I love the mission of this place and how it supports our community as a whole. The mission and idea is what brought me in but I will come back for the gluten free muffins, coffee and tea. Some coffee places you go to because they're fast, consistent but this is different. This isn't some generic coffee place. The mugs on the wall should be the first clue. Having a mug there not only reduces waste but creates a sense of community. Rise is special! Family friendly! A place you go with a little patience to hang out and enjoy. A place you go to support the idea that everyone has value and is needed. All of the employees are so sweet! They did a great job with our orders and the baked goods, teas and mocha were yummy. Lots of places to sit down and it even has a back room you can rent out for events or big groups. Good job Rise we need more businesses with your heart! We will definitely be back! read more

Please support this business! They support & hire people with special needs & unfortunately there are very few businesses that do this. It is a bit hidden in the shopping center, but there is a drive thru if you don't feel like getting out of the car. The coffee has always been delicious & I'd like to try some of the food next time I stop by. Instead of going to Dunks or Starbucks in the morning, stop by RISE for your morning cup of Joe. read more

Great coffee. Can't believe the sweet and savory offerings are gluten-free. I ordered the cinnamon roll and was advised that it was even better warmed up, and it was super delicious! I was also told that some of the baked goods are made with sugar alternatives like monk fruit and that some have protein powder. There are smoothies that you can add protein to and I saw the specials board promoting a peanut butter banana smoothie that I need to come back and try. It's in a great location, where the old Bookmiser used to be behind Yeero Village on Sandy Plains Road. Some of the employees are special needs folks and all are sweet and awesome! Lots of roomy tables to chat with friends or do some work and comfortable enough to hang by yourself to have a cup of coffee and work on your laptop. I was early for a nearby appointment and popped in for a coffee and was lured to stay be the many sweet pastry offerings. If you're looking for savory there were some great options: avocado toast, bacon-wrapped egg, ham and cheese. read more

I love everything this business stands for, and how they are building a community, and really inspiring the inclusivity around. I hope more people visit and get the chance to support their mission, because they really are trying to do good, while providing a service that so many of us already need - coffee. On the edge of the store strip, Rise is next to Shine, both being owned and operated by the same owner, so there is usually a good bit of parking between the two. I grabbed some cold brews and was so happy to get to come in, and get a feel for their offerings both food and drinks. I was so excited to hear that they have a coffee club, where you can not only share you support for the business but getting your mug on the wall. I do hope to go back and try some of their breakfast items, since last time I went right after eating. I will head there soon, but who knows, I might join the mug club. read more

Have you every pulled up to a business 5 minutes before they close only to hear the lock click as you are walking towards the door? Today I pulled up to the drive-thru at RISE 45 minutes BEFORE they were supposed to open. I pulled up at 8:15 and the sign on the window says they open at 9:00AM. In almost 99% of the businesses operating the person on the other side of the glass would be pointing at the hours and mouthing the words "we're closed!". I am not certain, but I believe the BaRISTa's name was Rubi; before she could tell me they were not open yet I had picked out what I wanted from the menu. At that point, there was the moment that every owner, customer service manager, or trainer tells people can happen. How do you impact the customer, how do you make someone feel like a customer, how do you just simply make someone feel like they matter? Next words - we do not open until 9am, but if you give me just a minute, I will get that for you. With a smile on her face I was presented a wonderful cup of coffee that tasted better than any other cup I have ever sipped. When I got home I looked up the business, and I was amazed at the story, this is a business that cares about its employees and employees that care about each other and their community. My day was made better by a cup of coffee and a smile. read more

I love supporting local small businesses, especially those that promote the kind of loving cause this business is championing - providing work for people with special needs. Sweet Meredith that took my order was extremely helpful and we had a wonderful conversation with her. She recognized where I was originally from immediately by my accent; she is VERY bright and impressed me immensely. Great spot! Waiting to get a haircut, I was going to walk through Walmart but decided to get coffee instead. Starbucks was in the parking lot but didn't have seating and decided to drive out and try to find something local. I would have never found it but was happy to see a kid flipping their sign out by the street. So happy to have stumbled by and will definitely stop back the next time I'm nearby. read more

A small neighborhood coffee joint, very inviting and friendly team. It felt good to support a local business as they are less than a mile from 2 national chain locations. I had a custom-crafted latte and a breakfast sandwich; coffee excellent, breakfast sandwich 'okay'... I should have tried one of the yummy looking baked treats in the case, maybe next time. I love the message and mission of this coffee shop, but it misses the mark. I ordered a protein coffee, frozen just as they had on their website. Not only did I have to correct the cashier three times that I wanted vanilla, and not chocolate as he kept asking, "did you say chocolate," but then he served me a drink poured over ice. When I said that I'd ordered a frozen drink, not an iced coffee, both of the employees looked at me like they were confused and finally said "I can put it in the blender, but then it will be watered down?" Don't offer a frozen drink if you do not actually understand what a frozen drink is. I ALSO ordered a breakfast bowl. I asked what was in it and he said "sausage and like, some eggs and cheese?" Cool. But then, for a place that purports to be a healthy lifestyle and food joint (they have a health and wellness store attached,) I was pretty surprised to see them pull out some frozen tasteless, nonsense and microwave it in front of me like you'd buy in the freezer section at Walmart. For FIVE dollars. I really wanted to love this place. I really didn't. read more

This is a small coffee shop tucked away in a shopping center. They seem to employ those with special needs which is nice. I have only had the coffee, but it was very good. The Barista's greet everyone with a smile and are eager to please. The location does not have direct street signage so look for the 'Coffee' banners near/around 'Yeero Village'. What is this amazing little slice of coffee heaven I stumbled upon?! I came through the drive through and was greeted by the nicest young lady. She was so friendly and made great recommendations. In fact, I can't remember the last time I was treated so kindly at a coffee shop. Now for the coffee: highly impressed. Actually the best cup of coffee I have had in a while. I got the pumpkin maple addition to my latte, and I told her not to sweet. It was perfect and just right. I am so blown away in the best way possible by this place, and I hope this business model takes off in the future and we see way more of this! Bravo.
