The eye looks off to the side, sinks into the socket, and is nor wearable..yet my daughter is still bring charged. This eye is not quality work. The picture says it all! She wasted a week of my daughter's time after she traveled from another state and got rude with her when she got upset for waiting for hours in a room. Did it make you feel good to yell at a girl with cancer, doctor? Your work is subpar and you take it out on a client when they complain about your work? Bravo.

We paid nearly $1,300 for a brace for our 12 year…read moreold dog with a torn CCL and received confirmation from Orthopets that production had begun. 3 weeks later, we learned from our vet - not from Orthopets - that the company is currently "paused for an ownership transition." Orthopets has not answered calls or emails, nor have they provided any update, explanation, or apology for delays to their paying customers. The rep didn't even notify our vet. Our vet only discovered the closure after repeatedly trying to contact them. I understand companies go through changes, but when people are relying on you for support for an injured pet, complete lack of communication is unacceptable. It reflects poorly on the new ownership and shows complete disregard for customers and their pets. At this point, Orthopets has lost my trust, and they will not be getting my business again (fingers crossed our other girl with hip and knee problems won't suffer the same injury). Because surgery is not an option for our senior girl, we are now scrambling for a Plan B. I wish we had known about this a month earlier - the prolonged use of only 3 legs puts her at greater risk of injuring the others and making matters even worse. Please work with your vet before choosing this company. Based on my experience, they are unreliable, unresponsive, and I still have no information about if or when we will ever receive the brace our dog urgently needs.

They gave me the wrong size walking boot, without needed padding, documented incorrectly, and sent me away with two different leg lengths. Fortunately, I realized this and asked how to make my other shoe higher. . Of course I had to buy the device on Amazon or search other stores. This place should carry lifts. When I voiced my experience to the manager, she really didn't seem to care much. My experience was that I didn't need nearly as much as other people that need prosthetics. Very unhappy with this place.

I met with Thomas in December and returned in January to be measured and fitted for a brace that's right for me. During the first consultation, Thomas was patient, listened to me about my medical history with the knee, answered all of my questions/concerns, and sent me home with additional information to consider before my appt in January. At the follow-on visit, Thomas made a final recommendation and carefully fitted me for the brace all while showing me how and when to use the brace once I take delivery. I highly recommend Thomas and Horizon for their professionalism, empathy, and experience in the prosthetics industry.

I had relayed the answer Ossur customer service gave me, and he laughed and gave me a different answer. And I don't know who to believe now. I do know I don't trust James. Microprocessor knees and high performance feet are major breakthroughs in the past decade. As a former Paralympic athlete and current outdoor sport enthusiast, I know with certainty that the leg "hardware" is only as good as the fit and finish, as performed by a qualified prosthetist. I recently found myself extremely frustrated. My prosthetist at a well known "big-box firm" just could not get my replacement leg to fit properly. Weeks went by. As my orthodo(c)g said after my back surgery, "hopefully those nerves will regenerate . . . but it might take up to a year." So, given a limping paw, I was directed to what I was told was the best brace maker in Denver, Hangar Orthotics and Prosthetics. They're a national company named after the Civil War vet/amputee/inventor who built some darn snappy wooden legs and other helpful replacement things post-Appomattox. These guys are serious and know what they're doing. Me? I'm hoping not to need this custom doo-hickey in a month or two, but it sure helps for now. My rating: a solid 4 ruffs. (Only a small scheduling glitch keeps these folks from the etherial 5 ruff rating:-).
