Excellent slope-side cuisine, but be warned: it's not cheap, and you're eating into a lot of your time on the slopes. But isn't that kind of the idea when skiing in the Alps?
We stopped here, rather than the Riffelalp Resort Restaurant twenty yards away, because it had three times the number of patrons even at 2:30pm. Great decision. We were seated immediately, and went on to enjoy an amazing ossobuco (with ratatouille and polenta) and an almost-as-good lamb risotto. Paired with a bottle of enjoyable Swiss white wine (Chilled in the snow! Brilliant!) and followed up with a solid panna cotta with plums, the main issue we had was a nasty bout of lethargy that kept us from wanting to get back on our skis and head home. But they didn't rush us out, so we had plenty of time to recline and digest (if not a lot of time to ski afterwards). read more
