Ordered my breakfast from the website & it was pretty fast & efficient. Knocked off a star, because I had to go back & get my cranberry juice - for $3.99, I'm gonna need more juice. We came here for a quick bite. We sat ourselves outside and our hosts came out to greet us and brought us some water. A few moments later she took our orders of one impossible and one regular burger. It's our second time here- we decided to try it again since the first time was such a great experience. There was no wait (woot!) and we were sat in a roomy booth. Unfortunately they didn't have the December special menu out yet. I first tried for their homemade Corned Beef Hash but they had sold out already. I ordered the Breakfast Burrito and it did not disappoint. It was full of fluffy eggs, chorizo, and pico. I think the pico cooled down the center a little bit but it was still very tasty. The black beans were absolutely delicious. I also ordered a side of Gouda grits. They were fresh and yummy. My husband got a ham and cheese omlette with potatoes. He enjoyed them. We walked into Reveille on a Saturday during brunch hour and they apologized for a 15 minute wait. We just moved to north Atlanta from San Diego, so that felt like nothing to us. Even though the place was packed, the service and food were very good. It's a cute dinner vibe inside with a surprising amount of seating. I really loved the Shrimp and Grits. They also served a perfect cappuccino. I'm also very intrigued by sweet breakfast options and their seasonal menu, so definitely will be back since it's in our neighborhood! read more

Biscuit gravy breakfast was a bit disappointing with only one biscuit with rather bland gravy. Blanco omelette was enjoyable. This place was just okay...we just moved to the area and I had high hopes for a good breakfast spot close by. We joined the waitlist from home so didn't have to wait very long to be seated. It's a cute place with a coffee bar and lots of booths. Very much an after church crowd when we went on a Sunday afternoon. Our waitress was sweet but very young. Drinks took 20 minutes to get. She brought me the wrong hot sauce and brought our check a few minutes after we got our meal. We weren't even nearly done with our breakfast. Reveille -- as in the military wake-up call -- is a good place for breakfast. Particularly if you have a hankering for eggs, with a pancake thrown in for good measure. Knowing that I'm biting off more than I can chew -- pun intended -- I order the Kitchen Sink, with the promise of leftovers. You choose any pancake or slice of French toast on the menu -- there are some good ones! -- along with a couple of eggs, a link of sausage, a strip of bacon and a ramekin of gouda grits. The grits weren't as good as I've had here before, but when I doctored them up with a little butter and milk at home, they were much improved. Outside tables are off a busy parking lot. But don't let that deter you from dining al fresco. It's actually pleasant out there and the servers -- mostly young and energetic -- make sure you're well taken care of. We had a great experience for lunch today. The service is great, parking is free and ample, and can get a little bit crowded on a Friday afternoon for brunch. We were seated swiftly without a reservation. I enjoyed the grits. I Love the flavor of the gouda cheese in a grits which always makes it seem as if you have cheese and bacon without the bacon. I added on pork sausage which were so delicious. The omelet is medium sized and was good except it was a little bit oniony to me in taste--the red onions, which usually do not, overpowered the entire omelet. Absolutely phenomenal. I love J Christopher's and was excited to try Reveille, as it is the sister restaurant. Their prices are lower and the food and lattes are definitely a step up. I really enjoyed the Cookies and Cream Latte, and it was the perfect sale. The Kitchen Sink was the perfect amount of food, and the highlight was the perfectly cooked bacon. The Red Velvet Pancakes were great, but i wasn't a big fan of the cream cheese frosting so i probably wouldn't order again--but if you're into that, try it! After a great morning hike I wanted to celebrate with some brunch. Reveille Cafe was in the area so I decided to stop in and give them a try. I placed an order online for pickup and proceeded to the restaurant. Location: Located in a busy strip mall off of Shallowford Rd. Decor: It was clean, warm and gave me IHOP sheik style. Service: Apparently they gave my food away to someone mistakenly and I had to wait for them to make a new order. They were very apologetic and offered me a complementary drink while I waited so I had the nitrogen cold brew which was pretty good. Food: Mystic stuffed French toast challah bread stuffed with cream cheese, topped with strawberries, bananas and drizzled with rum sauce. The French toast was so good you definitely don't need any syrup. I also had an order of grits and scrambled eggs. I feel guilty for eating the French toast. I'm definitely hitting the trails again in the morning. I will be back. read more

We have been meaning to try Reveille Coffeehouse Cafe for the longest time. It is located in a busy shopping center but there is plenty of parking. We used the online waitlist feature and despite being told our table was ready we still needed to wait once we arrived. Not a huge deal, however confusing. We ordered the following: Mystic Stuffed French Toast ($9.99) Pig Out Omelette ($9.59) Side of Grits ($2.99) The french toast was amazing. I ordered the vanilla rum sauce on the side and I am really glad I did. It was really sweet and very rum-flavor forward. It was crusted in cornflakes so it was extra crispy. There was a generous amount of fresh fruit on top and the bread was nice and custardy. I will say, however, the cream cheese filling was very skimpy. I am sure I will order this again and again. It really is that good. Hubs enjoyed his omelette and I, admittedly, ate most of his breakfast potatoes. They were simply done and so satisfying. The gouda grits were great. I needed a bit of savory with my french toast and this was the perfect choice! While the food was spectacular, the service, on the other hand, was some of the worst we have had in a long time. We waited at our table for 15 minutes before our server came by with not so much as an apology or even apologetic look. She was pretty non-existent during our meal, but we did not need anything so we were fine. We then waited 10 minutes with dirty plates for her to pick up our credit card. Once she did, it took 11 minutes for her to bring our card back after she swiped it. We got a text notification as soon as she had. She walked by several times after and didn't even acknowledge us. Then it seemed like she misplaced our card because she went to give it to us and then realized she didn't have it. The food is so amazing and I love the variety of the menu. There are so many other dishes we want to try. We will absolutely be back. But I am really, really, hoping we get a different server. read more

Great quality food with small but meaningful upgrades to traditional breakfast and lunch. The Gouda Grits are outstanding and there are plenty of options for adults and children. Service is always outstanding with a friendly and informed waitstaff. Ambience is a step above traditional diner or larger chain restaurants.
