I will say that Lex was hospitable and fast, the service only took about 30 minutes. However it was disappointing on so many levels, starting with the tacky fake plants outside. The bathroom was cute and clean, but as I walked back to the appointment room there was a bunch of junk stacked by the wall, and the appointment room was brightly lit with uncomfortable paper bedding. I am used to wax spas using nice soft linens. When my wax was over she left the room and did not offer me any sort of wipe to clean up with (as is customary in my experience) and also missed quite a lot of hair in the back. When I met her at the register and told her about this she did offer to go back in and fix it, but I really didn't want to bother with going back into that gross room and undressing again. Typically at a wax spa you would be offered a hand mirror to check before they actually leave the room and have you get dressed again. I was also disturbed by the fact that there wasn't a sink or even hand sanitizer in the room. I can only hope that she was going into the bathroom between clients to wash her hands but who knows! Anyway, definitely would not return. Not for me.

Something I had a very hard time with & was really a struggle for me was they don't have proper pedicure chairs. They're just regular chairs & a large basin for your feet that IS NOT SECURED TO THE FLOOR, so I spent the entire service with my legs tensed because I was trying so hard not to push this huge water basin full of soapy water etc onto the lap of my nail tech!! Despite my efforts to prevent the basin from pushing towards her lap, my poor nail tech had to continually reach up & push the basin back towards me because it was perpetually sliding all through the service. When I expressed my apologies for its sliding, she stated "it's fine, she's used to it." She was very sweet but this frustration really took away from me being able to relax during the pedi because my legs were so tensed & I was so worried about the basin splashing into her lap! I selected Statement Pedicure ($60) with gel add-on and removal ($15). I received luxury add-on free - lip mask. I selected colors from an old school book but screen try-one are also an option. I went with tried and true OPI but other options/brands are available. I love the pedicure area that includes privacy dividers and curtains. If you're doing pedicure solo, you can be separated from other guests. If you're visiting with the group, the curtain can be lifted. It creates a very relaxing experience. I asked for tea (quite a few choices) and my tea magically appeared at my chair when I arrived. The chair rotates to let you easily climb in, has gentle massage and heat. Gel removal starts with cute plastic clip-ons for quicker removal. You are asked about shaping and the number of coats. I liked my nail tech and her preciseness. Plan for a bit extra time (over an hour) if you're planning to take gel off and reapply gel. I feel like other salons have more masks as part of the pedicure service, but I was satisfied here. SERVICE: I'd love to add a few other reasons I love Statement. I recently called in to move up my appointment to an earlier time the day of. They easily switched me which seemed like a miracle. Upon arriving, Laila greeted me and was very nice. She asked if I had had threading before or if it was my first time and I explained that I have been threading for 2 years now. She had me lay down on her table and I explained that I wanted my eye brows kind of thin but since my eye brows are kind of straight I wanted a small arch towards the tail end. She worked very quick and paid attention to plucking the stray hairs. After she was done she showed me a mirror to look and if i wanted any changes she could do it as well. I am very happy about the threading and how my eyes turned out. Just for this one session it was $27. Granted it is waaaayyy more expensive than what I'm use to (I paid $7 + $3 tip in Houston) I would recommend Laila's business to any lady who's interested in getting threaded.
