    Bacon Wrapped Eggs

I love the mission of this place and how it supports our community as a whole. The mission and idea is what brought me in but I will come back for the gluten free muffins, coffee and tea. Some coffee places you go to because they're fast, consistent but this is different. This isn't some generic coffee place. The mugs on the wall should be the first clue. Having a mug there not only reduces waste but creates a sense of community. Rise is special! Family friendly! A place you go with a little patience to hang out and enjoy. A place you go to support the idea that everyone has value and is needed. All of the employees are so sweet! They did a great job with our orders and the baked goods, teas and mocha were yummy. Lots of places to sit down and it even has a back room you can rent out for events or big groups. Good job Rise we need more businesses with your heart! We will definitely be back!

    Delicious cinnamon roll warmed up!

Great coffee. Can't believe the sweet and savory offerings are gluten-free. I ordered the cinnamon roll and was advised that it was even better warmed up, and it was super delicious! I was also told that some of the baked goods are made with sugar alternatives like monk fruit and that some have protein powder. There are smoothies that you can add protein to and I saw the specials board promoting a peanut butter banana smoothie that I need to come back and try. It's in a great location, where the old Bookmiser used to be behind Yeero Village on Sandy Plains Road. Some of the employees are special needs folks and all are sweet and awesome! Lots of roomy tables to chat with friends or do some work and comfortable enough to hang by yourself to have a cup of coffee and work on your laptop. I was early for a nearby appointment and popped in for a coffee and was lured to stay be the many sweet pastry offerings. If you're looking for savory there were some great options: avocado toast, bacon-wrapped egg, ham and cheese.

I love everything this business stands for, and how they are building a community, and really inspiring the inclusivity around. I hope more people visit and get the chance to support their mission, because they really are trying to do good, while providing a service that so many of us already need - coffee. On the edge of the store strip, Rise is next to Shine, both being owned and operated by the same owner, so there is usually a good bit of parking between the two. I grabbed some cold brews and was so happy to get to come in, and get a feel for their offerings both food and drinks. I was so excited to hear that they have a coffee club, where you can not only share you support for the business but getting your mug on the wall. I do hope to go back and try some of their breakfast items, since last time I went right after eating. I will head there soon, but who knows, I might join the mug club.

I love this little hidden gem! I love the mission, why it exists and I love going there to support them. Always very friendly and welcoming and really good gluten free items as well. I always leave happy to have gotten something from this store and so grateful they exist. Yes you may need to have a little patience when you walk in, but the service is worth it and so proud that it's a local option.

I was passing by and desired to have a coffee, now it became a pit stop on the road! I recommend the egg avocado toast !!

Great spot! Waiting to get a haircut, I was going to walk through Walmart but decided to get coffee instead. Starbucks was in the parking lot but didn't have seating and decided to drive out and try to find something local. I would have never found it but was happy to see a kid flipping their sign out by the street. So happy to have stumbled by and will definitely stop back the next time I'm nearby.

The speed was super quick from sitting down to leaving so if that's what you're after then this could be a great option for you, for us however, we just felt rushed. From sitting down to signing the check it was 40 minutes and that's with an appetizer included. Unfortunately the food just wasn't what we were looking for. While I did provide a unique taste, neither of us really enjoyed our food and left wanting something different. We both had different versions of the saltado and shared the plantains. The saltado was ok and the plantains seemed a little undercooked. All in all, I think if you're after Peruvian flavors and have a dish in mind then the Freakin Incan could be a great stop for you, but it just seemed to miss the mark for us.

A little tight inside because these converted homes are limited in space, so you have to wind between tables to get to yours. Not a big deal for us since they seated us in a back room near the bar, which meant there was a little less traffic by our table when we were seated. Two large tables of rowdy groups made for a louder vibe than anticipated, but once they left, it was much less noisy in the small space. They do have outdoor seating but the weather was iffy so I opted for inside. Started with some Gouda fritters. Dinner was fish tacos and the burratta chicken sandwich. Pair that with their exceptional gravy and a hearty mouthful of biscuit and it's a done deal. It's a HUGE portion, so come hungry or share. Classic breakfast (forgot what it's called but eggs, protein, biscuit, grits): I got my eggs scrambled and these were probably the best scrambled eggs I've ever had outside of my own home. It was just the way I liked them--definitely scrambled, but juicy, flavorful, and soft. The grits were a crowd favorite on our table--super rich and creamy. Smoked ham was salty (as most smoked ham are) but incredible soft and nice to eat. I thought my favorite would be the biscuit (I'm a HUGE biscuit girl) but it actually wasn't as buttery as I thought. It wasn't bad, but I think I'll take the grits over it any day. I can't believe how delicious this place was. All the plates coming out looked amazing (the sweet breakfast items, wow!) and we are definitely coming back to try the rest of the menu. I'd say this is a 4.5 due to the biscuit falling a little flat (not literally because that thing was fluffy!) BUT service was also great so it's bumping up to a 5.
