able to fix it! He does great work and the studio is gorgeous. I've had two experiences with the shop over the last month. First was going in for their charity drive for RESCUEohio dog shelter. The event was handled incredibly well and the artists toiled all day doing tattoos. Everyone was friendly, kind, and fun. I personally got an ink print done and it was done quickly and looks great. Recently went in with a group to do a bachelor party tattoo for a friend. The owner Nathan worked with us to set it all up and gave an AMAZING tattoo. In response to the other review here: If you want a tattoo, find an artist whose art you love. Give them an idea of what you want and LET THEM draw it in their style. Matt was my girlfriends tattoo artist. Very rough with her. When we got to the car to leave, she proceeded to tell me that she was very uncomfortable because of the way her hand was near his crotch area (tattoo location was back of right arm). She said he was inching towards her hand to be placed on his crotch. Also as we were leaving, never once got instructions on tattoo aftercare or another saniderm. 0 stars if possible. I went in for my first tattoo ever on 9/27! They accept walk-ins but we called ahead to check ahead of time. Greeted by my tattoo artist outside smoking!! Personally I don't think that's acceptable for customers to see, but it's a tattoo parlor so I guess that's to be expected. He talked to me and my friend (who has multiple tattoos already) outside for a while about what we wanted, where, and what size. We talked about everything I would have expected and even the price, so I felt good about everything going into it. Once inside everyone was nice and cool and we looked at additional tattoo ideas and came up one that was okay with me. I'll admit I was disappointed that I didn't get the tattoo idea I came in with, But that's my fault because I didn't really press the issue. My friend got her tattoo first, I wanted to watch and make sure I was okay with everything. Hers turned out great! I was happy with the Clean environment, nice staff and her tattoo looked quality. I went next and I was fine with the pain for my first tattoo I Almost enjoyed it I was excited to see the final piece!! However I am not I am Not satisfied with my tattoo. In my opinion it needs touched up. Chunky and uneven, not the masterpiece I was expecting. Especially from what I thought was an experience tattoo artist and what I also thought was a simple tattoo. If things change with the healing process and looks of my tattoo I'll rate 5 stars right now, kinda embarrassed it looks so juvenile. Next time I will ask for Nathan he seems to be the fan favorite and owner. I also liked the quality of his work a lot. I am by no means bashing the artist that did my tattoo just not happy with the quality that I have right now and the fact is there's no other person to blame but the artist. read more

I have not received my tattoo yet but let's start out with saying how amazing this place already is! They've been so understanding and so responsive with the 20 emails that have been set back and forth. The attitude has been so awesome and I have not once felt like an annoyance to them. To start off, the crew is very polite and welcoming. But I went there for a cover up, that being said, its not exactly a cover up.. you can still see the tattoo lying underneath what work they have done. Besides that the artists are amazing when it comes to their work but do your research before going. I was charged well over $1,000 and was disappointed with my outcome. read more

I brought my brother up here to get his first tattoo the lady that was at the front desk was awesome, very kind and overall friendly personality unfortunately the good part of the review stops there. The artist working that day were very judgmental of the tattoo that my brother and his friend were looking at getting and even made a joke that they were a gay couple looking to get matching tattoos ( downright inappropriate). They also price gouged my brother once they found out it was going to be his first tattoo trying to charge $100 dollars for maybe a 1 1/2 tattoo just black ink. Word of advice which i'm sure they don't care to listen to is, yes you pay for quality but making people feel uncomfortable when they walk in because they are not sleeved up is not a good way to get business or repeat business. I have had good experiences with 22 Caliber and Evolved tattoo. Positives is it seemed like a very clean shop and we did not have a interaction with everyone so I cant speak on everyone that works there just the interaction we had with the artist that was going to ink my brother and his friend. read more

I had sent in 2 photos for references of what I wanted for my tattoo and Nathan Varney did not disappoint. It was better than anything I could've imagined! It is not yet compete and I am already so happy with how it is looking! Would recommend Riot Ink 10/10! read more
