Our group tried a chestnut puree, a puncs torte (rum cake) and an apple strudel and they were definitely homemade and brought us back to how our parents baked when we were growing up as my Dad was an award-winning baker with his lovely tortes and other baked goods. There are vegetarian and vegan options - you just need to let your Server know about your requirements. Please make it a point to go to this restaurant and they will make you feel as though you have come home for a wonderful meal. The person who I assume does some of the baking, Annamaria Torok, also offers weekend "workshops" at the restaurant for those interested. Her classes as for baked goods as well as main courses. The food was amazing and the portions were huge! I ordered combo "C" which started with a goulash stew. It was delicious! That alone filled me up lol. Then came the gigantic schnitzel with potatoes! The schnitzel was gigantic, the size was bigger than my head lol, I ordered the pork schnitzel, it was perfectly brown yet inside wasn't dry at all^^ and i chose the potato salad for the side, it was delicious, ultra creamy, and well seasoned. Our reservation was at 6P. We left at 5P. It took us 35 minutes. Great meal. Started with the goulash. The beef had been pounded and was small and tender like the potatoes and carrots. I opted for minor spicy. It was served very hot and was perfect. We've had goulash at Grundel in Hungary, and this was comparable. We both had the pork wienerschnitzel, which came with fried potatoes and a smidge of red cabbage. The pork was divine. We've had wienerschnitzel across Central Europe, and this one was perfection. The sprinkle of dill added a nice mild tang (great touch). The portion of pork was not huge, but you get plenty of taters. My lovely had the apple strudel for dessert. I had the crepe stuffed with jam. Both were incredible. I paired mine with the Viennese coffee, which could have been served a bit hotter. It was tasty, though. I also had the berry spritzer and a shot of apricot brandy. The first was refreshing; the second didn't taste very apricoty. Parking is immediately in front of this gem. Wonderful meal expertly prepared. A bit pricey, but worth every penny. Highly recommend.

The Hungry Hungarian is a new food truck that just opened in Bethany, ON. They have the usual…read moreburgers, fries, hot dogs and sausage. But the thing you MUST try is their 'Signature Sandwich'! It starts with fresh bread dough... I mean really, really fresh... the lady brought out the flour and started making the dough, amazing! The dough is shaped into pizza-like circles and pan fried golden brown. While that's happening, they prepare and fry up two huge pork schnitzels. When everything is ready, they assemble this massive sandwich topped with their lesco sauce, cheese and sauerkraut. They have other toppings if you want a more traditional schnitzel sandwich. Either way... the sandwich is spectacular!!! Combine that with their fresh cut fries and you're all set! Fantastic and friendly service. Again everything is made fresh so it make take a little while to prepare your order, but the sandwich is worth the wait!
