The location is not on the main street. And we ate outside of restaurant and felt so good. The food what we order are pizza and spaghetti. It doesn't impress us at the beginning. But we feel more tasty when we eat more. I think their material is more natural and healthy. I do enjoy whole dining experience. I bet dinner will be even better. Of course service is very good. An excellent stop on our food tour, we were here to taste their pasta. There's no keto diet in Italy and this is a great example of why. This is a cute restaurant with stone walls and a lovely intimate vibe. Comfortable and good service, our waitress did speak English. As it was the food tour, we had a set menu and did not have an opportunity to see their printed menu. Sample portions of two of their sauces with spaghetti with a glass of wonderful Sicilian red wine. The lemon with zucchini was great as was the tomato sauce with eggplant. Both topped with a crumbled white cheese that added to the flavor. Really good stuff and a big portion for a sample. Cooked to the right al dente and delicious. The staff was friendly. Indoor decor sparse. I don't think that having a tv blaring a quiz show enhanced my dining experience. The food was ok -nothing outstanding. I get pasta as good or better in NJ, although the variety of available preparations was impressive. Wonderful off the beaten path gem of a restaurant. We came in looking for pasta and we're not disappointed. Starter consisted of caprese salad. The mozzarella was homemade and delicious, although to be honest the tomatoes were a little under ripe. Of course it is January. Also ordered a pasta and a meat dish. The Spaghetti alla Carrettiera was wonderful. Fresh pasta with olive oil, garlic, pepper and toasted breadcrumbs. Just the right amount of spice from the pepper and not too heavy. The Bistecca alla griglia was great. Steak was tender and potatoes roasted to perfection. Ended our dinner with a lovely cappuccino and espresso. Staff was lovely. This was the best restaurant my family ate in in Italy, Sicily and Malta. The home made macaroni, made fresh every morning apparently, was the best! Ever!! The tomato sauce- also the best ever! Egg plant tiny bites and fresh grated cheese was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant and if I ever find myself in Palermo again, this will be where I stay! The restaurant served delicious , reasonably priced Italian food. We ate dinner in a small room- all stone covered with arches! I felt like I was eating in a stone cave! The waiters were service oriented and we enjoyed pasta, salad and delicious wine. The bill was about 40 dollars for the two of us! It's in a tiny cobblestone alley off of the Main Street in Palermo. If hungry while visiting Palermo, Primi Piatti should be your first choice. It's a small and cosy restaurant serving tipical Sicilian cuisine. Its first pro is the location - Primi Piatti is situated on a lovely, narrow street in the centre of the town. Thanks to that it's close to all the turistic spots and in the same time kind of hidden from noise - great place to relax. Secondly, the service is really nice. I suppose that the owner himself is taking the orders, which I personally adore. Then comes the food - absolutely fantastic! During my one-week stay in Palermo I went there twice (sooo good!), tried pasta and risotto and both were so incredibly tasty! Also my friend's meals were great - she took pasta twice and was very happy. Last, but not least: prices. It's really cheap place. I'm giving five stars and if I could, I'd add one more :) read more

Cute little hole in the wall on the cobble streets of Palermo! It's a small and quaint restaurant. The service was excellent and the prices are unbelievable compared to New York for the quality and quantity! Everything from appetizers to dinner was absolutely delicious. We had a great meal here. Very quaint little place and very good service. We ordered the spadini which was sooo Yummly and had some of the best calamari ever. The pasta with mushroom and sausage was also very tasty. Would highly recommend if you are on the main walking street. read more

The chef put white sauce instead of red sauce which we used to eat in North American,which makes the flavour of vegetables,mushroom and tomato taste so freshly good;ham cooked perfectly on time, not saggy, not dry, just right with mozzarella; Cuttlefish Spaghetti taste so good, a little bit salt, but with tomato in the sauce, the flavour is so rich; Caponata is an must order appertizerin Sicily, won't disappointed. read more

Pizza is thin crust with substantial toppings but tomatoes had a bit of a sweet flavour. Seafood grilled 2nd course dishes huge. Scaloppini was well presented and tasty. Place seems popular with the locals. Go early to get a seat--do not necessarily answer phone to take reservations. Tucked away in a small side street off of Via Vittorio Emanuele (a nice and lively but somewhat touristy street), this restaurant serves great pasta dishes. We had the Spaghetti alla Norma, a favorite of my girlfriend's which she had also ordered at many other places, and the Fettuccine with Sicilian pesto. Both were delicious. The tomato sauce of the Norma was very rich and flavorful. The house wine was great too and served at just the right temperature. The setting both inside and outside is nice too with candle lights and stone walls creating a nice atmosphere. All in all, great value for money. read more

Wandered in as it was one of the few real restaurants open before 8 pm. Extensive menu of traditional Sicilian and Southern Italian food. My husband and I wanted pizza for lunch. We checked Yelp and many of the restaurants either did not do pizza at lunch or were closed for lunch. We finally found a restaurant that offered pizza at lunch so we headed off to Primi Piatti. We arrived at the restaurant and were greeted quickly and seated indoors. The interior was clean and nicely done in the typical Italian style. We reviewed the menu and were happy to see the prices were very reasonable and they charged only 1 Euro per person for coperto. Hubby ordered pizza and I ordered calamari fritte. Our beer and wine was served quickly. My beer was icy cold and their house red was great. Our bill was 23 Euros. Would go back again. read more
