I am a 75 year old veteran. I love Rise! I go there every week. My order is always ready and correct. The budtenders are awesome! Fun, smart, full of pertinent info, relaxed atmosphere. Today I had a bout of food poisoning I was getting over from a donut I ate from Smiths (ugh) ,so I decided to try delivery for the first time. It was great. I ordered my favorite, Afternoon Delight by Rythm, which was insanely on sale at 2 for $49 for 35% THC (Can you believe it?) and the delivery dude, who I see a lot at the Dispensary when I visit there, was so cool and smiling with my 4 1/8's it made me so happy that they do this! I thanked him profusely as I paid him and told him to tell everyone at the shop how grateful I was. The cannabis was absolute medicine, made my heart sing! Go to Zen. Rise will rob you at the counter, take your money, and say tough, "that's the law". No refund, no discount, no voiding it. I asked for two items at $24 each, written note, I am deaf, the cashier made a mistake, error, and charge me $40 on one item, although thy were identical. I gave a $100 bill, change was wrong, they said tough, I had not even excepted the change yet as it was insufficient. You will pay for any mistake, got to Zen across the street. BTW, I am chronic, I will spend all my Benjamins at Zen now, Rise does seem to have all new employees all the time and I have bad words that I did not use for the Rise manager. read more

While it seems this is the best dispensary in Carson City, their products are not a good quality. They only have a handful of live resin products and no live rosin. I'm very disappointed after being a California resident. Otherwise, every time I've gone here their staff are friendly and kind. Honestly the tenders are the best, good folk. I'm giving this a two star because the management needs to wake up. There's boxes and crap everywhere. It's a mess and looks like you're about to close. Rise sells defective products and then refuses to accept returns or offer refunds. I purchased a water pipe last week from Rise and used it twice. On the third use I set down the pipe on a table and the bowl attachment broke off. Rise refused to offer ANY accommodation. As a customer who had done all my shopping for this product and related items at Rise since they opened I assumed I would be treated fairly. I was open to ANY reasonable proposal, even if it had been an offer to take $5 off a replacement item or something else, however modest. I was told to, basically, kiss off. The lack of thought in losing a lifetime customer regarding a $30 item suggests a poorly run business that may be cutting corners elsewhere. Rise should have: (1) expressed regret at selling me a defective product; (2) accepted a return of the pipe with the idea of checking the other pipes to see if they are also defective, I.e., micro cracks or ineffective attachment of the bowl to the pipe; (3) made some proposal after confirming, as your staff did, that I both purchased the pipe a week ago and was a long-term customer. I assumed Rise would do what any retail business would do - accept the defective product, work out a reasonable accommodation with the consumer, and, return the broken pipe (I brought the pipe to show the store the defect) to the manufacturer/producer/artist to ensure the defect was a one-off and not systemic. Rise did none of these things. For this reason - BEWARE any purchase of a glass product from Rise and know that regardless of the defect, Rise will not do the right thing and it will NOT stand by their product. I live in Douglas County and rely on Carson City dispensaries. I am 75 years old and help my friends of a similar age to get to CC for a variety of matters, including Rise products. I will not return to Rise nor will I bring my friends to this establishment any longer. If enough of us stop going to Rise maybe they will review their policies and customer relations attitude and display more business acumen when dealing with a $30 product and a life-long customer. Got an eighth of flower there yesterday. Assuming the seal wasn't broken and the dude working would be smart enough to look at it before putting it in the bag, or maybe it was intentional, but either way , I got it home and the seal was broken and half of the herb was gone. I called and complained but didn't have time to take it back, nor did I want to deal with the hassle. The people that work there are all weird too. I ordered online. Was directed to the online pick up line where there was a second line for medical card holders. So even though I'm next in line for online pick up they take them as they come in whether medical or online pick up. So what's the point of having 2 lines and 2 seperate cashiers if you're not going to treat them like 2 separate lines. I know it's not a big deal but it's kind of annoying and there is no way of really knowing who is truly "next" and then i get looked at and talked to like I'm the idiot when you guys are running a pointless two line system that makes no sense. read more

Was a customer here for years since they opened. Bought a cartridge for 35$ and it didn't work. Brought it back in and they said it couldn't be returned. So I wasted 35$ on something they wouldn't even return or exchange. The manager was willing to lose a customer who spends thousands each year for $35. This is the third time I have been in Rise to purchase. Again, it takes all day to get anyone to help you. This place is sooooo slow. This is the third time I have walked away and gone elsewhere. This is the closest dispensary to me but the retail side is run so poorly. No managers on site. I can't tell you how the service is as I have never gotten close to a budtender. Waited 30 minutes once and they kept taking their medical purchases ahead of anyone in line no matter how long they had been waiting. Not recommended. Go to Battle Born or Zen. But recently they seem to be rude and very unprofessional. Pretty normal experience buying from the shop. Buying online though, the menu isn't accurate. Purchased a "vanilla synergy dew drops" 1:1 100mg THC and 100mg CBD When delivered the item I received was only 50mg THC and 50mg CBD not the same dose I paid for or was shown on their menu. Called them to notify the order did not match the delivery, the guy verified the information and said they will change their menu. Not even an apology for their mistake, then he hung up. read more

I arrive with my dog and lo and behold there is no curb side!!! it no longer does any good to order ahead because you still stand in line with everyone else. This was my regular go to in Carson City as it always had the best deals, and really friendly staff. Recently went in and was not allowed to make a purchase with my Valid issued drivers license. My ID was not once scanned in. They looked at my ID before even trying to scan it and say they no longer accepted these type of IDS. My NV state drivers license is a " Limited Term Drivers License." But is very much a legal piece of identification. I let the employees know that I have been to this location multiple times with the same ID. They let me know the policy had recently changed and that multiple people have been turned away. read more
