I happen to work overnights, and ever since the Covid Era this pharmacy has had limited hours and staff. I used to be able to pick up my prescriptions before or after work - but not anymore. Now, they're closed when I wake up for work and they don't open until three hours after I get out of work. Because I am an adult with a life and other obligations: it is difficult for me to get to Walgreens to pick up my prescription at the very moment it is ready. I recently went into the pharmacy to pick up a script that the app said was ready and - they had cancelled it because I 'did not pick it up in time.' This is not the first time that this has happened to me. I promise I am not lazy, it is just impossible for me to get there the same day. If I have to wait a couple of days - screw me, I guess, because then the prescription has been cancelled and I have to wait 45+ minutes in the store for them to fill it again. On my most-recent trip, the cashier was...and I'm sorry to say this, but I didn't get her name...a hood-rat looking young woman. She had a bad dye job, too-dark makeup, and a nasty attitude. I'd ask her a question ('How long after a prescription is ready do you cancel if it it isn't picked up?') and she'd respond with rolled eyes and an unrelated question ('Did you wanna wait for it or nah?') She mumbled a lot, too: not just to herself but also while speaking to me. She was barely audible, except when I said: 'No, don't bother filling it, I'm not waiting,' and I turned to walk away. Then is when she SCREAMED: 'Well that was rude!!!' Oh, I was rude? For expecting to pick up my prescription that the app said was ready & waiting to be picked up? Alright, then. I filed a complaint about her on the Walgreens site. I moved my prescriptions elsewhere. This pharmacy is a joke. The app is annoying. You can either enable or disable notifications. If you don't enable notifications then you aren't notified when your prescriptions are ready. And a lot of times, you'll get a 'Your prescription is processing' notification, then a 'Your prescription is ready' notification immediately followed by a 'Your prescription is delayed' notification - and then no further notifications, so you have no idea whether your prescription is ready or or not unless you call the pharmacy. I've called the pharmacy - the typical wait time to speak to a live human (not even a pharmacist - just a cashier) is one hour. And If you do enable notifications then you will be notified when your prescriptions are ready BUT you'll also get notifications for when sunscreen is on sale, or what Memorial Day groceries deals are happening, and MORE notifications for every other item that is on sale.

The other time I went, a girl and a guy stood there talking for about five minutes before I was even acknowledged. I was polite both times, and I understand that people have bad days, but.. yikes. I don't want to give Tops less than a "2" because I haven't experienced the rest of the store, but I do know that I'll never go back there.

Recently I had my scripts sent to a different pharmacy because this place is so slow. Unfortunately they didn't take my insurance. I called and spoke directly to Jim. He assured me he would get the scripts transferred back. Eight days later and still no scripts. I actually stopped in Tuesday to see why and they do didn't have them. They didn't have a reason. Yesterday I called again and the man said they couldn't be transferred...but the controlled substance was...?!?! Finally I got in contact with my Nunda pharmacy and they are greatful for my business. Never again will I go into this God forsaken pLace.

Walk in here any time of day, and you will see that the clientele of this gas station and minimart runs the gamut. Around noontime on a weekday, ladies and gentlemen in scrubs to or from Roswell queue up behind crackheads, suits, food-stamp wielders one step from impoverishment, teenagers on the lam, hipsters, and raving maniacs. So long as the money keeps coming, it doesn't matter if the purchase is gas, scratch offs, beer, limes, capicola... Wait, what? A gas station sells vegetables, pastries, and deli meats? This one does. Like Allentown's own composition, the array of items available is baffling, often beyond logic. While microbrews and chips can be found in abundance, in a variety of different sizes and shapes, no large boxes of cookies can be found. Cottage cheese is available, as are Gramma Mora's tacos and fresh produce, and I always wonder on seeing them who is actually purchasing them. (It turns out that I am in fact a cottage cheese fiend.) But for this convenience, for this variety of products, prices oftentimes trend towards the absurd. You won't find candy for less than $1.19 each, even though they'll sell at Tops on Niagara Street for nearly half that. Packs of 12 Oreos sell for 50 cents less than a full package would at the nearby PriceRite. Meanwhile, you can find coldcuts for less than $3 a pound and Al Cohen's brand bakery rolls and rye bread at prices cheaper than the same TOPS. What the heck is up with this place? As a consistent visitor, I find Allentown Trading Company's bizarre prices and weird selection as frustrating as I find the rest of the neighborhood. As someone perhaps stopping in on their way downtown in the morning, I suppose it would blend in with everything else. NB: Their coffee is NOT good, but it is cheap. Buy six cups, proffer a punch card, and you'll find that your seventh is free.

When she got back I told her that I was sorry I got cash back. She proceeded to tell me she already gave me 10 dollars. She never gave me ten dollars she got upset and started yelling at me. She called the manager and still yelled when I told her it's 10 dollars I'll get it from the ATM and deal with it tomorrow. She ended up giving me the 10 dollars after yelling a bunch.
